Yes hi, I know most people will recommend using Samfrew, but whenever I try buying a premium membership for Samfrew the payment won't go through, I don't know why.
So, I did a bit of searching around, and found this site, samsung-firmware.org, but before I go joining it and installing the december update onto my tablet I feel I should ask. Is this site trustworthy? Like is the firmware good from here? I don't want to flash it only to find it screwed up my tablet.
I wouldn't use them. Their Twitter account is suspended, NEWS page non updated for nearly one year, same with FB. I used https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ as a free user and was able to DL at around 3 meg/sec instead of the reported 15 kB/Sec. I defo would not BUY a premium membership from anyone.
As above - I'm sure most around here will reccomend Sammobile.com
Going to disagree with not joining premiem though - It was going to take around 5 hours to download my firmware on the free plan & I'm far too impatient for that, so I threw up the €5 for a month subscription and had it in less than 30minutes. So, depending on how fast you want your firmware, a premium account can be worth it.

Kind of strange that. I was able to download my file very 'fast' indeed without premium. After starting at 5 meg, it reduced to about 3 meg/sec

I have downloaded firmware at reasonable speeds fine for free before. Could have just been that on the day I was trying, the servers were busy. I'm not saying everyone should use premium, just that if your speed is suffering on any given day, it's worth throwing the €5 for a month's subscription. Plus, it helps the site, can't be cheap serving up all the bandwidth.

Any thoughts on an app called app planet? I've heard conflicting stories just trying to get some clarification. Thanks.
App planet is highly questionable on a moral level. It is just like the market app BUT only features hacked paid apps. If you are into "stolen" apps you will enjoy app planet but be wary as some apps may contain harmful code. What you see is not always what you get. Virus and data mining are always a risk.
I hope this answers your question. Proceed with caution!

Nevermind....
That is helpful... This is my first Android, just trying to learn as much as I can. And... Not destroying anything in the process.
My feelings... if someone can't support a developer and pay pocket change for their app that they are going to use, it's pathetic. If people feel $1-$5 is too much, maybe they shouldn't be spending money each month on a cell phone bill...
You're absolutely right... This was a conversation I had with someone last night who wanted to show off his rooted d2. I told him I was using a rooted TB and he tried to one up with this app. I felt it was a little odd to have all apps available for free and he doesn't read this site. Now I can relay the message.
The Amazon app store on the other hand offers a free app every day
i totally understand that stealing apps from applanet is wrong but i think there are still several good uses. i have used it a couple times to download apps that were no longer available in the market like rom gripper and also blocked apps like wireless tether. i also have used it to try out a paid app for more than 15 mins allowed by the official market. if i liked it, i went on the regular market and bought it! it DOESNT HAVE to be used for piracy only....

I agree with you 100%, but anyway if the OP would have read the forum guidelines he would know this is not even allowed to be discussed here, so im sure this thread will be closed very soon!

When did it change from 24 hours to 15 minutes? I noticed this the other day and think its stupid, 15 minutes isn't long enough to test some apps.

This was to help developers, I will agree, 15 minutes is a bit short. But it is needed because of the amount of people that would buy a paid app, use it for that day, then "return" it. That and i'm sure people were downloading the paid app, ripping the apk, then "returning" the app, but still having the full paid version.

The funny thing is that 15 minutes is enough time to rip the apk but not enough time to even check out an app to see if I like it or not. I support the devs but this is going to hurt devs I think. I no longer try any paid app without finding it on the web instead of the market.
No discussion of Warez.
Edited - problem solved for now. Just bought more bandwidth. Hopefully, that will last.
How long do you have and what is the next level of bandwidth cost?
Just tell me about another free server and how I can transfer all my crap there. I don't know how long I have. I just got their notice.
Just thought I'd throw this out there but it sounds you should sell some add space. It is a great site and the traffic is only going to increase, especially once you get all the "how too's" posted. Then you'll get return "business". You could finally make a little $ for your time and effort. Good job, keep up the good work. In the meantime, I'll figure out how to make a donation using paypal and hope others follow my example.
Sorry, I don't have any information for you on a different web hosting service.
How do I "sell" ad space?
Ya, the first day of launch it got 500 people visiting it. It's increasing daily. I basically used up my monthly bandwidth limit in less than a week's time. And my website doesn't even show up on google yet.
Check this out. I found it after a quick google search. There were tons of others but this one was very infirmative and offered several different methods of how to do it. Think about who your perspective clients are and I believe that your site will sell itself. Show them the numbers and make it attractive for those that get in on the ground level. Then as it gets more traffic you can change your method of billing or charge more, or even have some length to your contracts. Check this out:

Anyway to get it to work on the Htc amaze? Thanks in advance!

It should work fine, the amaze just isn't on the list of devices they will allow to download it from the market.. the only way to get it is by illegitimate means(or read the last paragraph).
Contacting the developer is totally pointless, this is the worst company to deal with in any way.. I spent $15 in game and never got what I paid for, months went by, multiple times they contacted me.. but never got the refund no matter what I did. I eventually gave up since I put in more work than it was worth for the $
I would recommend buying it with another compatible device(if you have one), copying the apk to the amaze(I hope I don't get in trouble, it isn't pirating if you paid), and it should work fine. I may have had to edit my build.prop, I can't remember. That is how I was playing it on my nook color(from my vibrant). But don't spend a dime in game unless you just don't want the money. Really, I would say avoid the game altogether, it is cool for a minute, but FAR from a product worth paying monthly for.
Downloaded but not working
I changed my build prop and it appeared on the market. Bought, installed completly, logged in created character, selected server, but then it tells me their's an update. Takes me to market and no update for the game. Weird cause theirs no compatibility issues, but ive been talking to Customer Service and they've been helping. Till they fix dont try the hack apk(does the same) or download it from market, hoping they officially release for our phone...ridiculous they dont.
Got it working!

This may be a bone head old news post, but it's something I just noticed. I usually check for the free amazon app on my phone each morning but forgot to this morning so I checked online. This is when I noticed a "Test Drive" button as pictured below. I havn't had a chance to play with it yet, but wondering if others have and if, in fact, this is nothing new and I just failed to notice.
Nothing new. .. But still good for those that dont want to install the app before hand and see how it is

so it's only certain apps then? Perhaps this is why I never noticed. Only time I use web based to to provide a link to someone on here so I don't spend much dwell time.

I figured I would come here for some sort of guidance about Tapatalk. I'm sure some of you remember way back when Tapatalk was a paid app. I bought it. And now there is a Pro version. Problem is, the app that I paid for is now free. I emailed customer support about it almost 2 weeks ago and still haven't received word back. Anybody else feel this pain or has anybody even been able to reach them about being compensated for it? Guess for now I have to resort to Aptoide to get what I want.

I might be missing something, but I don't understand the issue.
The app was good enough for you to pay for it when you paid for it, and no features have been removed. The only thing you're upset about is that now other people can get it free? It doesn't sound like you lost anything here. Why would they refund you when you had the app and used it far longer than anyone who is just using the free version now?
The license is lifetime so he has a right to want any refund.

i think he's upset that it's free now and he paid for services that r now i guess:good:
The issue is that he paid for a fully working product, now that product has been removed from the play store and replaced by a gimped version of another product that he possibly paid for as well. I myself find this extremely wrong from the company to do this. Instead they should have left the two versions as they were and add a new free gimped one, but they wanted the good ratings from the paid one for the free one... Such bad practice

They didn't remove anything.
They made the pro version free and the HD with tablet enhancements paid.
What features did they remove?

that shows you have no idea what you are talking about.
The original 2 version has been removed from the play store (can now only be accessed with some link from them) and replaced by a gimped version of the "tapatalk pro" application. I wont go into detail as to what is all gimped, as you can look t hat up yourself, but just so you wont post something like "whats removed again", for instance posting picturesin the "free" version goes only with watermark...

But the version you paid for (that you installed initially) still posts pictures without a watermark, even though it is not in the Play Store anymore, no?
If not, then I see your point.

Looks like I'll have to do that to get the full story.
I'm a little miffed too because I paid for it, but now I have to use their free version with ads, and if I want the ad free version I have to pay again? Thats messed up to me. Make your paid version free and add back the ads, then make a "new" version that you now have to pay for? So basically I can stick with the old version (which I am), but now I don't get any updates or new features. Yes they are greedy, there have been 1 or 2 app devs that ive encountered that have made changes where previous buyers would "lose out" in some way, but they came up with some kind of way for previous buyers to redeem the new or corrected version. These guys did not....I mean didn't they already have a free version? I know they at least allowed individual forums to create their own version they could distribute freely.
+1 I've paid for 2 versions of the app already, they just taking advantage now. I won't be paying for anymore versions. Came here thinking many more would be as annoyed but not so. Tapatalks own forum has some interesting info but little care from the devs. Poor form.

Yes, they won't even talk about it. Second time this year I've had a developer screw me over changes to a paid app. Then they complain about people not buying it.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using TapaTalk Pro
I don't mind buying better apps etc but all they ever do is rebrand the same app with a feature or 2 and then ask for more money. Almost like we're paying to beta test. The arguments about buying a new copy of windows are stupid. But if people must, XP -> Vista -> 7 were significant enough changes to warrant paying for a new product IMO.
I was fooled twice, my fault but won't happen a 3rd time. If they do happen to release something amazing, I'll obtain it from a 3rd party source unfortunately.
Well I don't think you will receive a refund. This isn't even logical enought to debate.
I remain of the view that the old version was much better with the themes, and everything else
