Redmi 5 plus bricket - Stuck in mi logo - Nothing Work - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hello,
My Redmi 5 plus is stuck in MI Logo, i tried TESTPOINT and flash MIUI 10 - MIUI 11, Global, Beta, Chinese, all sucessful but the phone still stuck in Mi Logo. I can acess fastboot but the phone is locked, so i dont know what i can do to restore the phone.
Someone can help me? I searched the forum, found people with the same problem as me but no solution.
Thx

There is solution.
1. Enter fastboot and Unlock bootloader (using the same process mi unlock tool)
2. Flash OrangeFox recovery using Minimal ADB and fastboot
3. Format data Clean flash any aosp based custom rom (wipe cache, dalvik, system, data)
4. Let the room finish Boot and then reboot to recovery again
5. Then clean flash MIUI using Orangefox (if you wanted to flash it in the first place)
It should Boot now.

Is there any way for an official bootloader unlock except for boxes?

You have to use official mi unlock tool for unlocking bootloader. I don't understand what you mean by "boxes".

I'm trying exactly these steps but seems it goes bootloop aswell, doesnt boot both custom rom and MIUI.
I'm flashing with orangefox the MIUI.zip, not the fastboot, if i'm wrong let me know.

did you format data? it's not the same as wiping. it's under manage partitions in orangefox. it'll delete your internal storage

Yes, i formatted data and reboot to recovery to make partitions set-up before rebooting to system.
I'm trying again today something i missed. I'll keep checking this post.
Detailed process:
1) Wipe cache, system, data, dalvik
2) Format Data
3) Reboot to recovery (to make partitions set-up)
4) Flash my aosp rom
5) Reboot to recovery
6) Reboot system (and getting bootloop)
And i repeat the process for MIUI rom.

Update: I managed to solve this, as you can read here: forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5/help/redmi-note-5-plus-vince-bootloop-stuck-t4044219
Solved
1) Flash TWRP or OrangeFox (i did it with OF)
2) Clean Flash any custom rom, probably still bootloop
3) Reboot recovery
4) Wipe everything (dalvik, data, system, cache), also format data (format ≠ wipe)
5) Reboot recovery
6) Flash your MIUI rom
7) Reboot recovery
8) Repeat step #4
9) Reboot recovery
10) Flash again your MIUI rom
11) Reboot recovery
12) Flash persist.img file in persist partition, you can find this file in your fastboot MIUI rom downloaded at https://c.mi.com/miuidownload/index
13) Reboot system
14) Wait a lot, take a cup of tea.

Recovery deleting

Good morning everybody.
I need some help with my kiw-l21. I've got installed CM13 with stock recovery. I have tried to install TWRP recovery but with no success and I want it to be installed on the device but I can't achieve it. I'm doing: adb reboot bootloader --> fastboot flash recovery twrp.img --> fastboot boot twrp.img and in TWRP, reboot -> recovery but I always get the emui stock recovery. In a friend honor 5x new, I did the same steps and twrp is now installed. Why I can't install TWRP in my device?
Thanks you for all!
Is your bootloader unlocked? Looks like eRecovery is flashing back stock one. And how did you manage to install CM with stock recovery, on B350 it has just "Reboot, Wipe data, Wipe cache" options?

Yes, I have bootloader unlocked. To install CM I did fastboot boot twrp.img. The recovery have: "Reboot system now", "Wipe data/factory reset" and "Wipe cache partition"
OK, try this order and give me feedback:
- adb reboot bootloader
- fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
- fastboot reboot
- adb reboot recovery
Mine worked that way with 0 issues.

Try but emui recovery appear after adb reboot recovery.
BTW I have upgrade CM13 to LOS14.1 and now wifi doesn't work and MAC address is like xx:00:00.... all zeros.
Flash twrp directly by using
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Stuck on bootloader, can't restore TWRP stock backup

Ok, this is what I did since the beginning:
0. Full stock.
1. fastboot boot recovery.img
2. Read-only TWRP, full stock backup, including system image
3. Flashed TWRP
4. Flashed custom kernel
5. Flashed SuperSU
Everything was just fine, I just want to rollback:
6. adb reboot recovery
7. On TWRP, full backup restore (including original boot, efs and bootloader)
8. Data, cache and dalvik wipe
9. Reboot system
10. Stuck on bootloader with ID: bad key
Any ideas how do I go back to stock?

I am having the same problem with being stuck at the bootloader warning screen. I think you'll have to flash the stock recovery. This link has them.
https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto Z/Stock/XT1650-03/
If you know how to select which one to flash, please do let me know as I am stuck at this step and don't know which one to flash.

Note that when you enable TWRP system write access, dm-verity will be tripped and you will be unable to boot unless you reflash the firmware or flash a custom kernel.

How can I lock the phone back after unlocking bootloader, rooting, installing Xposed?

How can I lock the phone back after unlocking bootloader, rooting, installing Xposed?
Wipe installed custom ROM (System+data+cache+dalvik).
**Internal storage optional (You may have to flash TWRP again though).
Install MIUI recovery ROM pack through TWRP. Run MIUI initial setup. Reboot to fastboot and flash stock recovery, you can find stock recovery in MIUI forums. After that check for successful flash and successful system boot. Only then run the fastboot command to lock the bootloader :
fastboot oem lock
**Do not lock with TWRP. You'll hard brick your phone
***After flashing MIUI in TWRP flash lazyflasher or your device will be stuck
If you don't understand the complications in this method please ignore it, am sure there are some easier ways using MiFlash. Check MIUI forum for relocking and recovering to MIUI. If you wanna come back to the world of custom ROMs and Mods XDA is the place.

Thank You
BTW If you have the time could you write this more in steps like for a noob. If not it still kicks a$$ and thanks for reply
First you need to get rid of your current ROM and it's data. For that boot into TWRP and select wipe, in the list of partitions displayed select :
•System
•Data
•Cache
•Dalvikand confirm wipe. This step removes the ROM and data associated with it. Now the only thing you can access is TWRP and fastboot.
Also during wipe you can also select to wipe Internal Storage partition but after you do this you may lose TWRP also at the next boot. Now your phone can only boot into fastboot mode. So if you did wipe your internal storage also flash TWRP again from fastboot. If you ask how..:
•Download TWRP recovery from here
•Copy the downloaded file to any folder on your PC.
•Install ADB and fastboot drivers on your PC if you haven't.
•Reboot phone into fastboot mode(Power + Volume down) and connect to PC.
•Go to folder where your placed the TWRP image file.
•Open command prompt in that folder (Shift+right click mouse, open command window here)
•Type the following commands without the quotes :
" fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-0-mido.IMG "
•Now try rebooting into TWRP (Power + Volume Up). If you followed the steps right you should be able to.Remember this step is only if you decide to wipe internal storage also else it is completely not necessary.
OK now that you are left with a phone that only has TWRP we need a ROM to boot into, in your case you want a MIUI ROM. Download latest stable MIUI recovery ROM pack from MIUI website or just google if your having trouble finding it. For MIUI ROMs to successfully boot on a custom recovery you need to flash an additional zip called lazyflasher else your phone will be stuck at the MI logo. I'll attach the zip below. Okay so now since you have the required files copy them to your phone's internal storage.
Boot into TWRP and install the MIUI ROM zip first and the Lazyflasher zip after that. Reboot into system and phone should enter MIUI initial setup in some minutes(be patient MIUI initial boot can be long). Finish the setup.
Now you need to flash the latest stock recovery of your phone. I don't have it with me now so a simple google search will do the work. The procedure for flashing the recovery is the same as flashing TWRP which I have mentioned above. The only change you have do in the fastboot command line is the file name of your stock recovery.
After flashing check for successful boot, only then proceed with the relocking procedure as follows:
•Boot phone into fastboot mode
•Connect to PC
•Open Command prompt
•Type this fastboot command without the quotes :
" fastboot oem lock"•Once done reboot your phone.
Now you must have a relocked phone.
**Never relock your phone with any custom mods like custom recovery, custom ROM or even a MIUI which is rooted. Also be on 100% stock configuration before relocking device. Failing to do so will result in a hard brick.

After installing custom rom successfully, set failed to reboot into system

I wanted to install custom rom for realme 3 pro, so i followd the following steps -
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. Install TWRP ( file size 26 mb)
3. Install Vbmeta.img
4. Wipe cache, data, dalvik / also tried format data / also tried wipe cache, dalvik, system
4. Install charlie decryption tools
5. Install Custom Rom
it shows flash is successful, but set reboots into fastboot mode... i powered off phone, then power on,but again set boots into fastboot mode although twrp installed successfully, rom flashed successfully..but set dowsn't reboot into system rather it reboots into fastboot mode...
I also tried orange fox recoveey but same problem happens
Note before - I haven't installed magisk and gsi on my device
now, how can i install custom rom?
:fingers-crossed::cyclops:

Bootloop even after flashing stock MIUI with Fastboot

I was running the latest MIUI Global 11.0.2 and wanted to go back to custom ROMs since its really slow
I unlocked my bootloader and flashed LOS 17.1 with NikGapps
It didn't boot, I tried flashing it a few other times and flashing the latest firmware, etc
now even OrangeFox recovery can NOT mount almost any of the partitions and even after flashing MIUI using mi flash I am stuck in a boot loop
I am really unsure about what I should do, Fastboot MIUI would always fix such problems
Any help would be great
"Format Data" using OrangeFox recovery
then clean install any rom you wish
Same here, i was on MIUI11, decided to install Aosp extended but when i tried to flash again MIUI from fastboot i get bootloop. Now not only on miui, but also bootloop on custom roms. Tried everything with both twrp and orangefox.
I'm following this post

Hello !
I solved this in different way because that solution was not working for me. It seems that MI account was still on the phone and making the flash stock roms attemps fail miserably, I didn´t know about that until i install this rom:
"MIUI 12.5 Android 10 Xiaomi.EU by PaintYourAndroid for Vince"The thing was that custom rom and twrp fastboot via work fine, so i tried different roms and finally came to this when i installed that rom above: THIS PHONE IS LOCKED, ACTIVATE THIS PHONE (MI ACCOUNT). So i activate the phone and went to the initial setup and go for the mi account and closed the session on the phone.
Next step, flash with miflash and stock rom V11.0.2.0.OEGMIXM and lock bootloader (its my wifes phone) and finally works!!
Maybe the MI account is locking down the flash because security reasons and blockin the flashing process.
I hope this another solution works for anyone. And before mess with custom roms closed the session of mi account if you are using it. I factory reset the phone before unlock bootloader (via miunlock) but that was not enough.
Cheers

For flashing, i've used "miui_HM5PlusGlobal_V11.0.2.0.OEGMIXM_f74369de0c_8.1.zip" and i've taken persist.img from "Xiaomi_Redmi_5_Plus_V11.0.2.0.OEGMIXM_20191108.0000.00_Global_8.1_XFT_(by_xiaomistockrom.com).zip"
and it worked for me too
I encounter the similar behaviour on my Redmi Note 9 Pro Global (joyeuse) : after flashing stock fastboot image using flash_all.bat or flash_all_except_data_storage.bat, the phone cannot get past the initial Redmi logo.
I fixed it by using the official MiFlash tool https://cdn.alsgp0.fds.api.mi-img.com/micomm/MiFlash2020-3-14-0.rar
I have no idea why running the bat files doesn't work.

After fighting a few days with repair my POCO x3 NFC and looking for solution online which I didn't find, I can say that partially because of this post, I was able to install finally stock MIUI ROM. I was able to install only Elite Rom and it worked (strange).
I manually made a flash_all.bat file that it installs all stock MIUI images via fastboot, then (I don't really remember everything sorry ;( too many operations) then installed TWRP 3.5.2_10-5 surya, then wipe as GuestD2468 says on point 4, then fastboot flash (or TWRP flash?) persist.img also from MIUI stock firmware\images folder, still bootloop so the I flashed (update?) miui_SURYAEEAGlobal_V12.0.8.0.RJGEUXM_11.0.zip and then Stock MIUI finally runs Hurraaa . Sorry for not remember of exact queue of operations ;(.
What I still observed is that I can't still see SUPER or SYSTEM partitions in TWRP or OrangeFox. Im really sure that I saw SUPER partition for example to wipe in TWRP before I start playing with custom roms. It looks like Super partition disappears forever (or current versions of TWRP and OF didn't see that partitions?) Maybe its a problem to install roms because there is "no such partition"? Super partition is not active and making troubles with installing roms? Im amateur in new android 10 or 11 partitions (I had HTC m8 before). So I decided to flash that original stock ROM and just wait for better official TWRP's.

How can you reboot recovery in step 5 after wiping the system in step 4. Recovery gives the waring "No OS is installed, do you still wish to reboot" before rebooting and if we reboot phone shows "System is Destroyed" and the recovery is automatically removed , only fastboot remains.
