Hi all,
I just got the Verizon Galaxy S4 and I acidentally updated to ME7. Needless to say I was ecstatic to hear that it was getting safestrap to bypass that pesky locked bootloader. Any who, one of the first roms I tried out was the Google Rom Edition which I found here. I followed the tutorial but I'm having trouble with the mobile data. It always shows a good signal but sometimes it just doesn't work. I tried the mobile data fix on the thread but no luck. Hope someone with a little more experience can help.
You have to go to mobile network settings which should open LTE on/off app, which allows you to toggle what network mode and use gsm/CDMA auto for 3G only and CDMA/LTE for 4g preferred. If it ever quits just switch to something else then switch back.

Hello,
i've been using Omnirom for quite some time now, but i'm experiencing problems with my mobile data connection.
when I am using a touchwiz based rom, like Revolution HD, everything works fine. but when i am using a ASOP based rom like cynogenmod or Omnirom it doesn't work.
my mobile phone indicated that it has H+ connectivity, but no data can be transferred, apps like whatsapp and facebook seem to be function fine, but when i'm using apps like youtube or snapchat, it won't load.
could someone please help me with this issue? I'm willing to donate to the developer of the rom, but my mobile data is essential.
[Q] Set. Mobile Network -> "Enable always-on mobile data" CM11 (Phoning Home)
Hi,
seems that since Android 4.0 the setting Menu -> Settings -> Mobile Network -> "Enable always-on mobile data" is no longer available (or was this an HTC setting?). Is there a substitute or was it simiply forgotten to transfer to 4.0? My problem is that even with no apps running (and no traffic in netlog viewer)Android is establishing a internet connection as soon as I turn mobile data on:
- Steps to reproduce the problem
1. Disable Auto-Sync & enable background data restriction
2. Disable Wifi, disable mobile data
3. Enable mobile data
- What happened.
1. Internet connection is established directly, no data is transferred (only keep alive packages are sent)
- What you think the correct behavior should be.
1. Internet connection should only be established when needed (many users pay for every connection attempt)
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, but it also happens on a Alcatel Idol Mini (Android 4.2.2) and another low end phone.
According to forums and blogs, the option was confirmed for Android 2.3. It's pictured here: " guides.virginmedia.com/en/topic/htc_sensationxe/how_do_i_disable_and_enable_data_services.html ".
BTW: I disabled all server-driven notifications (mail sync, time sync). Even used AFWFirewall/Droidwall, Xposed Framework & Xprivacy. All showed no data packages traffic, however as soon as mobile data was turned on I got the "connection keep alive" headers from com.qualcomm.timeservice. However, none of the tools were able to stop or log the initial header requests, before com.qualcomm.timeservice got active. So I assume it's a kernel / root android system application.
Would be great if someone has more infos. Are all Androids establishing a connection directly after mobile data was enabled?
Attached is the connection log from AFWFirewall. Seems that com.qualcomm.timeservice is involved and phoning home. What's frightening is that it connects to 173.194.32.238, which seems to be a facebook IP:
How can we block that crap?
Anyone who is using CM and using mobile data who can confirm or falsify here?
According to Google this is not about Android, but it would be great to know if this happens for CM in general, just the S4 build or just Qualcomm devices.

So there's noone of the many users in this subforum who is using Cynogenmod and could verify if the phone trys to establish an internet connection when mobile data is being turned on (showing an E or G at the right upper corner)?
I passed by Galaxy S6 Edge to Galaxy S6 Edge+ and I do not work more calls and notifications remotely with Gear S .
Before when I walk away from the range of the bluetooth with the Galaxy S6 Edge could perfectly to have call forwarding and notifications, now with Galaxy S6 Edge+ I get the message that you can not make the call diversion etc etc. connect to Bluetooth.
You have done the same experience?
You know the reasons and solutions?
Thanks for the reply

Same with me. Moved from the note 4 to S6 Edge+ and once disconnected from blue tooth it fails to connect remotely...
I was having this issue at first but I got it to work, and now it's fine everytime.
Make sure the watch is on, and connected via Bluetooth. Then in the Gear S app, select "remote connect" so that it turns the option on. Then go to "auto call forwarding" and turn that on.
Then walk away until the Bluetooth disconnects. It will appear that remote connection is not working. Then walk back to your phone until Bluetooth reconnects. Then turn off remote connect (without turning off auto-call forward). Then turn remote connect back on. Then go to auto call forward and turn it on again. Viola, works.

Worked for me. Bummer, sorry!
Still works perfect. Gear S + Galaxy Edge+ (T-Mobile)
Perfect! "Magically" now it works perfectly diverting calls and notifications remotely.
Try it yourself, probably there has been some change in the server Samsung with admission at the service of the Galaxy S6 Edge +
Can people confirm that it is working now?
