how are you running Android 10? - LG V30 Questions & Answers

Installed Havoc, and Lineage, and ended up getting random reboots, and wifi issues.
Tried restoring the modem from oreo - didnt work
tried the fix that copied the wlan whatever file - didn't work either
tried the haumeakernel - nope...
how did you manage to get Android 10 working well? what am I missing here?

What's your variant? I've h930 and i used Los 17.1 for a very long time without any bugs or issues. Los 17.1 is the best and stable aosp rom i've ever tested.

[Radio][Modem][5.X.X] Updated Modem and radio files from oxygen os

I thought I might share the updated radio, modem and environment files from oxygen os. So I made this flashable zip. I have tested it on my device and working with cm12 nightly right now. So hope it will work on yours too.
Link: Download Whole Firmware
Only modem
Mirror:
Full firmware
Only Modem
tested os with this firmware: CM12 nightly, Blisspop, CM12.1, Oxygen OS, Temasek rom, euphoria, Tugapower V5
Note: There is some changes I noticed. there is new file called reserve4.img which is being flashed in "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/reserve4". And also the previous sdi.mbn file from "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/dbi" is missing. Now I checked the updater script in oxygen os and noticed that its not removing the old sdi.mbn. Its just installing the reserve4.img as an addon. So I kept both the files in the flashable zip and it seems to work good. No issue so far.
Caution: DO NOT USE IT WITH CM11/CM11s/or ANY KITKAT ROM!
It will brick your device. Only flash on lolipop based roms. After you flash this, if you want to go back to cm11/cm11s, flash the latest cm12 nightly first and then install the cm11s files.
Are you saying that cm12 boots fine with this firmware? Sorry I don't understand well your post.

yes! using cm12 nightly 02/04 release with this firmware right now
But then if you want to go back to the old modem Cyano ... How should we do ??? But by flashing this new modem, you have to flash even the Fix for Proximity Sensor?

For me, I'd say that the signal strength is more stable than it is stronger... but I do feel it's a tad bit stronger. Could be placebo.

Based on this, Oxygen.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59892906
Flashed it and all working great so far. Anyone else noticed that the capacitive buttons light brighter? It's definitely noticeable in a dark room.
works fine here on cm12.1 04042015 unofficial!
for get the signal are necessary only 5 second! fastest than cm12 modem!
might be able to get away with changing the tz check script in the cm update zip if you've flashed this.
if youre using a custom build then might get your dev to change the tz version check to at least 1.09 rather than specific as the new is 1.39
Thank for sharing this modem.
I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect or the OxygenOS modem really works better.
Anyway it feels better and thanks for that.
Signal is def more stable!!
I just flashed it over the last nighlty blisspop http://downloads.blissroms.com/Blis...lissPop-v2.3-bacon-OFFICIAL-20150403-0935.zip - and it's working like a charm ...
Yeah the signal is more stable and faster to lock LTE here, and also 3G ... i can notice when i loose wifi and it changes to mobile data plan ... let's see if keeps like this.
Btw, everytime i flash new blisspop i should flash this modem / radio again !? right !?
flashed it over katinatez's Temasek rom.. so far no issues...

[ROM]T550/555 Deodexed, rooted, debloated, deknoxed, Xposed

What's this?:
It's basically a rom for the SM-T555 I created for myself to use Xposed.
UPDATE: SM-T550 version added
Supersu v2.56
Xposed v75
Features:
XXU1AOJ1 Base_update 8.10.15
Deodexed
Deknoxed
Lightly debloated so as not to lose functionality.
Rooted with latest Supersu v2.56 binaries.
Xposed framework.
Install:
Install via TWRP recovery.
No need to wipe, but if you want a minimal system then its advisable to wipe DATA in recovery.
First boot will take around 10 mins.
Disclaimer:
As ever you flash this at your own risk, its up to you to ensure you have a backup with TWRP and/or the stock firmware to hand just in case the Hells Angels decide to ride into to town and kill your device
NOTE: I'm not really going to support this ROM with updates and such. It is what it is, and its up to you to modify it as you wish, more debloat e.t.c., take it or leave it, just leave out the whinging and whining.[emoji14]
UPDATE : New firmware base uploaded. Xposed updated to latest version v75.
Minimum requirement is to be running the same stock build XXU1AOJ1 before install.

Your links seem to be down - they're both status 404 for me.
Also, while I'm at it, do you by any chance have any *.pit files available for SM-T555? I've been wanting to try out the 6.0.1 MM version for it but I can't flash any of the 5.0.2 (that have received the update to 6.0.2) or 6.0.1 ROMs because my T555 is for SEB region and there for any of the ROMs that are 6.0.1 ready, can't be flashed because of invalid EXT4 errors.

Links fixed. I have the pit file but not sure that's your issue.
Have had no such issues flashing other region firmware.
Using the Russian version on UK model no problem.
Thanks for the quick response, I'll check out your ROM when I get back. Also, I'll give different region ROMs a try again... maybe the images I've been flashing were corrupt(I tried flashing VOD region firmwares for 5.0.2 & 6.0.1 and Odin failed to flash both), since it complained about mismatching sizes, I just wrote it off as certaint different regions having different partition sizes.

Been using this since mid-August, so I thought I'd leave a bit of feedback .... I have had no problems whatsoever with the ROM - works great. Back when I last posted here I initially wanted to get MM on it because I've gotten used to it on my Nexus, but with Xposed already bundled in, this was just a one up in comparison to a MM ROM.
@ashyx - I have a stock rooted XXU1A0J1 build (the one you reference as necessary), on a T550.
I tried the T550 ROM, wiped cache/dalvik/data after flashing it.
Touchscreen works fine, but no joy on wifi. I can see networks, but not connect. I reset my hotspot AP to open (no encryption) temporarily, still no success. The wifi just shows "connecting" for an extended period of time, then "connecting" disappears briefly, then it reattempts connecting. Eventually I get a "Failed to obtain IP address" message.
I booted a Nexus 7 2013, it instantly connected to the hotspot, had web access.
I restored my backup from TWRP, network came up immediately (hotspot set back to encrypted).
Any ideas? Something broken in the t550 rom I downloaded?
Thanks!
is there a way to remove the "loud audio" pop-up screen that you have to comfirm every time you turn up the volume? this is the worst part of thr sm-t550 because i adjust the audio alot.
i heard its part of the asop but is there a way to hide popup and auto comfirm it so you can turn audio up without the spam?

There's an xposed module by pyler available in the repository.

Any chance one of these will be developed for the SM-P355? There does not seem to be a single ROM out there for it

WIFI issues on oreo Roms

Hey guys,
right now there are lots oft oreo Roms supporting mido, but everytime i flashed one (like cardinal which is working for many users) i cant connect to my home wifi network. It tries to connect, then the signal is dropping and it says "saved" again. On other phones running oreo this wifi is working perfectly. I already disabled IPv6 and it didnt help. So I hope anyone knows how to fix it!
Same here, i had problems connecting to hidden WiFi in every oreo rom i tested. By the way what firmware did you flash when installing your Rom
I have this problem ...happens with Oreo and sometimes with nought
Just tried to install Pixel Experience, Aosp Extended and LineageOs, still same wifi problem with all roms.
Has anyone been able to fix it?
Same here! hope someone gets a fix

Yeah, I have flashed firmwares since they were extracted and posted here. By the way, I also noted that none of that firmware has helped me with the signal drop issue that was reported since LineageOs 14.1

Camera blinking green on recording video after flashing LineageOS

Greetings,
On my S9+ (Exynos) camera blinking green when recording video after flashing custom ROM. On lower FPS (30) blinking slower. After first try of video recording camera still blinking until restarting app. What can I do?
Thank you in advance
Same thing is happening to me. I've used LOS 15.1 6/12 and 6/19 with the same problem. I updated to the latest stock ROM to get past the black camera problem, and now this. I don't see a fix for this listed in the next nightly either.

Thanks for the link. Very helpful for the stock rooted ROM as well as the firmware and vendor flashes. I have gone to this for now as well, at least until folks report no issues with the camera in LOS. I use this for a camera more than a phone.

So what's the most functional way to get an H932 working?

Hey all,
I picked up an H932 and the rooting process seemed easy enough. I have TWRP installed and I got through the whole tutorial without a hitch.
However, I've read elsewhere of people upgrading to different versions of stock before installing a custom rom? I guess I'd still be on 10d, and I'm thinking to install Havoc OS unofficial as it runs great on my H930.
Edit: Nevermind I guess. I installed 20s fullstock and that worked fine, rebooted into recovery and installed Havoc. Don't really have a way to test it though.

The problem was fingerprint sensor didn't work right on custom ROMs if you stayed on Nougat after root. You had to upgrade back to Oreo before installing custom ROMs.

Yeah I did some more reading then found the 20s thread. I installed 20s and went straight to Havoc.
I need to do some testing though.
