I have been using the Samsung Galaxy A10 for 10 months now. Currently I'm facing battery issue (Discharging at irregular rates) and heating issues (On the screen - top - at the camera). I know this is a hardware problem. But , my battery has lost it's life over the age. My battery health is only 87% approx. 2987 MaH is left. But , the heating issue is going out of hand and it's crazy! It gets heated up for simple tasks like browsing on chrome watching a couple videos and so on on. The temperature is way too high average it's 35°C but it goes up to 45°C. It's like i can boil a egg on my phone. So I've been thinking of getting a new battery. So i taught why can't i use the Samsung Galaxy A50 battery if it fits. Have anyone tried this before or has anyone changed their A10 battery ? Please let me know.
What's the limit ? I mean everything has a limit and so does the circuit of a phone. Do you think it's safe using a 5000 Mah battery?
The question is will it fit?
Yeah , you are right. I've been searching for a higher capacity battery and i think A10S battery will fit. It's 4000 mah and where i live i can find it for less than $15. At the same time , i think i must act fast. My problem is kinda worsening. The phone gets hot for no reason at all! I'm afraid that it'll burst. Do you think that battery abuse maybe the reason? Draining the battery to 0% like almost everyday , using low quality charger , etc., please someone let me know ASAP I'm afraid!

I made this thread so that we can discuss about batteries and battery temperatures and how can we make our batteries more sustainable , i recently got my battery dead after 9 months of use so now im having a new battery. (My phone use is HARDCORE)
Recently ive noted that mobile is getting hot so i started to monitor my battery , im getting normal temperature in standby arround 30°C-33°C and when i normally use the phone it reaches upto 35°C-38°C but while playing games it starts getting above 40°C - sometimes 43/44°C and it feels hot too.
So i was just curious to know if there are people in xda who monitor their battery regularly. It would be good if everyone will post their battery temperatures so that everyone of us can have an idea of battery temperatures.
The app i use to monitor battery is "Battery Indicator Pro".
Thanks.
About the same on my infuse

But android phones means gaming to me, so i dont care about temp now ;D

Mine also goes upto 42°C
I have yuphoria on stock android. Its temp is 35c when idle , during normal usage 38-39c and while watching YouTube for 15-20 min it goes to 40-41c
It mostly depends on the device cooling mechanism.
Mine's Redmi Note 10. Unlike other phones, that come with at least copper heatsinks, mine literally got nothing but open aluminium sheets & a polycarbonate outer cover.
Stock MIUI temps are very bad. You can feel at your fingers radiating warm air.
After I unlocked & use a rom like lineage (without any bloat & heavy apps), temps really got down stable.
On hot summer, on standby, it usually sits at 32-33⁰c. On idle usage, it goes upto 38⁰c when I use social media. And 40-41⁰c when I watch YouTube at 720p. I think these are good numbers despite not having a cooling heatsink mechanism.
I go screen off at 100F.
If you're getting high temperature shutdowns you are at risk of damaging the device...
100% charge, high current drain, high temperatures, back to back high current drain/ charge cycles with no rest inbetween, discharging past 20%, charging with screen on... will take their tolls.
A battery should last at least a year and I'm a very heavy user. However if your SOT is higher than 14%@hour you are killing the battery. This type of Li doesn't like constant high current drain especially at temperatures above 102F.
Any battery swelling is a failure, replace it immediately.
Never charge below 72F, a minimum start temperature of 82F is better. Low temperature charging can cause Li plating which will permanently degrade the cell.
Hi, does anyone happen to have this phone model and facing issues?
The battery life is non-existent for me (dies in hours) and the phone heats up incredibly quickly. I did head down to Docomo to check if there is an issue but the technicians said that the battery is perfectly fine and the phone heats up cos its waterproof and hence doesn't have good ventilation.
Anyone has any luck with fixing these issues?
battery drain
Hi!
Yes i had the same problem my battery went down from 100% to 5-6 % in the matter of about 3-4 hours.I did find the problem (at least in my case) the native "mail" app draws all the power out constantly looking for new mail.I stopped the program (couldn't delet because i'm not rooted yet) and all the problems are gone. Now i go from 100% at 8 in the morning to about 25% at 8 at night with moderate use.Try it i hope it will help!
I have similar battery problem on my phone F-02E and I believe it is the tegra 3 processor. Itt gets so hot and heat drains the battery. When mine heats up to 46 degree, it restarts; I really hate this behaviour.
The phone would have been amazing otherwise.
Anyhow, I will never buy a Tegra phone again, at least not in the forseeable future.
I'm thinking of buying a F-02E just for gaming when I'm on the road, as I want something smaller than a tablet that has a tegra 3 processor (I have THD games purchased from my old tab). Can anyone comment on gaming performance?

Don't make the mistake. Why do you think the price is so low even with the specs. The main problem is that the heat distribution was not well made so the phone gets very hot very quickly and when it is around 38 degrees, you cxan feel it throttling and by the time the temperature gets to 43, it starts restarting.
Afterthought; the scernario I described is when one is connected to 3g internet. If internet is turned off, I think one can play game for a while before it gets hot. However, I will not recommend the phone. Try instead Sharp SH-06E. It is not so expensive anymore.

Hello, we have mutual problems about docomo f10d , actually im finding Online shop to buy new battery for my F10d Phone, cuz my battery drained and started to bubbles can you recommend me some stores that available In asian countries? i can't go to japan by myself even when im with somebody , i just need a battery PLS REPLY
Hello, phones already, let's set clearly , very hot when you use it normally while charging (~45C° NOW in summer) then when playing , app report about 50C but it feels like much more... Those sorry of exploding galaxys are worrying me. What do you think?
Constantly running the phone @ high temperatures will probably shorten the life of the battery a bit, how much is hard to say. Does it shorten the life of the CPU or other components ? Maybe. But lets face it many (most ?) people change phones every year or two these days so that's not really an issue. You're more likely to notice the battery thing if you do it often enough.
Me personally, I don't do anything heavily CPU intensive with the phone while it's charging. I mean, how easy is it to do whatever it is you have to do with the phone (play a game or whatever), then throw it on charger when you're done & not using the phone ?
With the poor battery of the SII, I prefer avoiding such situation : playing with kill battery in 3h or less, so unless I'm closer to full charge, I'll play will charging. This to avoid ultra low battery at any time. I'm not concerned by battery dying, I'm concerned by the explosion as said...

As you said, high temperatures will shorten battery life.
An important aspect is that you shouldn't fully discharge the battery before charging it.
Charging from 50% to 100% will permit you about 1500 recharges.
Charging from 0% to 100% will permit you about 500 recharges.
Hi everybody,
I just bought this smartphone some time ago. Ive been pretty satisfied with its overall perfomance, the screen quality, the stock android it runs. Coming from a 512mb RAM device i couldnt be more satisfied regarding this smartphone pros.
However, I simply cant stand this smartphones battery life. Its absolutely awful, dropping to 50% in 2 hours with moderate use(Chatting on FB messenger, browsing the internet, listening to music). Even if i use the smartphone lightly(only chatting), the battery still drops awfully fast. I dont consider it normal at all, because my other smartphone with 1400 mAh battey lasted MUCH better, dropping only to 70/75% battery if i used it the same way I use this phone.
Seems like no matter how lightly I use this smartphone, the battery keeps dropping like i never seen. Any help there? Ive bought this phone 5 days ago, could the battery still be "asleep"? Any suggestions?
Thank you in the advance.
What does battery manager say? In settings? It could be a wakelock or something.

under battery or power in settings then usage
and see what is using all your juice
So I have the Cell Standby eating 31%, the Wi-Fi eating another 31%, and finally the Phone Idle eating 26%. Screen comes far behind with a 7% usage. Is it normal ?
If I flash the stock ROM provided by Wiko, could the battery life increase ? I'm thinking on it , can it solve my problem ?
Hello everyone. My alpha has got serious battery drain 1 hour use and by use I mean WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook... And from 100% it goes to 70. So, is there a way to improve the battery life or is it because the phone sucks? I don't know if it's still a good phone in 2017.. Thanks anyway!!
WTH 30 % for one hour is pretty normal
Is it also normal that my phone turns off at 18% or sometimes 5%?
The battery for this phone is rubbish however it sounds like yours is faulty. I had the same symptoms after about 8 months with my stock alpha and replaced the battery with an unofficial from Amazon. Works fine now and has lasted much better than the Samsung official.
Samsung really screwed the pooch with this phone. CPU, screen and aluminium body (indestructible) are great but terrible battery and no software update is a real middle finger. It did not ship enough units so they think **** the people who actually bought it.
Absolutely right. Thanks a lot.
Try PolarCell made in Germany , 2000mAh , new technology . It's great for me . All the best .
I also replaced my battery already. One year of use.
The symptoms were the same, it turned off at 15% or sometimes 5%... It also charged itself faster, a sign that the cells were not in good condition anymore.
It seems that in addition to have little capacity Alpha battery also has a short durability.
I preferred an original battery (13€)... I should buy another just in case, soon they will disappear.
Well if you are rooted, you might try to reset the battery stats. This helped me a bit. But overall the 8 core and the AMOLED are sucking the small battery pretty hard ...
