I am using Mate 10 ALP-L29C636 in Pakistan, my phone is stuck in Pie 9.0.0.228 and not received 9.1 version till now. Anyone using the same can confirm whether it's me or others have been updated to 9.1.
What can be the possible problem.
I am also from Pakistan and i have c185 variant, my current software ver is 9.1.0. 320. Don't know about c636.

Try hisuite, remove your SIM card and connect to pc and open hisuite.
Or change country in hicare to any country for example UAE or Singapore or UK and check for update.
I am from Egypt and have L29C636,9.1.321
I also think so. As @hamadazh said, download HiSuite from Huawei official website, and then try to upgrade for your Mate 10.
I have received the OTA updates once I changed my sim, don't know how but now I am on 9.1.0.321 build.

Hello all. I just got a Mate 10 (ALP-L09) from a friend and i wonder why the android security patch it's stuck at version 8.0.0.103 (C652) from september 2017... When i connect to HiSuite or check for software update it's telling me that i run the newest software... Why the region code is C652 and it's not C432 (for Europe)... I live in Romania but i got the phone from a friend who lives in Spain... So what can i do to get the latest build?! Thanks in advance
LATER EDIT - After some digging i found out that the C652 is the DEMO unit region code for Europe... so why the GSM working (4G on Orange/Vodafone) but i can't update the software to a newer version?!

They are fully functional, except the ability to update...
You'd have to rebrand it to get an up to date phone.
However, you are lucky. Your phones firmware still can use DC to get unlock code, so you'd only waste $4 instead of $50ish (there are cheaper alternatives but DC is still the cheapest).
Or you could use funky to rebrand, but it's also expensive.
So can you please guide me how to do a rebrand? i am a noobie (or give me some link how to rebrand and get the newest firmware)? Thanks
PS - I am afraid not to brick the phone (i bricked 2 already, a honor 6 and a mate s)

But checking FF some devices seem to receive updates, or they are atleast pushed to hicloud. If they end up at user phones is another story.

No because it has to be approved for installation. The only way is unlocked bootloader and "no check recovery"

It hasn't been approved yet for the USA model View 10 according to FF. Hopefully soon!
There are a lot of improvements and changes with EMUI 9.1 It looks like the View 10 is getting most of them.

FF is now saying 9.1 has been approved but when I check to see if I have an update it's telling me I don't

I used India as mine is a bkl l09 c675
I got it today In the uk. So far has been improvements in battery, and recents. Haven't played any games or anything yet. I also got notifications in that I hadn't got before for a long time ?
Got update in Czech Republic yesterday. Ordinary update, no need to force.

Thanks, was hoping much sooner. Maybe we will get an updated version. I see there is already 2 more 9.1 updates for the US phone on Firmware Finder, one dated 8/6.

No, and Honor support said they have no information if the USA model will ever receive it. I'm thinking it will never come. Another user said support told him the updates for the USA and Canada are over for the 7x and View 10.
But can we update USA firmware from firmware Finder? So I can do mine and forget about OTA

Nope, you can no longer do that with Firmware Finder. We are stuck until they release it, which is seeming more and more less likely. Honor USA is just giving a standard BS answer. I think US support is done.

I attempted to install the 9.1 update but it kept failing no matter which approach I took. If you manage to get it installed, please let me know what steps you took.

I have seen only one message from LYA-L09 user that got EMUI 10 update, all I've seen are on lya-l29. Single sim always last to be updated....

The only thing we know is that we don't know, Huawei communication is anything but precise right now. Some version of EMUI 10 seem to be available to some regions for both 09 and/or 29 according to user reports across the web, but that's not everyone so probably link to IMEI.
You can risk a DLOAD update if you're up to it, but no one can reply you for sure at the moment if there is an update available for your phone

Correct update is link to imei of the phone. They push the update on certain region, first China and then the rest but a bit random.
Huawei is a disaster regarding updates, and here on XDA we get frustrated because we would like to know what we can and we we cannot do. We end up using tool (hstool or dload method) which bricked some user's phone.
Dload indeed is available now but to be sure it is better to wait until we get feedback.
Huawei really frustrates in update matter. One who tried dload in forum end up with a bricked device

I'm on LYA-L09 and i have EMUI 10 running. i downloaded the HiCare app, before opening it i switched off my location. opened up the app, selected my region as UK, and then clicked on updates, and that was it, update was available for me.

I used this method to install 9.1.0.346 and immediately received emui 10 through HiCare. (mate 20 Italy, HMA-L09)

I used this method to install 9.1.0.346 and immediately received emui 10 through HiCare.
If you try dload or to use hstool to install EMUI 10 for the wrong model /version you will end up bricking your phone.
Maryan40k got the update because HMA-L09 is going to be updated so having the right version (on this case 9.1.0.346) he could update via hicare
See confidential file attached, hicare update is plan to go live end of December, and official OTA in February so we have time before to have it getting devices
I got the update after updating the HiCare App via Huawei AppGallery

Yeah I think it can do the trick to get last version of hicare, someone told me it worked for him after 2 days he got the update

2-research HiCare
3-click on other version
4-install v10. 0. 5.354
5 lunch hicare and click on update

It was not beta, I had version 9.1.0.350 (C45E1) Tigo
but I saw in previous post that I was emui 10 and I did the process with dload without seeing that I installed the compilation (c432E7) that is different from my region and I think that from there the problems started
i went back through HiSuite 9.1

Install dload emui10 C45's cust&preload.
If not available, a fix would be to rename emui10 dload cust&preload from wrong cust region to right C45 filenames with right vendorcountry name for your device.
You'll end up with a booting device which will work fine for now with wrong region cust&preload until C45's are available.
