Hello everybody!
Last night I say the new SlimRom post and decided to try it, I have to say that I didn't know if my bootloader was unlocked or locked, so I tried to install Phils Touch Recovery that was suggested. It didn't work, after that tried the CMW for locked bootloaders, it didn't work either. Just got the "security error" message when trying to enter recovery mode. After that I say the Unlocked Bootloader post and decided to give it a try, everything was fine until the phone restarted, after that it didn't boot, it would stay with a black screen vibrating. I decided to use the LG flash tool 2014 that a user named yunior suggested to use (saw this at the Unlocked Bootloader post) and it runned fined, but after that, the phone wont even vibrate neither get the black screen. When I read phone information from LG FT2014 I get this
IMEI Empty.
IMEI Auth fail....Please check IMEI value
Phone Mode :Normal

please check IMEI or S/W file status in CSMG
I would really appreciate your help! Really need my phone back:fingers-crossed:
Thank you!
SO, i followed a guide the other day to get lollipop on my wind huawei mate 2.
but now i want to switch back to the original android that came with the phone because i want to unlock the phone, and the lollipop one on the guide i followed doesnt show the unlock code entry screen when i put in a different sim card.
the issue i am having?
when i flash the stock recovery file that i found on here, that boots fine, then when i try to install B128 wind firmware, it says a bunch of error codes along the size of
oemsbl write failed something or other then it also said update_vendor.app install failed - invalid package
i'm hoping someone can help me because my phone will not go past the huawei logo at this point.
i do have access to fastboot mode though thank god.

With NO stock backup i doubt it.
Hi Everyone,
Well I have an OBI SJ-1-5 SmartPhone which is not working now as I was trying to Flash a Stock ROM via SP Flash Tool.
I was trying to unlock the bootloader via "fastboot oem unlock" command in fastboot mode. The result was "ok". This device also has "allow bootloader to be unlocked" feature in developer options which was set to "on" while I was doing it. During the process of unlocking it shows some warning message that whole device would be reset, I agree and continue. After which it got stuck and I've to use "fastboot reboot" command, which result in continuous boot loop. Then i was not able to go into recovery or do anything.
I then do some google fu and found Stock ROM which aren't compatible to the device as it was showing the error "PMT has changed for the ROM". Which i sort out somehow. In the mean time I forget to unchecked the "Preloader" option, and unfortunately the new Stock ROM* has incompatible preloader with my Device. Resulting in a Complete Brick of my SmartPhone giving me "BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (0xFC0)" error both while doing "Format whole Flash" and "Format whole flash except Bootloader", even "Download" option gives me the same error.
Fortunately I have another pair of same Model so I thought to Dump the Stock ROM including the preloader files and Update my brick cellphone with it. I know the procedure of "Readback", so to grab the "scatter" file I used "MTKdroidTools" which again unfortunately unable to create the "root shell" for my device neither I was able to save the scatter file(the save button was disabled) because my device is MediaTek 6580 which is unsupported to use with "MTKdroidTools". My other cellphone is not Rooted and Rooting is the whole reason I now have a Brick Cellphone so I am not gonna take risk again doing something with that new device .
Which leave me the last option of Using a Hardware Device like "Magic Box" or "Volcano Box" to DUMP firmware. And that I don't have and neither I can somehow get my hands onto it.
But I "think" I can get my cellphone back to life if I would find a ROM of a device with Similar board id and Flash its ROM using (Format+Download). After that it would allow me to use "Auto Format except Bootloader". After which I could flash the ROM that was giving me (0xFC0) error (without ticking the preloader).
Details of SJ1-5
Chipset: MediaTek 6580
Root : No
Build Number : Obi_SJ1-5_B1B8_Ver3.6
Kernal Version : 3.10.72
Android Version : 5.1
Android Security Patch Level : 2016-01-01
*The ROM I tried : Obi_SJ1.5_MT6580_5.1_v1.7.1_151014_144940
I hope someone can provide me the DUMPed Stock ROM from a working Device. I would really appreciate that. And please let me know if there is any other Method that I missed. Sorry for my bad English.
Thank you all in Advance.
Same problem here. As always with mtk phones it is problematic and very risky to find working/compatable scatter and rom. Same story, flashed wrong preloader and now the phone in boot loop. Thinking to connect directly to a serial but i need a correct rom for a start. If anyone has a dumb of this phone please contact me at [email protected]
hi all,
I have Samsung SM-G935W8 (in Canada), bought used from someone. recently, try to play with android, and realized the phone PDA was G935UUEU4BRD1, and model was SM-G935U which is different from the model that showing on back cover. think the guy flashed a different rom for this phone.
couple days ago, I did hard factory reset for no reason, and get google account locked. then search online and learning how to fix it. seems like need to flash combination rom --> use tool bypass frp --> flash official rom to solve this issues.
i downloaded many combination firmware and all failed on odin flash. until i use one that allowed me to flash and success to open the phone as Factory Binary. But, I noticed the phone model changed to SM-G935A, which is AT&T firmware. the android version is 6.0.1, when I try to run program to do FRP bypass, no luck, think that because I can't turn on OEM- Unlock option(can't find it on developer option tough)? or bootloader locked?
now, I can only flash official rom that from AT&T, and android 8 that I can find it. if the phone can be fixed FRP issues, model change to G935A is fine, I dont care that model, I dont use the phone for call, only for wifi and camera. and maybe later can play flash to other model of ROM. not sure if possible.
current, the working combination rom I flashed is PDA : G935UUCUBATA1
ADB FRP to bypass FRP (not working)
and flashed to AT&T rom PDA: G935AUCUBCTB1_G935AATTBCTB1_8.0.0
FRP still not bypassed, and stuck on google account validation screen. any advice how and what tools can bypass FRP for this phone now model is SM-G935A? thanks in advance!
Not too long ago i installed a custom rom on my phone( Oneplus nord n10 5g ) and i guess i messed something up cus after a while it would go into Qualcomm crash dump mode. So i went to get help some people told me to use MSM, I installed it, put my phone into EDL mode, ECT, but once i went to click begin with my phone correctly in EDL mode i got the following status msg forever on MSM, "hub-image identify by target sw is disabled". so i thought i got the wrong MSM for the wrong model so i went to get the right one from the official site but there wasn't one for my "BE2026" model so im stumped.
