Like title says.
After flashing Xpower 5, I realised my internal storage is now only 16gb.
It was working fine, but went to try that kryptonian Rom, failed to I restored back to Xpower.
But apparently, not my internal storage is missing 16gb.

Saved my life, thanks!
I had this issue, but fixed it with a clean install. Now, a week or two later it's back. Any ideas on how to permanently fix this?

Using TWRP to resize the /system partition seemed to fix mine, maybe try that?

This time, I actually got by with just doing a restart. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I might have to use it in the future.

Is it formatted to exFAT ? If so then it needs formatting to FAT32

Well assuming that is the problem then either format it on your pc with a card reader, or flash back to stock, then it should be recognized, format it, then back to cm, .......don't forget to back the card up!
Might give that a try and see what happens, cheers

before i flash back to stock, do you know why my computer wont mount the card either?

Hello everyone. I bought my sgs2 pre-rooted and have always had the problem of what looks to be an internal SD card partition. I read thought the thread below as well as a few others that say unmounting/remounting the SD card should fix the problem, however, I am under the impression that is for the External SD card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1640983
When I go to “Setting–>Storage” I have the following:
Internal Storage
Total Space 1.97 gb
Available 1.21 gb
Internal Storage
Total Space 11.36 gb
SD[Card
Total Space 14.83 gb
Anyone have any thoughts? I have plenty of space on my phone, however, it seems that everything I install is being put into that first Internal storage space. I need to get this internal "partition" removed to have the full amount of space (16gb) of internal storage.
ps: This was a fresh AOKP flash after clearing all data and factory setting twice before flashing.
I see nothing wrong here. You are supposed to have a 2gb partition for apps to install to. If you try and change that you are asking for problems.

So everything is Okay?? Whenever I go to camera (on AOKP's 8/30 JB) it says "SD card is running out of space". Also, I do not have that many apps installed, some apps won't be able to save data.
Flash back to stock rooted and see if you have the same issue

Stock ICS? as in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746181
I had this before and had same issues. I flashed to CM9/AOKP ICS and had same problem, but was able to save location where Camera saved images.
But you don't need more internal storage. That has nothing to do with your problem.
I would flash it back to stock gingerbread and see if you still have the same problem.

The problem with phone memory as in apps saving/camera or to see if the storage page looks any different than what it does?
Also, Are there any extra steps needed to go from JB to GB? I have never flashed down from a newer version before.
Thanks for the help Pirateghost

Thanks Snipe. When I had ICS 7.3 aokp i was able to change that, but could not find a way to fix it in JB. One thing after the next I started getting paranoid that I fluxed something up... Thanks for the re-assurance. I may just wait until a newer build is out for AOKP.
Thanks for the help everyone, I apologize for spamming the forums. I have been avid reading these since I started flashing back in May, I guess everyone has to create a username eventually.

Just updated to this new rom and sd card don't show my pics thats's on the card. It was fine when i was on the 1.0. Can anybody give me some trouble shooting tips. I'm using the latest trwp and this is the only issue i'm having with this rom.
Usually means card is corrupt and needs to be reformatted. Can you mount to pc?

Hello everyone,
I had previously rooted my original evo a while back and recently got the new evo lte, and thought "Oh I can root this all by myself." Big mistake
Okay, so, I made sure to unlock it using the HTC dev. Then downloaded Rom Manager and tried to put the new cm10 rom but for some reason it was coming up with sd errors. So, I looked up what could possibly be the cause behind that, which I thought was the previous Rom Manager data from the old evo. So I deleted it and well had the same problem. I also made sure to do the Hboot fastboot thing too.
Then I download the TWRP recovery and things took a turn for the worst. Now my external/internal storage is unreadable to twrp, ironically so, I can still use the USB for the sd.
I tried other roms, but it won't load them
Now, my os is gone and I just don't know what to do. At very least I can still use fastboot, but I really just unsure how I can well make it work.
so stat wise it says
tampered/unlocked
S-ON RL
Hboot 1.15
Radio 1.05.11.0606
OpenDSP-v25. 1.032.0405
I am also running a mac.
So, if anyone can set me in the right direction, that would be super.
For one reason or another some users have problems flashing cmx and corrupting internal. Boot to twrp and mount as USB then format it in OSX.

Thank you for replying. So I want to mount the internal storage and format it in Fat32?
Also, when I go to the mounting menu, it will not let me press "Mount Internal".
However, I can mount internal storage using USB storage method, I don't get it...
Selecting mount as usb storage is all you need to do, at the very least you should be able to do that, then format, fat 32 is the default so there is no need to specify fat 32
Format the top one, correct?
Sorry for the late reply, that should be it
No, Thank you.
So, I did reformat. It still cannot find the internal storage/SD storage.
So, can I push RUU through fastboot to return it to a functional state. All this for Jellybean, haha
I had almost the same thing happen to me over the weekend for the first time. I was about to reformat it in twrp and that worked great for me. So give that a try before you run a ruu

I already reformat the internal and it made no different. I also cannot reformat within twrp, it just says cannot find and fails.
I think I've misunderstood, if you reformatted and can not access memory from aosp Rom try flashing the sd rewrite fix
swap internal/external links

No no, I apologize. This is all terribly confusing.
So I will just fastboot it through terminal
/fastboot-mac flash zip blablah.zip
right?

I don't know exactly know how I am going to do that, since the recovery does not recognized the internal/external storage. When I mounted via USB and put the zip on there, I cannot find it within the recovery.
Odd, after reformatting you should be able to use the internal again

Yes. Sadly I don't think reformatting did anything. At this point, I am unsure what to do. Can I even still flash a RUU?

I'm coming into this late but I recently experienced corrupted internal storage while running cmx as well. While I could not choose to mount the external storage, I somehow was able to select that bubble when in the restore menu. I restored an old meanrom and it rebuilt the internal storage despite losing the data. Not sure if this info will help you at all, but figured I would share. Good luck.

No, thank you for input. Sadly, since this a very new phone, I have nothing to restore it to. As, I was unable to make a back up for this all happened. But I am sure if I did have one it would get me out of this rut.

So when you flash a new rom from twrp, what happens? Are you flashing the kernel beforehand too since you are s-on?

When I was able to flash a new rom [as I am now unable to really access my sd card] it would install it, however, it would boot past the the splash screen and would go black. I didn't think I had to flash the kernel before hand, perhaps that was my problem.
I've got the latest version of TWRP and trying to make a backup. It says there's not enough room. I have the SD card selected and it has 7 free GB of space. 13.3GB of internal storage is used. Is there no compression? This was working fine until I upgraded to Marshmallow.
Also I'm a bit surprised to see internal storage so full, I just installed Marshmallow.

That's a good question. I guess all of them but the cache? How do I decide which need to be backed up if the goal is to be able to restore from a damaged device?

Usually /system, /data, and /boot. And these partition usually exceed 7GB, which in your case 13GB. That means your SD card is too small to handle the backup.
