I haven't seen anywhere if the mi 10 at last have some kind of IP rating
anyone?
No IP rating, you get P2i

For what you need IP rating when you don't get warranty for liquid damage?

Would you say that the Sony Xperia L1 is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the Sony Xperia L1 exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?

This is, by far, the slowest phone I have ever owned. Like EXTREMELY slow.
Having read glowing reviews on it, I'm quite baffled...
Xperia L1 is not the best but is far from the worst. For me is great compared to cost.

To have a honest opinion the device is offering good hardware for the money he ask.
As a rating performance/cost is about 8/9 stars. The phone is really responsive and work sharp.
Google Chrome has been found to still obtain background data even when not in usage, so if you force stop and disable it you might notice a performance increase, especially in weaker networks? I used Firefox from the beginning so I have no comparison benchmarks, but it's worth a shot, and Firefox has a pretty good mobile web browser anyway.
Rate this thread to express how you think the Essential Phone's Wifi performs. A higher rating indicates that it has excellent range, throughput, and signal strength. Like when you're taking a dump in the bedroom upstairs, do your videos have to buffer or do they come through without interruption?

this might not be a WIFI actual issue. However, I am having issues getting MMS/ pictures while on wifi using android messages

Why are you taking a dump in the bedroom?
Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
Posted this in the cell strength thread...dBm isn't bad but not better than OnePlus 5.
Using Speedtest app and Signal Strength app... Testing PH-1 vs OPO 5

***wifi 90d 88u (dBm -58)
OPO 5...AT&T 134d 26u (dBm -100)

Seems decent, but here's my issues. Wifi worked for downloading stuff at work and then I left. 3 hours later, I try to connect to wifi at my house, and it wouldn't find any wifi networks until I restarted the phone. When it is connected though, is picks up even the weakest networks in my area. 14Mbps DL on Essential, 12Mbps DL on my 2015 MBP Retina.
I get speed test results on WiFi that pin my Internet connection's capability (nominal 50Mbps but I do see numbers in excess of that from time to time), so no real complaints there. HOWEVER, until Pie showed up the last Oreo update had horrid problems with throughput going to near ZERO after ~20Mb or so was downloaded. Pie fixed that.
WiFi range suffers a bit here. At the end of my house, I get no reception at all, while my old Nexus 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x have rock solid connections.
WiFi signal strength seems to be about 30% or more lower on my PH1 compared to my LG G5 side by side using WiFi Signal Meter Pro
Is there a know fix or is it an Pie issue?
We know how much you like to stream, ahem, "videos", and so cellular data is mega-important. Rate this thread to express how you think the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's LTE performs. A higher rating indicates that it's fantastic: throughput is excellent and signal strength is top-notch.

Pretty horrible on original rom. But original rom is full of bugs and bad coding.
I have note 5 plus original rom and mi max lineageOS. On chrome and 4g note 5 plus takes 5x time to load page.

celluar strength is very good, I don't have any issue.
Cell strength and 4G LTE throughput are both excellent. The phone is running on the latest version of MIUI (as of a few weeks ago, which I believe is Android 7.0 based. I have heard that another update to MIUI to an Android 8.0 based system [Oreo] is coming soon).
I'm sorry, I know I'm supposed to be rating, but I have a problem, and I need help.
Phone fell in water, and it cellular network reception keeps disappearing every 5 seconds or so. Here in Nigeria, I'm unable to fix it because no hardware spare parts available. What do I do please?

Your only option is to put the phone somewhere as warm as possible, even hot (not direct heat, I mean like the inside of a car, and not in the sun), for a couple of days to let it dry out THOROUGHLY, including, one hopes, internally. If it doesn't work correctly then your only choice will be a new device. They often will work fine, though, if everything is forced back to bone dry from an extended period in high temperature that can penetrate through to the middle of the device and get water evaporating from there.
Do NOT charge it, either, until this is done.
Which means I'm a day late and a dollar short. Because I'm already using the phone, but with Wi-Fi. Problem happened about a month ago, I dried it in every way possible before powering it again. Still, cellular network fluctuates. Guess the phone is now toast...? ? ? ?
Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

A situation got to my phone.
This happened to my phone. When I was browsing while I'm on bus. Then max pro m1 screen suddenly started flickering, then it's touch sense gone, then bigger lines started appearing. I'm thinking that screen backlit panel was damaged due to the Sunlight exposed on screen in the bus, (since i got my phone exposed to sunlight over 30 minutes).
& I thought that after battery 0% restarting phone may solve issue, but no. Screen was still flikering.
I got my phone rooted & i'm in custom rom. So obviously WARRANTY is void.
So, my suggestion to max pro m1 users... Plz... don't expose screen to Sunlight for more than 15 minutes.:crying:
In the past I did the mistake of buying a Chinese phone with MediaTek - it was a bad combination - GPS was not working, useless.
And all the crappy fixes you see online obviously don't work because MediaTek did not seem to care about this issue (I still don't understand how this issue is not widespread when so many MediaTek devices are sold)
I was thinking about buying the Nord 2 and was so disappointed to see it has the MediaTek chipset
But maybe it was fixed already?
Can someone provide a feedback on GPS? No review online addresses this part which makes it more suspicious, because these youtubers get the phones for free so they are biased
Chinese tiny brands (Haipai, Zopo, Elephone...) used to have problem with GPS.
Sometime it was linked to antennas inside the phones...
On older Android versions it can be linked to bad software (EPO settings...easy to correct with root access)
Well known companies like Garmin used Mediatek's in past years.
Serious brand hasn't problem with GPS on Mediatek's.
For exemple :
2m accuracy on Oppo A3
1m accuracy on Redmi Note 8 Pro
About Nord 2, I just installed GPSTest.
Weather : very cloudy
Inside my flat :
First fix tooks about 2 secondes.
64 satellites in view
48 in use
1m accuracy
Average SNR around 22/23db
Outside :
62 in view
48 in use
1m accuracy
Average SNR over 28db
This review tested the GPS : https://www.notebookcheck.net/OnePl...munication-and-gnss-wi-fi-6-in-the-nord-phone
Same here, fix speed and accuracy is very normal compared to other smartphones. No issues so far.
My Nord2 fix very quickly the signal outside and accuracy varies between 1m and 5m in the middle of the city.
