Hi
As I wrote in the title, my phone is not booting with viper4android but my case is not so straight forward, so let me tell you the story of my phone.
Long, long time ago, in the age of miui 9 I somehow ended up with unofficial lineageos 16 and magisk. Everything was perfect: speed, battery life, functions. Then I came across viper.
I noticed that it was working great, but on bluetooth it did not at all. Driver was loaded, compatibility was ok, but processing always said no.
Fast forward to end of january 2020. I found lineage os 17.1 (unofficial of course). I thought that maybe before I flash it, maybe it's good to update my firmware, so i flashed miui 11 (9.10.10_v11-8.0) from xiaomi.eu and then flashed lineage os 17.1 (I erased phone with twrp, so it was not dirty flash). I installed magisk and then viper4android and my phone didn't boot.
This is how it looked. Normally my phone boots like this.
Mi logo with unlocked at the bottom of the screen -> lineage os boot animation -> system
With viper installed it looked like this:
Mi logo with unlocked at the bottom of the screen (for a long time) -> fastboot screen
I deleted viper's folder (in data/adb/magisk/modules or something like that) and phone booted normally.
Then i tried to flash global miui (V10.2.4.0.OBGMIXM_d3a51ce7d3_8.0) following with lineage, magisk and viper, but it didn't help.
Things I tried and they didn't work:
-Audio modification library
-legacy viper versions
-other roms
Other modules work normally.
(also if it helps, my phone doesn't boot when I flash gapps pico, but does when I flash gapps nano [it's other type of doesn't boot when it's stuck on boot animation and then goes into recovery])

Could someone help me please? There is an issue with RR on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
When i install RR 5.8.5(2017-12-17)(after wiping both caches, system, data and then using the "Format Data" button in TWRP), the device gets in bootloop. If i connect it to the PC, i can hear system sound (never heard it before, probably Nougat sound signifying device getting connected to PC) but the boot still goes on forever. Sometimes, while connected to PC, boot could get to the point of finishing the boot animation with "Resurrection Remix" printed on screen, but then the screen suddenly goes black and nothing happens. The screen is active, but nothing shows up.
When i install RR 6.1.0(happened with both 2018-07-08 and 2018-06-25) (after wiping above mentioned stuff) the device keeps booting, but after some time it gets rebooted into TWRP.
Current MIUI version installed is MIUI8 Global Stable 6.8.18. Bootloader is unlocked officially. Android version before the wipe was Lollipop 5.1.1. ROMs were downloaded for Kenzo device from the Sourceforge. TWRP version - 3.2.2-0-kenzo. Firmware 8.7.3 installed from this thread on XDA: https://forum.xda-developers.com/red...lobal-t3574361.
I don't understand what am I doing wrong, please help. Thank you in advance.
just don't use RR

U must update ur device to latest miui. Which has marshmallow bootloader.
Custom roms wont boot with lollipop boootloader.
Flash latest marshamallow global stable or beta fastboot rom using pc. And then unlock and flash custom rom.
Maybe you need to update the firmware, or maybe there is some problem in the ROM itself. Try anyother build of RR
A month ago I tried installing Android 9.0 ROM and i got reboot loop after I did the phone setup. I tried different ROMs and everything had the same problem. Even twrp will also stop showing any files in the device and I need to change the file system and revert it back again then mount my phone to desktop and transfer the ROM. I was told that it was because of me not installing MIUI 10 before trying it. So today I installed MIUI 10 and tried installing lineage 16.0 and got the same problem. Phone starts going into reboot And recovery does not show any files!
Please help me from this hell! I'm hating this MIUI.

First of all I have to assume that you are sure that you have Redmi 5 plus (Vince) and not Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred), if this is the case let´s go to the next.
Any Miui rom encrypts data by default at least from oreo so no way to avoid this, if you flash a Miui rom then your data wont´be accesible and the next rom to be flashed you have to sideload it via adb (there are other ways).
I think you missed something here, if you flash a mui rom and over it a pie rom then there´s no way that your device reboots to system. You only have to flash firmware 8.1 from miui not the whole rom.
Start this from the scratch; I recommend OrangeFox recovery instead of TWRP so it has more features https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../official-orangefox-recovery-project-t3807479
- Before to flash nothing In orangeFox recovery enable the options DM-verity and disable force encryption, you will find too options to keep OTA and others, check which you want.
- Flash the firmware miui 8.1 https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603850663
- Flash the pie rom for vince (may not apply for a GSI pie)
- Flash the Gapps (if needed)
it´s all.
Just a tip; be careful with changing system of files at any time so if the process is cutted/interrupted for some reason your device could be seriously damaged.
it does. you just need to flash firmware file first.
Hello,
I have three LG G3 LS990s; two of which run LineageOS 16.0 fine. My 3rd G3 was actually the first I installed Lineage(14.1) on. This was working fine until I updated to 15.0. After that point I was no longer able to boot into Lineage ROMs. I'm able to install, boot and root stock ROMs; but lineage stays on the boot animation even if I leave it running all night. I recently restored stock LS990zv4 and redid the process of rooting and installing TWRP(3.3.1.0) . However lineage is still hanging at the boot screen.
I saved the logs from TWRP but I'm not sure if they show the lineage OS boot process. Any help at figuring out why this one phone is misbehaving would be appreciated. One thing that stood out in dmesg.log is below. It still mentions lineage 14.1 even after I restored stock before formatting, clearing Dalvic/Cache and installing Lineage 16.0.
"<4>[ 0.021435] WARNING: at ../../../../../../lineageos-cm-14.1/kernel/lge/g3/fs/proc/generic.c:323 __xlate_proc_name+0xb0/0xc4()"
I'm not familiar enough with linux/android partitions to understand how the boot process flows. I've also tried installing the boot partition from one of my G3s which boot lineage.
So, I've managed to boot into twrp & I wiped all my data & then flashed lineage os (attachment) & rebooted but it didn't reboot into lineage os instead it went into that bootloader unlocked warning & then went black & now If I restart I can go back to that & then back to black. I did not flash magisk on it since the whole process of doing that changed recently now requiring you to do that from some kind of an app on an actually working os so I figured that I'll just install it from lineage os & as (from what I know) it's not required, not having magisk shouldn't be the issue. Any ideas?
did you flash vendor? some Android 11 ROMs are vendor-less, needs you to download Android 11 vendor from your device group, I suggest telegram. anyways you can look for a ROM that has "vendor included" note to avoid that for easier flash.
Have unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP 3.7.0_9-0
Have tried to flash Pixel Experience 11, Pixel Experience 12 and Arrow v11
All of them just hang at first boot, with the animated logo. I left each for over half an hour.
Have wiped everything I can think to wipe.
Is there something obvious I'm failing to do ? Lineage 18.1-20210620 was on the device before I started.
Edit: I can re-install Lineage 18.1 but nothing newer. Do I need to do something to enable newer ROM flashes?

To check:
TWRP/O.F
wipe/format data type yes
reboot Twrp/O.F
Flash latest firmware (if necessary).
Flash the rom as instructed by the OP.

Use TWRP by REIGNZ based on A12 system_ext. You can find it my POCO F1 Ultimate Collection & Guides along with Guides for clean installation.
P.S: Near the link of twrp by reign you will also find a link for the current bugs/issues and workaround for them.
