Not on this device they aren't. Take a look back at all the threads titled "How can I downgrade from Pie to Oreo" and consider why those exist.:good:

If you are rooted, you may want to try Better Battery Stats app to see if you have wakelocks that are causing battery drain.

1) I'm still on rooted stock Oreo as the latter releases are more stable than LG's Pie firmware, at least on US998. Even on EU H930, Pie was so bad LG cancelled the first Release Candidate (EU 30a), LG then deleted their 2nd attempt (EU 30b) from their severs a few days after public release, and only the 3rd release doesn't have major complaints.
2) Why are you wanting to use beta Q, when Android 10 has been released for MONTHS?
Letter is ALWAYS THE BETA.
______
P.S. Stop calling Android 10 "Q". Its no longer beta.
"L", "M", "N", "O", "P", "Q" were the beta letters before release and Google officially named them. I could go all the way back to beta "C" which became "Cupcake" -- but you get the point.
L became Lollipop (Android 5, 2014)
M became Marshmallow (Android 6, 2015)
N became Nougat (Android 7, 2016)
O became Oreo (Android 8, 2017)
P became Pie (Android 9, 2018)
Q simply became Android 10, 2019
Deal with it. Google decided not to use sweet snack/dessert name anymore, so they only went with the version number instead. There was always a version number behind the dessert name.
No one calls "Oreo" and "Pie" as "O" or "P", since they are not beta anymore. No one asks "Do we have a new 'P' KDZ yet?" nor "Which is better 'O' or 'P''? Everyone calls them "OREO" and "PIE". Well, "Q" isn't beta anymore either... It's "Android 10".
Here's the Oreo official statue at Google Headquarters:

I have "How to Downgrade from Pie to Oreo" instructions in every KDZ thread because of LG's fiasco Pie releases. Took them three times to get a somewhat decent EU H930 KDZ. I cannot recommend US998 Pie to anyone, and I am still on rooted stock Oreo. LG still has not released Open Market US998 Pie -- the one we are using (not me!) is technically for U.S. Cellular and is very wonky. Sprint still won't certify the LS998 Pie LG tried to foist on them -- sad that U.S. Top 4 carrier V30 variant still doesn't have Pie.
I would NOT want Android 10 for the LG V30, even if LG did try to release it. Get Pie straightened out first.

I own an LG V30 H930 EU stock rom,and when i bought it as used from a friend,it was already updated to Pie v30b.
Always the screen on time was between 7 and 9 hours for every charge, depending on the use each time of course.
The charging periods were every 30 to 40 hours minimum, until the last update v31a.
After this update my screen times had been reduced to maximum 5 hours, and one more strange thing was happening..after every full charge,my battery drained from 100% to 94% in about half hour without even i touch my phone.
So i decided to factory reset but without result, always had that battery drain and the same low screen on times, and of course i had to charge it every day.
One day i decided to try the rom flashing and i downgraded to the latest Oreo v22j.
The results were amazing, the battery drain from 100% to 94% dissappeared, and much more important?i have the same great screen on times of more than 7 hours between charges..and of course i charge it every 2 days now.
I think that says a lot for the Pie "upgrade", to me at least.
Maybe you can try flashing Oreo again and if you dont like it return to Pie and compare..it is a very easy procedure if you follow the exact instructions that are given from ChazzMatt.

I'm on pie 30b & I can get easily get 7-8 hour sot. Sometime 9 hour. But sot is too subjective. It does not totally reflect the battery usage.

Oreo is here!!! H870

Jusy casually checking my phone and BOOM! Can't wait to finish downloading ?
You are about a week late to the party....
Yet my H870 hasn't got it yet...
H870 for South America has not received the update yet.
Took an age but just downloaded Oreo. Will update after a few days of use!
Wife's H870 updated yesterday evening. I updated mine manually a few hours before using LG Bridge (I was on Fulmics 4.2, so it didn't want to OTA itself).

After almost a month's worth of use, I'm not noticing any difference in performance. Admittedly I'm still running the ROM with as many different things disabled/restricted due to the battery drain issue I had running Nougat. I'll have to see about performing a factory reset and see how well it performs.
Will keep you posted
I have got a v20b upgrade. It fix issues only. They could give US Oreo 8.1.0 with June patch.
Really v20b update with 8.1.0 oreon version. Some screen can you share.?

Interesting, it seems that you might be the very first one to get it, there is almost no mentions about v20b for H870, only "a" version...

X.1 bump sometimes is more difficult than we might think. It's mostly new base, new API level, etc... I just hope they fixed most bugs, it's a pity you didn't take any screenshot of a changelog... ;/
Or did you?

I called Huawei today to see when Android 9 is going to hit some more regions. They said it might take 3 months because my phone is from Singapore.(sounded like he didn't know). That can't be right.

In the scheme of smartphone updates, if you gotta have the "latest and greatest" OS on your phone (not counting security patches),
you'll have to get either:
Apple iPhone, Google Pixel, Oppo OnePlus, Essential, or a couple other phones.
Most Android phone manufacturers, don't bother with updates, for a few reasons. One, they don't want to spend the resources
to make sure the new OS works with their goofy UI/bloat garbage, and older hardware. Two, it's been easier to talk people into just tossing them in the trash and buying a new one.
My phone (huawei mate9),works PERFECTLY on Oreo, has been getting the monthly security patches about 30 days late.
Would I like to have Pie? Yes. Will my life be impacted if it doesn't happen? NO.
IF, (and it's a big if), Google's Treble works out, phones SHIPPED/Released with Oreo or later, will have "major" updates and patches done by google, and the UI/bloat done by the carrier or manufacturer.
It would be nice to have gestures without a 3rd party launcher... also additional battery savings. I know the phone is already phenomenal on the battery , but we could all use more juice. Screen rotation is also going to be more to my liking with Pie.
I will post when I see the update.

Imo nightly battery drain is horrendous. Phone idle, Mobile standby and Huawei home uses too much during the night.

What do you expect, its LG, the G6 is dead/forgotten.
Well, a new update is a new update. But i don't think we will see any major change in the near future.
This device is almost dead at this point...
6 month no update...I thought they left us. 6 month again for Pie I guess, if we're lucky.
It's still in the Android Enterprise Program, so there should be two major updates guaranteed.
On the other hand it also says there should be security patches every 90 days at least so there's that...

Actually I have no complaints except the security patches. Because Oreo is still good and not that old compared to pie also with this latest update I notice that battery usage a bit better compared to old rom. I think we are gonna get the pie but it is gonna take time . No worries there is no big difference between Oreo and pie.

Yeah, I guess you are right. Also with the Pixel experience theme and the G7 Launcher (swipe up for app drawer), I feel like using Pie anyway.
Would like to try the native gesture navigation though.

Ohh. another thread for OTA. lol

any regret?

Is there any regret after updating from oreo to pie for you? like call recording? battery usage? app problems?
thank you.
hmm, are you rooted.. adventourous.. backed up your TA partition, still on Oreo.. there a point to this.. call recording don't need it.. problems with apps not with the ones I use, all though I've deleted 98% of the apps I don't use ( reason for the rooted question) I have 2 Sony apps.. camera and the album apps.. the rest are Google apps, the ones that I like.. Battery life for me is fine as I don't game on my phone as I have a large computer for that, so I make it through the day just fine with all the YouTube I like... sot 6 to 7 hrs easy.. any issues, for me none an I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have to wait for pie to be released and it has been fine..
I think the worse part for the XZ1 is the lack of interest.. especially with pie.. no kernels persay or roms.. But you asked a subjective question and folks will give you different answers as per their experience, in the end you won't know till you try it an see, if you don't like it there are methods to go back to a version that you do..

thank you for your precious opinion!
the reason i asked this question, is that i probably will not unlock bootloader, get rooted( i am too old for these complicated processes). so, to me there will probably no coming back to oreo (downgrade).

I think it won't be easy, read them carefully!:good:

No. V20 launched with Nougat just like V30. You get two letter upgrades. They both got Oreo and Pie.

We'll get more security patches due to the Enterprise Recommended agreement with Google.
3 years, at least every 90 days. But ticking clock didn't go into effect until Oreo upgrade which was 2nd quarter - 3rd quarter 2018.
So, theoretically updates through mid-2021.
