Downgrade from Android 10 to Android Oreo - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hey guys, I want to downgrade my S9 plus exynos variant from Android 8 to Android 10, because many people say camera processing was better on oreo as well as battery life.
I know some of you might disagree with me , but I wanna try it . Because trying never hurts , right ? ?
Please let me know how to do this , is it as easy as flashing through Odin ? Or there any complications of bootloader version restrictions ? If yes , any workarounds please.
Thanks you for reading this and helping me out.

you cannot downgrade back to Oreo 100%

Try flashing combination firmware for your model, and then flashing Oreo ROM on top of that.

Can i downgrade from Oreo to Nougat 100% accurately without any error!!!

hello there to all experts,
I read a lot and did not find 100% satisfactorily answer anywhere about downgrading android from Oreo to nougat via flashing Nougat firmware with help of SP Flash Tool.
Actually i have lenovo k8 Plus 3 GB variant. Unfortunately i upgraded it to Oreo vi OTA update but after that facing a lot problems. I have done flash while once i stuck in boot loop in nougat so i have all working firmware and drivers and sp flash tool too.
but when i looked in videos on you-tube and comment of users 99/100 told that their phone did not boot after flashing firmware and to make phone working again they had to flash Oreo again. some experts told that oreo support project treble so partition scheme has lil bit changed. some user says its boot loader is different and tht's y device did not turn on after downgrade. some says firmware should be of binary 2 boot-loader.
In short m not getting perfect technical answer . is there any technical reason behind downgrading Oreo to nougat or i can do it.
plz make it clear.:silly:
First reason couldn't be correct. because, project treble hasn't enabled even after Oreo update.

Android 10
I've looked into the lineageos gsi and it seems to work with very few issues.
I did have a bit of issue as the partitions disappeared and it now only sees barely enough room to install Android itself but otherwise it's quite good.

how to fix BlueFrag on Honor 9?

hello,
since the Honor 9 isnt getting any security fixes anymore what can we do
about the BlueFrag security hole?
https://www.andreafortuna.org/2020/...-critical-bluetooth-vulnerability-in-android/
It seems right now the only chance would be phussons android 10 GSI
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/how-to/android-10-t3993461
since there are no Custom Android 9 or 10 ROMS with latest Google Security Fixes - correct?
If someone figures out how to bypass the bootloader that huawei put, then we can start doing this roms thing, until then, unfortunate people like me are stuck at a locked bootloader.
Well i can technically do the whole process of flashing my board again using dc unlocker and then unlocking my bootloader while I'm at it, but that's too much hassle, man, plus you need some money to spare. It's not worth it anymore unless you absolutely have to, I'm just happy with a working phone lol
thanks for answering - i'm also stuck at EMUI 9.1
and with this method?
wouldnt it be free?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/how-to/downgrade-unbrick-honor-9-imei-fix-t3934363
then we could try some of theses ROMS out

Nope, u have to pay for it, and yeah, i'm waiting for them to find an exploit on the security that huawei put in their gpu turbo update, bec. that's the root of our problem, i heard that if you downgrade to a non-turbo firmware, it's gonna brick your device, so might as well be patient until the guys at dc phoenix figures out how to read bootloader codes on emui9.
Also I saw that openkirin has hw buttons fixed, i think it's the capacitive buttons fix that people often lose bec. of installing twrp, so i'm excited for that day that we can install openkirin roms

to unlock bootloader, try the potatonv method. I commented it here:
Using Honor 9 after EOL / Unlock bootloader / Flash custom rom
Hi everyone, since Huawei apparently dropped support for the Honor 9 a while ago, I'm getting concerned of my phone being a security risk as the Android security patch is of july 2019. As my 3-year-old phone is still working totally fine, I was...

Which ROM/Android version for a normal phone with gaming sometimes ?

Hi all, just went to grab a XZ1. Was wondering what is the best version / Rom for my use ? AFAIS it is A9, should i go to A10, 11 or 12 ? is a rom more stable / usable than others ? Are there common bugs ? Is this device performing well on GSI ?
I was thinking about A11 LOS on 1st place, but i'm unable to see if this is good. Also i need to change screen then unlock bootloader before, so do not hesitate to tell me if it is impossible.
Thank you, total noob on XZ1 who does not really want to read tons of posts
