Hello fellow Mate 20 pro users!
I keep getting this message, "App updates are ready, connect to wifi to continue". Then when you connect to wifi it just says "Preparing for setup, you can finish setting up your LYA-L09 soon" and....
Nothing, it just hangs, does nothing for ages. It has a greyed out "Start" button, which does nothing. I left it on for hours and nothing happens.
Does anyone else have a similar issue? Do you know how to get the update done or get rid of it altogether?
Thank you in advance!

Usually I'm pretty good at figuring things out on my own but this one is killing me...
I rooted my ASUS Zenfone 2 using SuperSU246 then after tinkering for awhile I began getting a constant pop up saying "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." I tried a ton of methods I had seen online to resolve this problem but nothing worked so I chose my only available option, I restored my phone to factory settings but that was my mistake I believe. I read something online you shouldn't do a reset after you root your phone. But this message would keep popping up no matter how many times I dismissed it...
So after I did the reset the message popped up again and again after I dismissed it again and again so I tried to bear with it by hitting "OK" then quickly moving to the next step of the initial setup process BUT after the "Checking Info" segment it would always say "Couldn't Sign In..." followed by a short message prompting me to call customer service if the problem continues, and I couldn not move past this screen or go back.
Tried going into recovery and wiping the cache partition then doing another factory reset but I keep getting the same problem. Going on a week without my phone now... can anyone help me out? Has this happened to anyone else?

Click to collapse
I would reinstall the original firmware and start over.

I have Xperia TX which makes me in troule today . It is showing error message "Unfortunately, Keypad has Stopped " which is desplayed on the screen as a alert. It let me click "OK" to ignore the message but it get ignore for 0.5 seconds. Now i just want to stop this error message. For that i have tried touch up with keypad app on setting but nothing happens. Only thing is that i am not getting much time to do a click. I have seeen some where about this problem which was solved by clicking "clear Cache" but i do not get much time to do so... But i can uninstall or stop software.. So i just want to know what is the name of app which is making this alert frequently, so i could stop it.
Please guys I am at a great trouble help....
I started receiving this today. When I click "OK" the message bounces back up almost immediately, like a spam.
If I wait for 10-15 minutes and then press "OK" button, then I have maybe 5 seconds time window until message appears again.
Same happens when I click "Try to solve".
Earlier today I had a notification something like "Youtube app might harm your phone".
I tried restarting and plugging out battery, didn't help.
I didn't really bother with that since I own Lenovo k3 note with factory settings and I had adware for a long time. So I thought that was just a missinformation.
P.S. I'm not sure what exactly version of Android is currently installed on my phone and now I can't really check either...
Lenovo phone, says it all. Unfortunately Youtube is a system file on Lenovo so when it hangs you cannot access anything else.
Remove the battery and leave alone for roughly 5 minutes, this lets any caps to discharge so the phone has to restart from boot.
try starting the phone again, if this doesn't work, try doing a factory reset.
Heya all,
I have this Vernee Mars on Android 7, factory setup, unmodified, not rooted. Kernel 3.18.35.
I've got a problem with the Phone App - where you can dial a phone number or see the latest calls log.
Every time I go in it, it stays open for about a second or so and is reactive - as in, I can select a tab to see recent calls etc. But then crashes, with the simple message "Phone has stopped. Open app again". If I click on the 're-do' button to re-open the app, it states "Phone keeps stopping. Close app"
And so that keeps happening all the time.
I checked in the list of system apps and it shows the Phone app being version 3.00.00, using 600KB of internal storage with all Permissions enabled.
Since I bought the phone online from China, I am not expecting any support whatsoever, my only hope is for a wee bit of advise here, please?
Thanks in advance

Bought it new a couple of days ago. Its all running fine.
There just one thing in notifications that I can't complete... "Android setup" Basically it does a few things then gets to "adding the finishing touches" then gets stuck in this loop of restarting this part for about 2 mins until it stops amd dissapears until it pops up in notifications again.
I have tried clearing the cache and data of "android setup". Forced stop and restarted phone immediately after but doesn't help.
I realise it is not a major issue amd I could probably disable the notification for this but I would like to see it complete. Any ideas?
I imagine it may be tied to some other processes or something that may also need attention.
The phones firmware is fully up to date btw.
PS have just realised i am not allowed to post my link unfortunately. Maybe can message me for it.
