I'm working on it for about 2 days and do not know what to do anymore.
My phone worked perfectly, except it's rooted the rest is original.
On saturday I tried to convert an user app to system app and brick the operation system. So... sideloaded a stock room downloaded from ASUS suport page and "vuala", the phone was back to normal, them i think, if i install TWRP next time i brick my phone ll be easier ro restore if i had a backup.
Then i perform the procedures in this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/general/recovery-twrp-2-8-6-0-asus-zenfone-5-t3136263
In TWRP i did a backup of my system and it ask me to install root on the device, what i did . After that the system start to freeze and rebbot randomly even without user interaction.
-My first step was factory reset, not work.
-Removed root, and factory reset again. not work
Wipe system and data partition, re-flash by ADB sideload the stock room, steel freezing and rebooting
I've downloaded the original stock rom V3.23.40.60, replaced the fastboot and recovery to original V3.23.40.60, re-flash dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin and ifwi_ctp_a500cg.bin from original image V3.23.40.60.
-Removed SD card, microSD and reflashed everithig again. still not work.
After all the probelm persists. Someone have any idea what's going on? My knowledge about mobiles is't enough to deal with this probelma alone.
I start thinking about hardware inssue but it's rly weird.
Some questions:
-There are another partitions on the device that can be restored to factory or reseted?
-Change bootloader or recovery can directly influence the operation system?
-Is there a program I can test internal storage of my device and RAM?
I rooted my x829 and flashed TWRP (v3.0.2-1) and Lineage 13.1. Since I want to try other ROMs to see if they can fix the fp sensor problem, I use TWRP to back up this ROM and wiped/reflashed other ROMs. Later I tried to restore this ROM, everything seems fine but the recovered ROM lost my unlock pattern. This prevented me from unlocking the screen. I have to wipe and flash the ROM again. When I back up, I selected system, data and boot. After I restore, I wiped cache and dalvik. Not sure what I did wrong. Anyone has idea or is it possible the TWRP has some bug related to backup/restore? Thanks a lot.
don't know the cause but it's easy to fix.

Whenever i load TWRP it asks for my password to decrypt data which it doesnt and then it suggested to format data. I go to format data but it is unsuccessful. Next step i try is to wipe everything and then sideload the stable current build for miui10 but usually stops at around 47%. Meaning my device is just stuck in bootloop. it has a couple of times claimed to have completely installed but nothing happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Note: Apparently my phone has SELinux protection on it
Edit: Have successfully decrypted phone but sideloading rom still doesnt install correctly
Edit 2: installed orangefox and rom now loads but only for about 30 seconds of interactable time before it reboots. Also it can't connect to wifi on setup screen. Flashing the official latest stable build for miui10
Edit 3: after trying to boot with multiple custom roms after factory resets for each it still bootloops so now i'm completely out of ideas
Edit 4: Found a rom that has a different start up. Still bootloops but says encryption was interrupted and cant be completed and that gboard has stopped working. says i have to do a factory reset whick obviously still doesn't work even when i return to stock recovery
Edit 5: Also Booting device into EDL and flashing rom through the xiaomiflash app doesn't work
Did you have any luck?

I have the same phone and the same issue as many others pointed out and I can not for the life of me figure it out. Would appreciate an update if you were able to get it to unlock the bootloader.
Sorry new here. I thought this was a thread for the BLU Life one X2 which is what I'm stuck with and can not OEM unlock.
@Seemedlikeitdbeeasy
How to unlock phone's boot-loader in detail is described here:

Hey all, so it appears that I screwed my phone, I am not sure how.
I was running LineageOS, and wanted to update to Android 10 one, so I followed the steps, and I think I screwed the sideloading part, so... long story short now when rebooting from OrangeFox RecoveryProject it says no OS detected, and when it boots it says encryption unsuccessful, I tried wiping and installing DisableForceEncryption_Treble_v17.2 and restarting, and the same thing happens.
I tried to flash through recovery both, and did not work:
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/beryllium/
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/vendor/beryllium/
And when trying to flash through miFlash it doesn't work:
I go to fastboot in poco, hit refresh in miflash, it shows a device in the list, but the phone goes dark with 'something key to shutdown` written in the top left corner and if I hit the flash button nothing happens.
Can anyone assist with that please?

This happened to me when I accidentally deleted the OS when flashing the latest MIUI 11 build (using TWRP). THIS IS HOW I FIXED IT.
Find a full firmware of whatever you wanted to flash, either Lineage or MIUI 11. Then flash via your recovery (you said you have orangefox). Use an external sd card, external USB or HDD since you technically wouldn't have access to your internal data. After flashing, same process as most updates, clear cache and dalkiv. Then flash a newer DFE (if you still want to decrypt, there is a page here in xda with it. Or go to miui forums Happybuddhist, the mod there, made a new one prebuilt with Magisk). Then reboot into recovery to make sure you keep your custom recovery. Once booted to recov. Boot to system. Should fix the issue.
You could check my guide here on how to unbrick your pocophone:

I tried that, now I am a step forward I think, I flashed the stock firmware I found, and installed the latest stock ROM, rebooted (doesn't say no os anymore), but the only thing I see is a DELETE ALL DATA button and at the bottom 'Encryption was interrupted and can't be completed. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.
To resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset. When you set up your phone after the reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your Google account.'

So I had an OS-less phone that don't get recognised in MiFlash, and I had orangeFox recovery.
The steps to fix were:
- Flash a full stock Firmware
- Flash the stock ROM
- Flash DFE
- Format data to ext4
- Reboot and it works
So thanks all for your help
In my aim to bypass the Google Photos storage limitation I tried my hand at (21-05-2021)Pixel Experience Rom (O.S.S Based). I was a painless experience to Flash the rom file through Orange Fox recovery. Initially the Rom was super stable and had everything I would use for my Daily Driver. Soon after I finalised everything in the Rom I received the 26-05 update of the Rom. I of course installed it as advised in the thread. Soon after rebooting everything was going fine when I received a WhatsApp video call, but front Cam kept going up and down with great difficulty. I tried the default camera app of the Rom to check and there too front cam would not Pop out smoothly and I would get error for Calibrating the Front cam. On going for calibration it would not work. I tried doing a complete clean flash of the 26-05 Rom but error would not go away.
Now I got worried and tried to do a Clean flash of Stock 12.0.5 Miui Indian Rom via Recovery but the Front cam was less then stable. It would work sometimes and some times it would pop up a little less the full out. Due to that the Cam pic would come slightly blurry. I Googled the front cam calibrating issue and found a lot of references to Persist partition. Also guys @Pixel experience telegram channel guided me through a lot of trial and error but nothing worked. I tried restoring an 2 months old FOX backup of then Stock Miui installation. That seemed to help a little but cam was still Unstable. I tired to Do a Clean Fastboot Flash of the 12.0.5 Miui stock and that to gave similar unstable results where I would be required to calibrate the front cam which would not work.
Then following some YouTube instructions i decided to try the dreaded Persist image flash(from the Fastboot stock Image). At this moment I was resigned to loose my Widewine L1.... But that too did not help a bit and A repeat Clan Fastboot flash of Stock also failed to do anything to the Front cam problem. Finally I gave up the whole thing and decided to just use the phone without Selfies cam.
Did everything needed to get a working Phone with stock Miui rooted and everything. But now the phone kept getting Encrypted despite doing everything to prevent that. (DM verity and also Ofox force disable encryption).
Finally tiring of all the crap, I went to sleep leaving my phone as it was. In the morning while searching for a solution I cam across a Orange fox Backup I had taken a while back which had only the most Important Partitions (Persist, VBMeta, etc) on my computer. I said lets try this one too..
I did a clean Fastboot flash of current stock Miui and then flashed latest Ofox recovery via ADB. Then in recovery (where i again faced the encryption issue which i this time chose to do a flash unlock.)
In recovery I did a complete wipe and format of data partition. After this I copied my Fox backup and Rom Folder from the computer.
I restored the small Backup (It has Persist, Vbmeta, Dtbo etc) After this without wiping anything I flashed Stock recovery 12.0.5 Miui (an older downloaded copy from my computer). Flashed DM -verity file. and after wiping dalvic rebooted the system. Took a while but System booted up fine. After this I started the process of restoring the Google Backup. After a couple of reboots and finishing the setup I tried the front cam . It worked smoothly for all the 20 or so times i tried it. SO finally i was able to get rid of the Problem..
Though I do seem to have lost the Widewine L1... So if anyone has a sureshot way to get that back please help me out..
So lesson I learned is Always have Complete Backup and special Backup of important Partitions....

You can get widevine L1 back by flashing xiaomi.eu rom 12.5.5 or 12.5.6
There might be other custom roms with this functionality
