I have spent days messing around with every one of them. And basically, they have all been crappy in some way or another. And all I do is install a single piano app and try to use USB Midi controller with it. I either cannot get Wifi working, or cannot get the OS installed properly. Remix OS is the epitome of a true Android operating system. At least thats where it was headed. Its easy to access Windows files. Easy to install APK files. And my USB controller was detected without problems. BUT, the wifi app could not detect anything at all. And a crazy box kept popping up during my piano app that gave the choice to wait or close the app due to not responding. Even though it was working fine. Buggy I know. But still better than the rest. I wish someone would take a crack at continuing that project.

Has anyone found a way to get Sirius/XM working on an Android Tablet? I have an Archos 70 and I downloaded the Sirius/XM app from their website and it does not work on the tablet. It just signs in forever until you cancel it or the device goes to sleep. I tried the app from the Canadian site too because I read it was a differnt version but it does the same thing.
Not sure why it would work on a droid phone but not a droid tablet running the same OS but I was hoping someone figured out an alternate way to do this or a fixed app for the tablet. This is about the only thing I haven't been able to do with this tablet. Any info is appreciated.
Same issue
I have been wondering the same thing..the app looks great, I don't see why it won't work, no error or anything just never comes up and takes you back to the login screen. The only thing I could come up with is the screen size, during the login its also supposed to be downloading the channel art, etc, maybe its an incompatibility with the screen layout but it seems like it would be a good place for an error message of some kind.
I hate to say it, but I believe this is a measure that Sirius implemented to make sure that this app is only being used by "authorized" devices. The "checking for updates" screen that I and everyone else seems to be getting stuck on is likely their way of making this app a "protected app."
I just hope that there are enough fans of both Sirius and the Android tablets that someone will make a hack or a work-around to get this app working. It works great on my Incredible, but I would LOVE to have it working on my A70.
Just installed the Sirius XM app on my Vizio Tablet with the same results.
What is crazy is that : siriusxm.com / player loads fine with Flash.
But there's no way for me to enter my login and password into the Flash text boxes. They don't seems to be recognized by Android OS as text entry areas.
I'm running 10.3 of the Adobe Flash plugin on my Vizio Tablet.
I realize this is an old thread but I figured a way to make it work. I simply installled the app on my rooted phone. Then I copied the com.siriusxm.apk to a sd card. Put the sd card in my tablet and copied it to the local folder. Tapped on it to install it and shazam.
Screencap of it working?

Okay, so first I have to have a rooted phone? I have a G1 I am not using, could I use that?
Where do I find the com.siriusxm.apk? I have Linda Manager on the G1, do I find it in the application's folder?
Just tap to install the mentioned file and it should install? Then fire up the Sirius/XM app, log-in and it will work?
Thanks, I'm in the market for a Archos 43 now that the price has dropped. This "trick" might work on the Samsung Galaxy Players that just came out as well.
Im wondering if you put the opened version you took off your rooted phone here would we be able to use it?
would be a great help. My problem is that my account is in the states but im living in canada.
Have you tried the newer SIRIUSXM 2.0 app. They use it with their new LYNX radio which is android based.
no I haven't. They won't even let me download it here in Canada even tho my account is based in the states.

FINALLY !!!!!!
I finally have a working copy of this app on my Xoom. It is in the play store under SiriusXM Internet Radio. It says May 3rd, 2012, version 2.0.0.62. I upgraded from an older non working version today just for the hell of it and to my surprise it logged in and I was listening for a good hour or 2 without interruption. My Xoom will definitely get more use now.
Hi everyone,
I have a stock rooted Nook Color (1.2) and I've been struggling trying to get ScummVm working. I downloaded the latest nightly from ScummVm's website, but every time I try to get it installed, it just says "Application Not Installed". I tried a couple of other versions of ScummVm mods, but none of them seem to work.
Am I doing something wrong? Does it not work with stock? Did anyone get ScummVm working? If so, how? I've been hitting my head against the wall for days.
Have you tried this one? http://anddev.at.ua/load/scummvm_svn55436/1-1-0-7
I don't know if it's relevant to your problem, but I've been using these builds for months with no problem.
I have to admit I've never gotten ScummVM completely working, but from what I recall, you need the Scumm android app, an individual plugin for the game you want to play, and then finally some files from the original game. The first two things are available on the market, but the last one (the game files) are harder to come by -- officially you would get them from an original disc of the game.
Let us know if you have any luck!
I have the game files, I'm a bit of an adventure game addict, and I thought the Nook would be the perfect size to play my beloved games on.
@Arbelzapf, Thanks, I'll have to install those and try it. The daily build I loaded from scummvm website doesn't quite like the nook, since I kept getting install errors.
@ponyboy82, I haven't gotten the market versions to install either, then again, they won't work on my phone, and I think they are a little outdated compared to the ones on their website.
Going to be doing some experimenting to see what I can do to get my Sam & Max fix.
Ok so I decided to install this Remix OS and try it out. Its ok. I can play some games at work on a laptop that I turned into an android device. It has worked for 3 days now with the game FF Mobius. But today when I boot and try to launch the device (which hasnt had a recent update) it comes up with the error "This Device is not supported". So..... What happened? It worked for 3 days and then today it fails because it isnt supported? I tried reinstalling just to see if something happened to it but it cant get back into the game to finish the download because i get the same error message. I was thinking of installing this OS on multiple computers but if this is going to be a normal issue, i guess I wont. Anyone have any insight as to why this might have happened?
Incidentally, the device is an old Lenovo X220 tablet PC with touch screen. Like i said, it was working flawlessly until this morning. Not sure what happened while the machine was turned off over night.
Anyway, any help is appreciated.
@FumundaSaq I think this is a question for the creator of the game. He simply blocked Remix OS or your specific device. Why? No idea, I'm sure he had a reason.
To make things clear - nothing happened on your machine's side - it's the app only.

Hmm. Well the creator is Square Enix so who knows. Alright thanks. If anyone else has any ideas feel free...
@FumundaSaq it doesn't matter who is the creator.
What matters is that he dictates the game requirements. It seems like this game checks your device through a database and rejects it by blocking game further function.
Like you said, it worked before, you didn't do anything and now it doesn't work - so the app creator had to modify the online part handling the app or there was an update for the game in play store that brought trouble. Second scenario is OK because all you'd need to do is go back to the previous release, but if it's the 1st then it's worse.
Of course you could change your device info fiddling in some system files and that would work but I don't recommend it. Only thing you can do now is contact the game dev about this.

So you think the game creator blocked the OS or the device? Im guessing the OS since I tried it on an ASUS X200m touchscreen netbook and got the same error. So ok I guess I uninstall it then. Thanks!

If you haven't added anything stupid like a RAM editor - for game hacking then it's likely just a root checker. Should be able to verify that shortly

latest versions of remix os have a strange build.prop
it gives wrong screen size, wrong dpi and add as device id a acer tablet...
i am sure the problem is here. i dont know why remix have a so strange build.prop but to me,if the game is not compatible with the acer device remix use as id,the play store judge it as not compatible your device as well.

Ok so I guess you can delete this thread. Today it works.... I have no idea. I just thought I'd try it out and apparently it works now. Thanks for the input and suggestions all! This OS is still finicky. Anyway, thanks again.
I have Remix working perfectly on another computer, so I'm not totally inexperienced with it but I just can't figure this one out.
I have installed the latest Remix on a 32gb USB 3.0 for my daughter. It boots fine, but it is stuck in portrait mode, and the touchscreen doesn't work. So essentially to use it the screen must be plugged into the keyboard base, but when it is, the picture is all sideways.
It's an unbranded windows 10 2-in-1, model CES102. I know people are going to have less idea with an unbranded product, but hoping someone has similar issues and has managed to fix it.
Also, I'm trying to figure out how to expand storage space to take up the whole stick. All the instructions I find, including the ones I used for my computer, seem to be for expanding storage on an HDD partition and not USB.
I just downlaoded the nextbook version in case that will work better, my understanding is this 2-in-1 is extremely similar to one of the nextbooks, so thought I would give it a shot. But it looks to be quite a different install process to the standard "for PC" one. Does anyone know either the answers to my original questions, or how I can install this version to USB and give it a go?
Bump
boot it up, open play store, type in rotate, grab a rotation app to control rotation. The one i use allows me to lock rotation which is nice for games that think they are going to take over rotation. As for the Size of your data, Plug in your usb drive while in windows, grab Rmxtools 1.8 or 1.8fix, open Rmxtools and resize your data.img to whatever youd like
Great thank you, will give this a go in the morning. I think downloading that app will be difficult when everything is sideways to the touchpad lol, but if it might fix it I will absolutely do it. Will report back.

Rotation Control by Crapemyrtle is what I use.
I've had my tf201 sitting away barely touched for the last couple years, and I decided that I wanted to figure out something that I can do with it.
I decided to make it a glorified wall clock that uses widgets to provide time, weather, headlines, and whatever else I can find that looks good.
I unlocked the bootloader, installed Katkiss 5.1.1 v30 ROM, installed Aptoide (since Play Store doesn't seem to want to work) and got it in a frame that looks all pretty and have it currently hanging it on my wall.
The widgets that I'm using are okay, but I'm sure there are better ones out there that I could be using, but now that the tablet is framed and hanging on the wall, it's a pain to manually change everything, so I was curious if there is an easy way to remote into it to make changes to widgets.
I found AirDroid, but it crashes on open on the transformer, and one I found called ODroid VNC, but I couldn't get the server to start either.
Has anyone been able to find a VNC server, or other remote desktop solution that works on this setup?
Any help would be appreciated.
Update:
I tried TeamViewer, but I wasn't able to get remote working.
I finally got remote working using Alpha VNC, but it's really unstable and the system locked up.
I'm starting to think that it may just be too resource intensive.
Still curious if anyone else may have any suggestions.
