Hello Guys,
I was trying to install OxygenOS 3.1.0 when I was on Sultanxda's CM13 but instead bricked the device.
What I did:-
1. Rebooted to TWRP and flashed stock OOS recovery and then clicked reboot into recovery.
2. Instead of rebooting in recovery my phone got stuck at the OnePlus logo.
3. I booted into fastboot to flash twrp.img but it says 'writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: device is locked. Cannot erase)'
4. I repeated the same with stock recovery but no success and was not even able to boot to CM13 now.
Hence I was stuck on the OnePlus logo without any booting ROM or recovery and a locked bootloader (according to fastboot)
What I have already tried but failed:-
1. Tried to root with kingroot etc. (Before bricking)
2. Tried to unlock bootloader but failed because it has no recovery.
3. Tried to flash stock OOS 2.1.3-x
4. For now I used fastboot continue to boot back into CM13
Please help, I'm now stuck with cm13 without root and without any recovery installed.
P.S. I'm not even sure that if I clicked reboot then the phone will boot.
Thanks.
Okay, calm down.
Go to developer options and see if "OEM Unlocking" is enabled. If not, enable it.
Cool. Now enable USB Debugging, connect the phone to PC, open CMD and type
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
then
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Download TWRP from the official website, rename it to recovery.img and then
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Now you have a recovery and an unlocked bootloader. Profit?
I hope this helps.

Thanks for your help,
But if you read my post then you'll understand that due to absence of a recovery I can't unlock the bootloader and hence cannot flash twrp

You don't need recovery to unlock bootloader, you need fastboot.

Same problem. But i dont have pc with windows and can't use mega unbrick guide(
Any news with solution?
Pretty inexperienced with Andriod after taking the leap from IOS.
Rooted my honor 7 using Kingoroot everything worked fine then I let me phones battery die whilst at work came home to charge it up and now it's stuck in a boot loop/honor screen.
So far I have tried to let it automatically download the ROM using the EMUI recovery that fails completely.
I tried using HiSuite to recover that gets to 90% then gets stuck.
Finally I have tried every single honor 7 ROM i can find in an attempt to install via SD card every time I have it tells me version check fail.
Only had the phone couple of months anything I can do to recover it/repair?
Many thanks
Markus
did you unlock bootloader before rooting? you could use adb to flash stock rom....
next time dont follow youtube guides titled "how to root any android phone", on android theres way bigger change to bootloop or brick your device while messing with root, custom recovery and custom roms than on iOS. in this thread you will have all info beginner needs about honor 7 rooting, fixing and customizing: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/general/guide-beginners-how-to-root-update-fix-t3255452

Thanks for the reply and no I did not as I wasn't aware it needed to be done however in fastboot it says Phone Unlocked and the fastboot oem get-bootinfo also says (bootloader) unlocked.
Yet I am still unable to to flash as Command not allowed is appearing when I try.
I have tried following the guide to aquire my unlock password from the huawei site how ever it tells me my details i.e serial number and imei are incorrect.
Really appreciate the help , thank you

i think rooting app unlocked it wrong(caused bootloop) and messed something up....
Get the B380 update from Honor site and do a forced update ( if you've already been on B380).
It should work after that.

Tried that get a version check fail.
btw did you install xposed? it doesnt work on emui... just bootloops
What version are you current on? B380?
I assume that this KingoRoot thing messed up your SYSTEM Partition and thats why it bootloops. To fix this do this:
If you're on B380, go and get the B380 full update from the official Honor site and extract it so that you can see the UPDATE.APP file.
Then get the Huawei Update extractor from here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
Open it and extract the SYSTEM.img and the BOOT.img
If you are familiar with adb do this: (if not, ask what to do)
copy SYSTEM.img to your adb folder. Connect your phone in fastboot mode, and enter in cmd: "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
and after its done:
"fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img" (everything without quotation marks obviously)
It will take some time, be patient. If it's done just write: fastboot reboot
and lets hope it works for you !

To get rid off of TWRP you flash Stock Recovery.
I think the correct command sequence is
Code:
adb reboot
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery <STOCK-RECOVERY-IMAGE-FILE>
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
Search for the appropriate Stock Recovery image by yourself. GIYF ...
If you instead want to re-flash Stock ROM then the correct command sequence would be
Code:
adb reboot
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
fastboot flash-all <STOCK-ROM-IMAGE-FILE>
fastboot reboot
Try going back to stock (Fastboot/download mode/Odin, depending on the device)
Thank You!
I have successfully went to fastboot mode and flashed the stock rom! Thank you for your support!! ?? The phone is working now in the Android 7.
BUT,
now if i install twrp custom recovery, i don't know what happens, after restarting to system i cannot boot to system , it just shows the boot animation and just goes off or sometimes it boots to fastboot mode.
then if i flash the stock rom again using the sd card in the the default recovery mode after flashing that stock recovery, it works again.
Also if I install TWRP recovery, TWRP could not install any Roms ! it just says that Updater process ended with error 6 or 7 randomly.
So, how do I install custom recovery and roms in it now?

Assumed the TWRP.IMG you use is the correct one, then there is no need to install TWRP recovery, booting into it is fully enough - this will preserve device's Stock Recovery
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot boot <TWRP.IMG>
The TWRP is booting perfectly! But if I install any zip file i.e ROM or Mods, it says that Updater process ended with error 6 or 7!!
This is the problem with TWRP.
And, if install TWRP in the phone, then restart the phone , if I restart to system, it doesn't work ,just it shows the boot animation and turns off.

This is not TWRP recovery related, but it's related to the Custom ROM zip-file you try to flash: The ROM zip-file you try to flash isn't made for your device.

you should have flashed vbmeta.img so that you don't get in bootloop
You mean your phone wouldn't go into bootloader by "Vol. down button + power button" holding from power off state?

Maybe the rom you downloaded and the base rom running on your device is not the same version, that may cause the error. {Mod edit}

My realme 7 5G is not rooted.

First you all. Say the Model Number. You talk about Realme 7/Pro or 5G...
This issues is fixable. Just need extra tools to bypass Google FRP and a factory images ROM versions. Fixed few devices with the same situation!

did you find soultion of this at now because i also have same problem?
I've done the same thing I accidently typed "fastboot flash recovery magisk_patched.img" and now I cannot get out of the boot loop as there is no way due to messed up recovery + boot. I have been reading about finding and downloading a firmware in zip format that can be flashed with "SP Flash Tool" but when I try I cannot get it to work. The Firmware should be for the Realme 7 5G [RMX2111].
If anyone else can figure it out.... Please help!

It'll be kinda hard. You're gonna have to find a stock ROM - not an OTA update - and you're gonna need to use python to extract the contents from the .OFP file. This should be it. https://firmwarefile.com/oppo-realme-7-5g-rmx2111
basically you can follow this tutorial
the only difference is you have to use realme 7 firmware not C3. this is ofp file for rmx2151 you can extract it with ofp extractor. also I link this guide for RMX2155. its bootloader unlock guide for RMX2155, but you also follow that guide to revive RMX2151 (until step 10 is sufficient, unless you want unlocked bootloader too)
SF Flash tool is a quite useful for flashing/unbrick Mediatek phones. just read instruction more carefully from now

good. this for Realme 7 :
- Textguide : https://telegra.ph/Hard-Brick-Fix-for-Realme-7-01-25
hello guys, i'm having a problem here, I just installed a pixel plus ui and then installed the magisk app, then I renamed it to a zip file as mentioned in the website and went to flash it on my phone (Realme 7) after flashing successfully completed I pressed the reboot to system option, now it's stuck on the realme logo and doesn't budge anymore... I'm really worried please help me.
I like to know if it's already possible to root device? I thought I could just patch boot image from a fastboot rom, but now I heard that boot.img is probably the recovery partition on A/B devices, while vendor_boot.img is probably the actual boot partition.
Is there a safe and working way to root yet?
Yes I have rooted my Mi 11 Lite 5G . I have also flashed EU rom via fastboot . The process is normal .. Download fast boot rom ..extract ..install latest Magisk application . Patch the boot.img in the images folder. Flash via fastboot ..
fastboot flash boot patchedboot.img
( name the patched file patchedboot.img)
Then you can also flash EU version rom with flash all bat in the fastbootrom.
Thanks for the info. If nothings changing my plans, I will flash tomorrow evening.
I'm my case I flash latest stable.

Yes you need to unlock for flashing but can relock when done if you are flashing official stuff without root .. I'm on latest BETA EU rom and I'm using lawnchair 2 in combo with fluid gestures application to get workaround to get full screen gestures working really well . I'm not aware of which other launchers supppet full screen gestures on miui on amdroid 11 ... Theoretically according to dev of fluid gestures it shouldn't be working ... Cos it's android 11 and MIUI blocks 3rd party gesture apps ..or Google does ..anyway it works with or without root but I have only used lawnchair 2.
Thanks @KevMetal
I was hoping that with that ROM I would be a able to use for example Nova Launcher with gestures.
But that seems to not be the case
Thanks

I'm not saying no . I'm just saying the only workable situation I've found ... It's worth a try .. Install Nova and Fluid gestures.. If it fails try flashing EU rom using that ..failing again try the combo with Magisk .. Still failing replace Nova with Lawnchair...unless you specifically need Nova .. Or if simply don't want to unlock boot.. But is the first thing I do MIUI to get rid of all the bloat systemlessly with Magisk
I will try.
Thanks

No you don't need to know .. Just patch the boot image of the fastboot rom with magisk application on your phone. We don't have a twrp and you need to unlock your bootloader ALWAys on EVERY phone to root or use twrp .. Anyway unlock it ..it's no big deal ..then flash via fast boot
