Please help needed. Moved with my family to USA, have three LG V30 H930 EU phones. Got Mint Mobile sims( T-mobile network) unfortunately very bad reception in the area, not receiving calls. Mint Mobile supports Wifi calling however cannot find that option in the phone.( updated to Pie). is there any easy option for beginners to get wifi calling? Only found @seadersn guide , but it looks a bit complicated for me. Guys, any other options out there?

I have an unlocked H932 that I have been using in Mexico without any problem but after upgrading to Pie i can't find the option to enable VoLTE (my carrier supports the function VoLTE).
With Oreo there was no problem and VoLTE worked perfectly but now when making a call it changes from 4G to 3G, is it a known issue or is it just my phone?

I just asked my wife who recently updated her H932 to Pie, running it on Red Pocket GSMA (AT&T). She's not seeing the VoLTE option either.
My guess is T-Mobile took it out and only shows it when connected to the TMO network. Or they just enable VoLTE automatically on their network without displaying the option. Like most companies, carriers will do whatever it takes to avoid having to compete on price, so they're looking for any little at advantage they can come up with to differentiate and keep customers on their network.
FWIW, VoLTE never worked on Oreo either with my H932 on Red Pocket GSMA because AT&T reserves VoLTE for post paid customers. I can enable it on the phone, but it doesn't do anything. I am told it DOES work on Red Pocket GSMT (T-Mobile) which is a pretty good deal for such a low-priced service.
nevermind....

Yep, I'm on T-Mobile and I don't have the option either.
Sent from my LG-H932 using XDA Labs
Try messing with the operator parameter in build.prop, OPEN/NAO should unlock it, assuming VoLTE is available on the free market US998 version
Hi g8x have a wifi calling?
Yes, my US version does.
Just recently got the unlocked version with the dual screen bundle (LM-G850QM). I'm using it on Verizon and the Wi-Fi calling is working! Just FYI as Wi-Fi calling never works on Verizon with unlocked phone that didn't come from Verizon. I did already have a Verizon SIM.....
No such option on the Canadian model.
Not even VoLTE.
I'm on the Rogers network, btw.

Wi-Fi Calling (and other features such as VoLTE) are supported by the LG G8X so long as your carrier has enabled them.

I find it odd that you don't have the option fir VoLTE Or VoWi-Fi... Rogers (at least last time I checked) supported all the IMS features, being VoLTE, ViLTE, VoWi-Fi, and ViWi-Fi. Is your phone purchased from Rogers?

Mine has it on Bell.
True, Rogers support all the services, but they seem to operate on a white-listing model. If the device is not in their allow list, those features will not work.
Another example is the OnePlus phones, same thing.
But usually I see the option but it just wouldn't work. On my phone, it doesn't show at all. Unless LG software hides it automatically, I'd say its not there in the firmware.
This is an unlocked carrier-free Canadian model, not a Rogers phone. Rogers don't actually offer it at all.

Aaahhh.... That makes sense. I tried porting a HTC 10 from Bell to Rogers and had the same issue. They told me it was because the phone wasn't on their whitelist of allowed devices, even though I had the service working under Bell. I'd be willing to bet that the IMS Config file indicates that its to hide VoLTE and VoWi-Fi unless the network supports it. You can try using *#546368#*850# and see if it gives you options for VoLTE in the hidden menus. Likely under IMS Settings.
I can vouch for the G8X on Telus. It does support VoLTE and VoWi-Fi.
When the LG G8X was released Rogers did not carry it, I don't think the carry G8 either, that's how much the LG brand fell, it's only fanboys or people like who gave LG another chance to do better but as you can see they are not doing better, just going on the expectation if they build it suckers will buy it.

Dear,
Apologies if I put the topic in the wrong place. I bought the LG V60 in a European web shop. (alza shop) But the problem arises with the 5G network the device simply does not have the option "5G network mode" There is only automatic and 2G 3G and LTE. I contacted LG myself and got the following answer.
"There are technical dependences here. These dependencies are different per country.
The V60 is 5G capable (for a limited number of bands though) but it does not work for all providers in all countries.
This depends on the V60 suffix as well. If 5G could not be fully tested for a specific provider it is sometimes switch off in software.
In the Netherlands for example 5G on V60 only works for the KPN provider at the moment (Android 10).
If you put in a different SIM card (so not KPN) the device will not show the 5G option.
This situation will change in the future with SW update"
Is there help here and does anyone have any information related to this? Has anyone had a problem like this and has solved it without waiting for the software update ?

Hi!
In Switzerland is the same: the v60 has 5g active only for swisscom operator. I have it now with yallo/sunrise network and it doesn't show any 5g option.
I tried to flash stock rom from poland but still no effect. Probably the limitation is on the radio part of the rom.
Maybe someone here with more knowledge could shed some light on what is the best approach to take...
I was wondering if just by simply unlock the bootloader (now possible on the european version of the v60) we could get a workaround for unlock the radio limitations...
Hello i have imported an LG V60 TM to greece. It is my second time that i import a lg v60 to greece. The first time was 2020, and back at the time that lg v60 TM was having 5G in my county (i dont know how..) now the second time i bought a TM model, i have not all 4g bands and i am missing 5G. The TM is as far as i know app unlocked. What i can do to enable 4g+ or lte or 5g to my lg?
It is now updated to A13.
Thank you all.
Do you by any chance have the model, rom, or any other data from youur previous phone that had 5G?
I'm also in Greece on Cosmote and haven't found a way yet to get 5G on my v60 (TM originaly, but converted to EA). I have tried 6+ roms (v10,11,12) without success. The TM rom might show 5G on the top right but NetMonster says its actually 4G. If you have some luck plese update the thread. Thank you.
No I don't remember the model the rom was definitely TM original. But the main difference from the one I have now. It's that mins now has something that tries to activates network but it failes. And then I did not had that.
Also can you share info about your lg60? Mine says it has LTE but I only can reach 30mbps in Athens . I can see band 3,7,20 but I don't think volTE is working.
I get similar speeds as you in 4G, maybe double in good cell towers. VoLTE, VoWifi never worked after trying many posts on this forum, with rooted device. I decided to stay in stock and check for solutions later. I think I should start looking for JigsawMobile moded modem files and if this doesn't work reinstall my original TM rom backup to get the Android 13 OTA. If anything comes up I'll post updates.
What information would you like from my V60?
