Vibration and some other problems MiniCM7 V21 Pro Paul-xxx - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi, i was delaying this topic but i can't help it, i need your expertise.
When i answer calls and get the phone close to the ear the phone constantly vibrates, like in 10 and 10 seconds. Even if i have an unread message or not ... How can i disable this thing ? My girlfriend hears the sound of the vibration from the other side of the call .. and annoys me too ...
xLoud feature never works ... or at least i think it doesn't, because when i select it at definitions -> sound and return to the sound menu it will be disabled again ...
When i'm on a call, i hear some interference like the sound of a television getting radio interference from a cell phone but in a microscopic way .. Not that this annoys me that much, but you know i like my stuff to be 100% pimped and fully working.
Thanks.

i think it should be setted in setting open settings<cyanogenmod setting<sound<and there you found the setting that vibrate during calls so u disable that then u can be away from ur problem
or other wise open settings<call settings < there u can find the setting that to vibrate for every 45 sec option so disable that uthen you can be away from ur problem
and u can enjoy talking with ur gf

Sorry for the long time to respond, thanks that helped. What about the other problems ?
I'hav got another problem now, sometimes after charging, i turn on the phone and it freezes in sony ericsson logo, i have to remove the battery and turn it on again ....

So, someone have this types of bugs ?
thank you

Used pauls awesome rom v21 for a long time, didnt experience this problem though
How screens actually has a screen proximity sensor, when we move phone close to our ear during phonecall, it detects it and turns off the screen. When you pull it away the screen comes back on. This is for battery saving.
In your case if it vibrates every 10 seconds during a call i think it is uncommon, maybe u can try setting vibration off for notification sounds and see how that works? Like reddy suggested?
Could be a bad installation. But just a suggestion, i recently unlocked bootloader, installed nAa kernel and install pauls cyanogenmod 9 v2 rom and it works ultra smooth, i recommend you try it out. The nAa kernel should give u general improvements in the phone also

Hi,
Have you this requirements:
- Only 2.1.1.A.0.6 SE firmware
- Baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
If you have, try to make a full factory reset and wipe cache and see how it work's, if you have the same problems you should conciderer make a new reinstalation.

[Q] A way to Disable vibration when shutting down

Hi all,
as the title says...is there any way of turning off / disabling the vibration that happens to tell you your phone is off.?
it's really annoying
running Omega ICS v10 - XWKL1
TIA..
-phil
Seriously ? How many times do you shutdown your phone per hour ?
I do not know of such mod and I don't believe that someone else thought to remove it ...

there was no need to be nasty, if you didn't know, just say you don't know.
@blueseeker I do it once per day when I go to bed and it's a pointless vibrate so just wondered if I'd missed a setting or if anyone had a script that would/could disable it..
But thanks for your response
@theguydan thanks for the criticism of the pointlessness of blueseekers comment
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I don't think there is because it isn't normally seen as a big issue and can be useful (i.e. if you think your phone is bricked or there is a boot loop but it vibrates). Sorry I couldn't help more, it may depend on the rom you use (stock rom has a sound but Cyanogenmod doesn't).
Actually my i9000 doesn't vibrate after shutting it down !! Is it normal ??
It just stopped doing it after flashing a JVT !!
thanks
Prevent Samsun Galaxy S2 or S11 vibrating on shutdown
I've found a way of prevent the annoying shutdown vibration, but it involves stopping all vibrating alerts (I think).
Go to settings, sound, Haptic feedback and turn on the Haptic feedback (if it is not already), then go to vibration intensity (just below) and reduce the sensitivity to zero. Hey presto no more annoying vibration on shut down or indeed annoying vibration at any time .
as Zakarath said... I posted a similar solution just yesterday. Don't forget to use the search before you post. This has already been answered a couple of times.

Xperia Mini Vibration Quality

I used to use s.e. W810, recently switched to xperia mini. Everything is pretty nice but the vibration level. It's barely sensible. When I have my phone in my jean pocket switched to silent mode, I feel nothing and when I check it to see whether there is any notification, usually I got ,say, 3 messages and 2 missing call
So, it's obvious that I don't feel the vibration. Searched a little about it, but neither could find anyone suffers from that problem like I do nor a solution to increase vibration level. However thought that maybe by reaching the phone's system files that can be feasible. So, is it possible to do that, if so, how ?
Thanks in advance.
I've not had a problem with it, but there are also apps to allow you to make your own vibration patterns. So maybe something with a bit more stop/start would help?

Thanks for your suggestion but the problem is not the pattern but the level of the vibration definitely. I compared it with other phones and it's really not that high like old phones.
Go sms pro can help you define how many miliseconds the vibration for a notification for a new text should last. haven't used any app which can do the same for incoming calls, but it should exist somewhere in the market!
Actually what I'm looking for is to be able to increase the power of the motor inside the phone which creates those vibrations. This is adjustable for sure, cause for instance as typing it vibrates very slowly. So, by playing with codes they can be achieved, at least as theoretically

[Q] Remove Shutdown and Startup vibration

hello,
newbee here. I have acquire a sansung galaxy S2, and have a lot of fun with it.
trouble started when it rebooted at night. I figured out that some update or application crashes were the cause of it.
I think i rid of most of the issues, and got it pretty stable.
To avoid future complication, I even rid of the startup sound, but I can not rid off the vibration (especially the one when shutting down....)
I think it is part of the basic settings, and I did a lot of researches... no luck
Apps like Silent boot would not work either....
Do anyone know if it's even possible ?
If impossible, is ICS having the same issue, or can this be tuned ?
(i just can't believe no one thought of making that optional ...)
Please help me...
I'm on ICS and don't have that. It is part of system settings - sound. It usually is affected by the mode you have your phone set to (like if you have sound set to Sound and Vibrate or just Vibrate, etc). Try changing to just sound and see if that stops it from vibrating (or just silent mode with no vibrate).
Can also try to untick Vibrate on screen tap.
ICS is sweet... can't go back to GB... what you waiting for?!
Sorry, but this does not work (phone is rooted)
. tried vibration off no luck
. tried silent mode no luck
Is there someone who knows where is configured the vibration settings ?
I mean in which filesystem (full path if possible) ... ?
note: Official Samsung ICS for Unlocked Phones will come soon... unless there is a safe ROM and method to install it. For now I would concentrate on my Vibration issue.
Firstly, be patient. People will try to help you, doesn't mean the first answer fixes your problem.
As I stated... ICS does not have this problem. Phone makes no sound and no vibrate, if you set it that way on ICS.
How about give us more information. You said you're rooted but on GB. Are you using any different type of kernel other than stock? Like Siyah 2.xx?
As the filesystem where you can doodle with removing vibrations... I will leave someone with more experience to deal with that (even if I know the path)... in case I advise you something that can screw things up after.
*you might want to reset the phone - as the system notification/vibration settings should have done the trick.
hello
I upgraded to 4 versions of ICS.
Each one of them did not correct the issue : it still vibrate when shutting down the phone. (darkyrom, OCA, Pure and a "4.0.4" version having a clever 3 way option to launch (Nova, TW and Apex)).
I did not reset the settings yet but I will give it a go.
I will the thread updated.
That's a very strange bug then. The settings to control that though, is not with the launchers but with System Settings.
Maybe try this:
System Settings - Volume <inside there you have 4 settings. Try changing System to very low or all the way off. Then go to the whatever mode you have it set to (like Silent Mode or whatever)... and select Mute.
Then the lower categories of System... uncheck all of them: Keytones, Touch sounds, Screen lock sound, Vibrate on screen tap.
See if that works. If it does, then can narrow it down to one of those settings.
Thank you very much
The simplest things are not always obvious to the common....
It works, the vibration disappeared when /SOUNDS/VIBRATION SETTINGS/Vibrate on touch was set to the lowest. Meantime, the little vibration at startup disappeared as well. Now the phone can crash, update and reboot at night without waking me up ! .. a good logcat reader (just in case) running in background will help cleaning up when some error occurs....
Once again, thank you: that drove me mad.
Glad that worked. You're right, sometimes the simplest things are not always obvious, for everyone ;-)

touchkey backlight and phone.apk

i got i9100g with cm9.1 stable on it.
there are two problems: after turning the touchkey backlight OFF in advanced settings, they stay off until i reboot my phone. they are turned on again even if the settings still show theyre off. i always have to tick and untick it. if i do that every morning, itll steal time of my life
second "problem" is that after underclocking my device to max 150mhz it rings but doesnt directly show the screen which shows whos calling. means i cant take the call directly. could someone link me a modded or maybe the stock phone.apk? with modded i mean a lite one. maybe without that big dummy pics as i wont ever use pics on my contacts...

do you turn off your phone every night? well, anyway, i guess it's by default when you use CM..
2nd, i don't think its because of the underclocking.. you can check out some mods at the Themes and App section there are lots of mods there and it's hard for me to do it for you

LED notification settings and missed calls notification

Hi,
I've got the Sony xperia M4 Aqua for a week now - so far so good .. but ..
the LED notification is not soo well adjusted (I think), because:
flashing for a blink of an eye (around 200 Millisecs) and then off for over 5000 Millisecs - its hard to see and u have to wait quite long for the next flash
so I would like to change this to, e.g. 2000 Millisecs on an 2000 Millisecs off .. I guess its not possible without an extra app, so I tried LED Blinker Pro (is it ok to mention apps? Which I used on my old phone)
the settings for the different colors on different notifications works, but the settings for the flash intervall doesnt do anything to the LED
anybody else experience this or has an other app which does the job?
secondly - missed calls:
At the moment I dont get a single sign that I missed a call. I dont get a message on the lockscreen or the notification bar!
Where can I put the notification on?
Thanks
Nobody else annoyed about that short blinking behavior?
Yeah I was searching for an answer for a long time but I gave up, no app could change the flashing frequency and default settings make the led light useless to me. Someone has any ideas?

did u just search for an app or did u try some apps? and if u tried, which have u tried?
there are apps that are supposed to be able to change the flashing frequency, like the mentioned LED Blinker, but on our M4 aqua it doesnt seem to work
I tried led blinker, light flow and light manager, eveything worked beside this freaking flashing. I really lost hope but I cant give up cause this drives me crazy, maybe root will help?

these 3 apps I tried too. no change in flashing behaviour contacted LED Blinker Support, but no tipp worked for the M4 and it seems too less people complain about it, so the developer doesnt do a research by now
hoping new firmware or root will do the trick
...
over two months later, but still nothing changed
maybe if more people complain / react e.g. in this thread, the developer of the apps will see that there is need to do sth
this thread has over 1.300 views, so it seems to border more then just two or three people ...
i'd like to start a voting, but unfortanetly afterwards a thread is open, its not possible to add a voting, or is it?
Well, sometimes I don´t like the short flashes, too. But overally, would you like your LED to flash like a police car? You can catch that blink if you look at your phone for less than 5 sec, what more do you want?
Therefore, I like its behaviour and I do not think it would be changeable without root, or maybe with it. Who knows.

Now that we have root access, someone tried methods involving rooting? This led notification needs change.
to be accurate its off for 6 seconds and flashes so shortly, that it is hard to recognize the color ..
of course I dont want a "stroboscope flashing" :silly: ! But a shorter off-time and a longer on-time, e.g. 2 secs on - 2 secs off, would be very helpfull ..
which timing anybody prefers its up to him (4 secs on - 1 sec off, or 10 secs on - 3 secs off - thats not the point) .. the point is, that it is not changeable .. and with other phones its possible and I think the apps don't even require root on other phones to work, correct me if i'm wrong.
Hi,
I got a rooted M4 Aqua and I tried about 10 different apps to get this changed, but no luck.
I think that the notification led is a very helpful tool. Now 6 seconds (even 5) to check, it's not ideal or practical at all (when you're driving, walking). Plus it blinks for 200ms or so which makes it very . This makes the users forget about the notification led and just switch the screen on. I see there's a lot of views on this but nothing changes.
I'm going to try a custom ROM because this Sony firmware is getting on my nerves. Such a good phone and the software is really making it have bad reputation.

exactly, thanks for the feedback :good: over 2.000 views now .. so its seems to bother people .. hopefully someday someone will find the solution for this ...
I've found the way to add a vote/poll .. 2.400 views too late, but better than never
Anything new? I didn't even find solution from xposed modules.
Hey, this issue is a real problem for me. Any progress been made on this? I'm within my 14 day return period for my M4, and I'm almost considering switching it for something else just because of this.
I agree with this. Had a Xperia SP before and it was like a christmas tree but usefull.
Not really concerned about the frequency of the led light. Mine doesnt even flash at all. It would turn on when charging or when the bettery is low. But thats about it. installing 3rd party apps might consume my battery faster so i leave it as it is.
As of today the light no longer even blinks. It is only functional as a charging indicator. The notification LED option is still enabled in Settings > Sound & Notification. I'm probably going to switch the M4 for a C4. I'm definitely not to the point of losing faith in Sony yet though, despite the additional heat issues which are another story.
