Total Available Int Storage

Hello All,
Just a quick one, hope someone can tell me there readouts.
My S3 is 16GB Model. Why does the phone only report 11.35GB of Total space for internal storage. Is this normal as my calculation lead me to believe that after formatting and OS there is still a few GB UN-acounted for.
Please let me know if im wrong.
Thanks All
Syl
Please let me know guys...and girls
Can anyone tell me what there total internal storage space is please?
Thanks
The remaining is shared for system partitions.

So can I assume that your answer is confirming that you have approx 11.5GB registered as total space available?

Insufficient Storage Available problem

Hi guys
First problem for a while. Had ES File Explorer installed, it wanted to update and after that it had the error message in my thread title.
Suggestions on how to sort it? Running a 32gb TP with plenty of storage left.
Thanks in advance

1.24gb left. At the moment they are on that memory not the 'sd' partition.

That's nearly twice what I have, download any app from play store or several if that goes ok . The problem is with ES which I would uninstall reboot then reinstall.
Let me know what happens.

Zte nubia z5s mini - storage space

Hello, I have a problem with my Nubia z5s mini. I have a ROM in which I just have 2GB for installing apps. Anybody knows any ROM with more space for apps or any way to change this space? Because the phone has 16GB ROM and now I have just 2GB for apps and it is not enough for me. I know I can move apps to SD card but it's not enough.
Thank you!!
If you are able to root the phone you may not need another ROM.

Yes, the phone is already rooted but I don't know if I can change the space for apps.
Okay, you have a number of options now to be able to free space. First, where did you get the 16GB number from?

From the phone specs
Oh I understood it as you had a ROM that took up 16 GB space, but in reality you have a total of 16 GB space on your phone?

I have 2 partitions: one of 10 GB and another one of 2 GB (devoted to install apps). Then, I can´t install more than 2GB in apps
Hmm that sounds odd. What's the 10GB version called?

Do you mean the name of the ROM? it is CyanogenMod 12.1 11th August 2015, android 5.1.1
Both partitions of storage are internal storage. Apart from that, I have a micro SD card.
I was thinking what the 10gb partition is called?

¨Internal Storage¨, the same as the 2GB partition.
Anybody knows something?
Interesting that the system partition is that big. Anyway, download the app DiskUsage and figure out what's taking most space in the /media/Android/data folder. (And other places too).

Do you know how to change it to make the device install the apps in the 10GB partition?

Wait, didn't you say that the 10GB partition was the system partition? Or am I understanding it wrong?
Internal storage
I have this problem too, i don't want sd card (grow) partition in internal storage, is there any way to increase the volume of data partition?

32Gb storage now 16gb?

Like title says.
After flashing Xpower 5, I realised my internal storage is now only 16gb.
It was working fine, but went to try that kryptonian Rom, failed to I restored back to Xpower.
But apparently, not my internal storage is missing 16gb.

Saved my life, thanks!
I had this issue, but fixed it with a clean install. Now, a week or two later it's back. Any ideas on how to permanently fix this?

This time, I actually got by with just doing a restart. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I might have to use it in the future.
