Hello,
My notifications seem to be coming down with the status bar, causing them to appear half way down my screen.
It's very annoying as it blocks half a video I am watching.
Any solution? Thanks
As you can use the notifications are coming down and not covering the status bar

should be something in the toast notifications that can disable that when fullscreen.

I don't see anything and I've looked through every notification setting . I'm not sure if it's something I've done myself when themeing the phone maybe ?
Is a reset the only solution?

i was digging thru the settings and didnt see it either. I do not believe that a reset would help either. Overlay permissions maybe?

Can't see anything that would effect the notifications. I've put the device in safe mode and received notifications and I'm still experiencing the issue.
Thanks for helping me, I've just turned off heads up notifications for the time being.
I used a theme with substratum to black out the notifications and shortly after it started to happen so I think it's probably related to that.
Uninstalled the theme since but not fixed it :|

I really like the blocking mode built into the os, but is there any way to remove the notification from the status bar when blocking mode is enabled?
Sendt fra Tapatalk
I have same query
I was wondering the same thing , its great but also a bit annoying being in the notification bar
Not that i know of, but it should stay there, you need to know it's on since it disables key functions.
I noticed that, while blocking mode was enabled, whatsapp sounds still go off in the middle of the night.

True, but we don't need to know it's enabled when it's not doing anything. If you set the between time it should disappear when it's not affecting anything.
Looking for a way to get Tasker of NFC Task list to enable and disable it.
Yeah... this notification is pretty annoying...
I hate it too... And just like everything else it shows how samsung can't make 100% good software.... Everything is always "almost good"... There is always something that spoils everything... That's why I can't stay with sammy rom for too long...

when you try to change the sound of notifications in whatsapp, and you select "Default ringtone" it doesn't use the notification ringtone, it uses your call ringtone, it's really annoying, but I think that's why, it's whatapp's fault
really hate this "feature" to notify me about blocking mode not being enabled...
annoying
yeah I agree this thing is completely annoying, it should be in the status bar when on, not when off! Image having a notification all the time that says your alarm is scheduled to go off in 8 hours.

that's the beauty of technology.. nothing is "perfect" otherwise, if everything is perfect on sammy then we wouldn't be in XDA now, would we?
I managed to hack away this notification!
The process is relatively lengthy, and does require a rooted, deodexed ROM... But it works!
The notification will be COMPLETELY removed - it will not show up even when blocking mode IS actually active (i.e. during the active hours).
Anyway, in case you're interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32872016#post32872016

isn't it easier to access the resources folder, look for the block mode icon and delete it?

I'm not sure if that'd work. It might remove the icon from the notification bar (the thin one on top), but likely not the ongoing notification when you drag it down fullscreen.
I'll try tomorrow and post it, but I think I remember seeing all that icons (the quick settings icons too) in system framework...
JFYI, I've put a couple of CWM zips together, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943987
By the way, couldnt find the icons on framework.apk
if you pull down your notification bar and press and hold blocking mode notification you will see app info, click on that and you should see a box about notifications and if you uncheck that the icon and notification will go away.

You can't uncheck this one, it's checked and greyed out (in other words permanent).
I'm currently have trouble adjusting to this new ROM. I think its one of the best I have tried but I have a problem, the notification bar goes through notifications way to fast (as in showing new text, or email headline) and it really gives me a headache and annoys me.
Is there anyway to change the speed of the notification bar back to stock?
Thanks

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "notification speed".
If you mean the amount of notifications, the only way to decrease them is by disabling notifications in each individual app. It has nothing to do with Hyperdrive.

Sorry I should of explained better, In the stock Touchwiz if you notice when you get a text it shows what the message says at the notification bar without pulling it down, then it shows the icon in the top. The speed of which it shows the message is much faster than stock. Hope you understand..

AH, I see what you mean now. I'm running Hyperdrive as well, but I honestly never noticed it. I doubt there is a way to change it, but I would post in the Hyperdrive thread. There are many knowledgeable S4 users in that thread.
Also, it's possible Sbreen94 wasn't aware of the notification speed and he can fix it in future versions.
ok

Yea I did not think I could do much about it.. Thanks for the help.. sadly I cant post over there until I post 10 posts lol
I would just like to know of there is a way to have the screen stay off when I get a notification , I've mainly seen this happen for text messages. I'm not a big fan of having the screen wake every time there's notification. I've Googled and checked through these forums and was unable to find anything about that.
Looking through the settings I don't see anything that sticks out to me that allows you to change that.
If anyone could help that would be great thanks

No not like that, I noticed that only the stock LG messenger app wakes the screen when you get a text, other messengers have settings to change that
If yes, how? Exactly what should be set?
I tried everything, in the developer settings the bubble usage is set, at the app also set.
Any idea?
Same problem
I enabled it but till now I don't know how it should be used. Seems that there will be some next update to fix this issue maybe and also the issue that the AOD is still the same as EMUI9.1
I enabled it in Developer Settings, the last option down. im on emui 10
Ok. The question is : does it works?
Do you receive bubble notifications?
Of course I enabled the bubbles in the developer settings, but I receive NO bubble notifications.

The only thing I did was enable enable Banners and Sprechblasse (speech bubble). you can go there by setting-Apps-Gmail-Notifications. And Bubbles ind Developer Options of course must be enabled. Thats all i did
Or you can go to Gmail Settings and choose your email and then manageNotifications
Dav,
thank you. I tried everything (I think) but simple do not have the bubbles...
I receive the banner, but not the bubbles notification.
I keep testing...

I hope that there will be an Update, which fixes the problem that appear on your phone soon.
I tried to activate bubbles but no lucks...
Hello Dav,
just be be sure, are you speaking about bubbles like Messenger produces?
Not heads up notifications (a rectangle at the top of the screen)?
Could you send a screenshot?
Thanks a lot

It's working, but only partial: Messages notifications working, but GMail's not...
Problem, no notification icons are displayed on the AOD although everything is activated in the AoD settings. Otherwise the notification with sound and vibration will be displayed on the lock screen. Anyone an idea?

for CN rom, only oppo approved apps get to appear on AOD.. this translates to mainly oppo's own apps and a few popular china govt approved apps like qq and wechat.. its likely hard coded into the AOD..

Oh, that makes sense, because I am using Oppo Messages, and Google Phone and Gmail.
Yes, Oppo Apps, Phone and SMS are present in AoD .
OK, i can survive with this option.
Thanks for information!
With the App "Allways on Amoled" from PlayStore you geht all App Notifications.
The app eats the battery, better not install it
