Developer Option Settings - How to make them Stuck - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody. Actually I own a Realme X2 Pro. In this phone sometimes developer options deactivate by themselves or reset their settings. I know this is a thing to discuss in Realme forum, but this is related to my question.
Since many years I tried to make developer options settings stuck, without the need to set them again after every reboot. Seems that until now it was impossible.
Is there a way to do it, now that Android is on version 9/10? Or is it still impossible?

[Q] power.saving.mode

im trying to disable forever that annoying Power saver mode that disables mobile internet when screen off in htc phones(not only the notification).
By now, i figured out it has something to do with power.saving.mode, but i cant find a detailed explanation on the forums, and testing on it didnt have significant changes.
Can someone help me please? Google also cant find a detailed explanation on this matter, only different settings.
pd: i dont mean disabling it in settings menu, because it activates itself again.
I´ve read that in some devices, service menu gives the option to disable some sort of power saving mode, but in this model codes wont work (*#*#4636#*#* wont give that option)

power.saving.mode
first of all, thanks for answering.
If i do so, the whole energy option dissapears...is it possible to do so without sacrificing the whole thing?.
maybe it would be easier to customize it, i mean, set it to launch at 5% instead of 14%, but i have to look how as i dont have a clue to do so, or even if its possible.
and finally, i dont know if im saying this correctly, Eid Mubarak to you and your family!

Accessibility always turn off on Android 5.0 Samsung Note3

Hi guys,
First of let me thank you for all the efforts and experiences you are sharing here, i have been an active user on this site while i was using my first smartphone technology an Imate Jamin and got a lot of help here regarding flashing the ROM.
I am a telecom engineer and read and browse a lot before posting this thread.
Each time i install an app, it goes under the service in the accessibility settings and you have to turn the service on so you can use the app. Fine, no problem for now, but the problem is that 5,10 mins or after a certain period, the service under accessibility seetings turn off automatically. I searched a lot for hidden apps processes or anything hat might cause this but didnt find any answer, even i went to a code development to solve this, i have attached a screenshot, any help will be really appreciated since as a telecom engineer i tried all the options available.
Have a good day all.

Do developer options reset after restarting the phone?

Hello all as the title implies, I would like to ask if you are experiencing too this issue and if there is any solution. For me it is quit important as I can’t have all apps compatible for split view because the “force activities to be resizable” setting inside developer options requires restarting the device to work but here is the problem with Mate 10,if I restart the device all the developer options are reset, so I am stucked with this particular option.

I believe all phones do this, not just the Mate 10.

Hello , no it is not. To force all apps to be resizable so that can all work in Split View you need to enable the option in Developer mode and then restart the phone to be activated. So the statement you made is not logical because that option can’t be enabled as after restarting all the options get reset on Mate 10 so it is a dead end. I have tested this on Oneplu 3 ,3T, Note 5 , S7 Edge and Nexus 5X and I had no problem at all.
Oneplus and Nexus are even on Android 8.0 like Mate 10.
This is very serious for me because you can’t have all apps compatible with split view like the other phones I had and I want this for work monitoring purposes ...

Mate 10 ALP-L29 8.0.0.119 (C636)
yes the phone is reset after it restarts. specially noticed this after changing the dpi
I have the same problem with my Mate 9. Developer Options do not stick, but, there is a partial solution. Some of the options there have actual system, global or security variables associated with them. For instance I use tasker to switch on and off the "Mobile data always active" setting by running a shell command as "settings put global mobile_data_always_on 0/1" as needed. If you have adb installed, you can run the list command for each variable set, before and after toggling a setting, so you can later compare the result and figure out which variable you need to set. More info here: http://forum.joaoapps.com/index.php...ings-to-use-in-autotools-secure-settings.210/ Please note, the use of AutoTools is not necessary as a simple shell task would suffice in most cases
With mine, if you turn developer options off, you are still able to change dpi even though developer options are off, if you reset when it's like that, it resets itself. If you turn them on and make the changes again and restart it will stick.
Same Problem with the Huawei P10 with VTR-09 8.0.0.371(C432) (unrooted with TWRP). DPI is reset after every restart. If there is any solution, please tell me, I hate it to use a mobile wich looks like the one from my grandma with that big font size etc.
[EDIT]
Before the previously update it works fine btw.

i'm on B126 firmware (funkyhuawei method)
127(C432) Same here.
Problem is solved with a factory reset
127(C432) Same here. A factory reset didn't do anything. Seems to be a problem with the firmware. Probably have to wait for an update unless someone finds a workaround.
My mate 10 pro is the same on 128 software. Wont save any bluetooth developer settings. Blue tooth sounds crap, it's not even close to my old iPhone for sound quality.
Im having same problem why wont developer options save on my Samsung Galaxy A71, can someone really explain why this is happening when all my software are up to date. I hope this a common issue and will be fixed or is this a defective or hacked phone ?
Developer options not saving on android.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus - Lockscreen Bypass

Hi,
First of all I am really sorry for the questions and the beginner kind of questions. I really need your help. Your help is appreciated.
Please do not calm me down (is reassure the right english word?)! I just want to hear facts and answers regarding the truth/reality..
I have got a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus (SM-G965F, Duos), bought in Germany. My Android Version was Android 8 or higher, but I can only guess this part. Maybe it was older than Android 8?
It fell into water (only the bottom part) a year ago and about a month ago i gave it to a repairshop (I know that this was very late).
I did not give my lock screen code to the shop workers. I did not give them any code.
The Bitdefender App (full) was installed on the phone.
As I remembered that there was sensitive data on the phone I took my phone back the next day. Bitdefender has mentioned that there was failed access attempt to my phone. Bitdefender App took one or more photos (I can only see one) of a worker trying to unlock my phone.
I used Bitdefender, so I think the Secure Boot was disabled (I think). Is this important for my question?
The old data (before giving to the shop) was on my phone, no deletion of any file, as far as I can remember my own files.
Questions:
Could the workers of the phone service shop get any kind of access, e.g. by cracking my phone, bypassing or just trying. I mean, they are professionals or semi-professionals. My phone code consisted of four digits I think. There was no SIM-card inside the phone.
When I took my phone back the date was set to january 1st. Why that? How can that be? The Bitdefender App said that the photo was taken on 2018-01-01, 15:41 o'clock. Maybe Bitdefender takes it from the android system. Or from WiFi of the shop? Is that possible for them to connect to their WiFi without the lockscreen code? Can it be, that they unlocked the phone, and messed up the timestamp?
Is access (if possible) only via USB cable possible or wirelessly, too?
After a bit of investigation I found out that there is software to rescue data both from iOS and Android systems (For example: Dr. Fone). Maybe access it possible with software like that?
The warranty void of my phone is: 0x0. So I think that software like CWM or TWRK was not installed on my phone, am I right? And I also think that my phone was not rooted, am I right? But I have read that you can flash the full ROM, to set it back, from 0x1 to 0x0 (https://c.mi.com/thread-1898682-1-0.html)
I have read this, but I do not know if it works on my phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437946
Could they have gained access to any password, including Google and Samsung accounts?
I have researched and found out that there are several options: USB debug mode, Warranty Void, FRP Lock, OEM Lock, KG State. Do they use one of these to gain access?
After taking back my phone from the shop I did a hard reset on that phone. After the reinstallation the phone did NOT ask me for a PIN/password or google account . So, was the FRP Lock OFF?
I think I had both the Google Account and the Samsung Account logged in on this phone. So was FRP=ON ? What about other options/states, e.g. the OEM Lock?
But I changed the password from within my PC (Browser), not from within this phone. Maybe the phone had an internet connection (so that an error was shown internal on my phone, due to the password change), maybe not. Could the FRP Lock have changed to FRP Lock=OFF (due to this password change?).
What about other options/states, e.g. the OEM Lock?
A bit offtopic, but related to my problem: The shop said that they tested my phone after repairing. Microphone etc. How could they have done that without my lockscreen code? What else apart from microphone could the have tested?
Hi again,
I know that this is a long post nd much to read. I need your help. I have researched and asked, but no definite answer.
Please help me out, guys.
Your help is appreciated!

Hi,
as far as I know you have to enable the Developer Options first, in order to enable the USB Debug mode, right? If it is like that, no. I even never got into the Developer menu I think - as far as I can remember. Because I didn't know about this option.
edit: And the standard option is (e.g. when bought a new phone or after a hard reset etc):
USB Debug mode disabled, correct?
