Hi,
I wish I had the knowledge to create such an application, but I don't so I'll try to explain this idea as clearly as I can see if someone finds it interesting enough.
As you know some phones already have the built-in feature to turn OFF the screen when a call is established. This prevents accidental actions with your cheek and ear on the touchscreen.
Some phones have fancy sensors like light sensor and proximity sensor.
But many other phones don't have, so this tiny app would be very useful to all of them:
How should it work?
Very simple:
1. Detect when a call is established
2. Call the "Turn OFF screen" command (same as pressing the power button)
That's it.
This would be exactly like pressing the power button after call is connected, so there wouldn't be incompatibilities with other apps. Plus the phone behavior when call is finished would be the same as always, since it only called the same command as power button.
This tiny app then could be cooked inside many ROM's.
Well, it's very easy explained like this, but as I said, I don't have the knowledge to do it myself
If you feel like programming the app I will gladly be your tester (or should I say guinea pig? )

Having the problem with accidental touching the buttons and so fort pausing or hanging up a established Call.

Add the functionality of turning the screen back on after the call is dis-connected and I'm sold
A software like this would be manufacturer dependant. For HTC devices, check out Touch InCall Screen Tweak. This app works on all HTC devices, and is a great app.
You can also use DiamondTweak or Advanced Config and setup the device to suspend quickly when in call (but these apps might only work on Diamond).

Thank you!
Although I have an Elf, and it's got no G-sensor and no light sensor, so it won't work on my device
But it's pretty close to what I'm looking for! Thanks!
Is there really no way to disable the "Green" "Home" "Left arrow" and "Red" button when I'm in a call.
Ive tried to disable the buttons with AEB-plus, but it still doesn't work while Im in a Call.
Is it just me that have the problem with time and time Pausing or Hanging up established calls, "thanks" to the "Hardware" buttons.
PS
Using Touch HD
Hi, i was delaying this topic but i can't help it, i need your expertise.
When i answer calls and get the phone close to the ear the phone constantly vibrates, like in 10 and 10 seconds. Even if i have an unread message or not ... How can i disable this thing ? My girlfriend hears the sound of the vibration from the other side of the call .. and annoys me too ...
xLoud feature never works ... or at least i think it doesn't, because when i select it at definitions -> sound and return to the sound menu it will be disabled again ...
When i'm on a call, i hear some interference like the sound of a television getting radio interference from a cell phone but in a microscopic way .. Not that this annoys me that much, but you know i like my stuff to be 100% pimped and fully working.
Thanks.

i think it should be setted in setting open settings<cyanogenmod setting<sound<and there you found the setting that vibrate during calls so u disable that then u can be away from ur problem
or other wise open settings<call settings < there u can find the setting that to vibrate for every 45 sec option so disable that uthen you can be away from ur problem
and u can enjoy talking with ur gf
Sorry for the long time to respond, thanks that helped. What about the other problems ?
I'hav got another problem now, sometimes after charging, i turn on the phone and it freezes in sony ericsson logo, i have to remove the battery and turn it on again ....
So, someone have this types of bugs ?
thank you
Used pauls awesome rom v21 for a long time, didnt experience this problem though
How screens actually has a screen proximity sensor, when we move phone close to our ear during phonecall, it detects it and turns off the screen. When you pull it away the screen comes back on. This is for battery saving.
In your case if it vibrates every 10 seconds during a call i think it is uncommon, maybe u can try setting vibration off for notification sounds and see how that works? Like reddy suggested?
Could be a bad installation. But just a suggestion, i recently unlocked bootloader, installed nAa kernel and install pauls cyanogenmod 9 v2 rom and it works ultra smooth, i recommend you try it out. The nAa kernel should give u general improvements in the phone also
Hi,
Have you this requirements:
- Only 2.1.1.A.0.6 SE firmware
- Baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
If you have, try to make a full factory reset and wipe cache and see how it work's, if you have the same problems you should conciderer make a new reinstalation.
I used to use s.e. W810, recently switched to xperia mini. Everything is pretty nice but the vibration level. It's barely sensible. When I have my phone in my jean pocket switched to silent mode, I feel nothing and when I check it to see whether there is any notification, usually I got ,say, 3 messages and 2 missing call
So, it's obvious that I don't feel the vibration. Searched a little about it, but neither could find anyone suffers from that problem like I do nor a solution to increase vibration level. However thought that maybe by reaching the phone's system files that can be feasible. So, is it possible to do that, if so, how ?
Thanks in advance.
I've not had a problem with it, but there are also apps to allow you to make your own vibration patterns. So maybe something with a bit more stop/start would help?

Thanks for your suggestion but the problem is not the pattern but the level of the vibration definitely. I compared it with other phones and it's really not that high like old phones.
Go sms pro can help you define how many miliseconds the vibration for a notification for a new text should last. haven't used any app which can do the same for incoming calls, but it should exist somewhere in the market!
Actually what I'm looking for is to be able to increase the power of the motor inside the phone which creates those vibrations. This is adjustable for sure, cause for instance as typing it vibrates very slowly. So, by playing with codes they can be achieved, at least as theoretically
Hi @all,
since I bought some smart tags and playing around with them I found out that they only can be used if the screen is unlocked.
That is pretty sad.
For me the smart tag function is in this case useless.
When I go to bed or wake up I just want to hold my Xperia P on a smart tag to set it up right.
When I have to turn the screen on and draw my unlock pattern to hold it on a smart tag, then I can also make some moves to set up everything manually.
In my opinion the most useful option would be if the NFC function would be enabled on "screen on" without unlocking.
So to push the power button - screen turns on - and hold my phone to a smart tag.
Could someone make a modification for this??
Greetings
UserX10
In aokp you have an option to select when nfc is activated, and one of options is activation with locked screen and display turned off. So everything what we need is to find what file is enabling it.

Experimental Module
This Xposed Module will prevent Phone Screen to sleep(lock) during phone call.
Proximity sensor will work as it is i.e. Display will go off when proximity sensor is covered but screen won't sleep
Especially useful when loudspeaker is on and "Power key ends call" Accessibility feature is turned on.
display wont go off thus accidental call termination can be avoided.
Note: First Xposed Module
to test this module set sleep time(in phone Settings -> Display) to 15 seconds or so and place a call, if screen doesn't sleep after defined seconds it worked
Download at Xposed Module Repository. repo.xposed.info / module / pkg.x7491.xposed.callscreenfix
Tested on various devices. if it does/doesn't work for you post your ROM and Device Details

Very useful module.
Added to my list thanks!
works well on samsung device people is going to underestimate this module which i hope not
Unfortunately this module doesn't work on my Sony Xperia Z3 compact. Android 5.0.2
I feel like I'm really going to like this module !! But just a little thing : would it be possible to make it also force the screen to wake up when you receive a call ? Because (and I'm sure there is no option for this) whenever I receive a call, I must first push the power button in order to answer it (weird huh ?)...
Testing this on Samsung Kitkat

on Android 5 you dont need this module
As far as i know if you have power key ends call feature enabled on Android 5 and screen sleeps, then when you first press power key it wakes up screen and second press ends call.

Strange never faced this issue on any of my device. Android automatically wakes screen when call is received. may be you are using a screen guard that may be covering proximity sensor

Yes nice idea, will this be possible ? I too sometimes have to push the power button then answer the call.
I'm not sure if this module aim to solve this problem
I receive a phone call, the phone call ends and my screen locks with pin number.
Why would it do that?
Anyway I read your description, it seems it solves another problem I never noticed.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 neo with kitkat 4.4.2
It is not keeping my screen on using Android 5.1.1. Still goes black when on call, supposed to stay on correct?

This module prevent normally your screen goes to sleep when you make a call with speaker. But with this module my screen goes off anyway when I make a call. And yes with pressing the powerkey you can turn on the screen again. That also worked on Android 4.3.
Did not work on my ZTE Kis 3
Hello:
Thanks for the effort but this did not work on my ZTE Kis 3 working on android 4.4.2. Should I do anything to make it work, any thong on definitions?

I also noticed this weird behaviour on my S4, 4.4.2. It would be very nice if this module could fix this "issue". Not sure either whether it's the case yet.
useful module...confirmed works on Lenovo A3000 with AOSP 4.2.2
Please if you have some time, try to make it compatible with MIUI.
