I have an LG Harmony, model LM-X210CM. Through a botched rooting job, the device has nothing on it except TWRP.
When I first boot, I get the "Your device software cannot be check for corruption. Lock the bootloader. PRESS THE POWER KEY TO PAUSE BOOT. Your device will boot up automatically after a while."
I tried to use the LG Mobile Support tool to access and restore the factory image (not sure if that software even does such a thing), but the program doesn't recognize the phone as being plugged in, though Windows 10 does and gives me access to the internal storage.
I am able to boot the phone into TWRP by holding down Power and Volume Down.
I'm thinking that if I acquire a stock ROM, I can get this phone going again. But two questions arise: where on Earth might I find a non-sketchy ROM, and will this fix the "Your device software cannot be check for corruption...." message when I first boot?
Thanks for your time and consideration.

If your device has TWRP, then you can download the firmware from the LG official website of your device. Although you must seek the exact firmware for your country or region. I hope this helps! If you need more help, let me know.
I'm also using a lmx210cm. Although, it's a fortune 2. I tried using Twrp 3.1.3 ... I think, didn't take. What version did you use?
i didn't see my answer, perhaps it's hidden ... so excuse me if i'm repeating myself. sorry, but i'm not allowed to post hyperlinks ... i'm not sure about just posting the link, which is LGs site for the firmware. neither are labeled "Harmony" though, although they are for the lm-x210cm.

TL;DR:
How can I replace the bootloader on a friend's without losing all of the pictures of her newborn baby?
Detailed story:
A friend had a baby. She took all of the pictures on her Lumia 800.
The phone battery died and then would only boot to the Orange Logo screen. Eventually, it decided to suffer from this deep discharge issue. I've hacked power to it (see pic https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByYvR1VR60dIb1piWVlqR2h4a1U/edit?usp=sharing) and it now is back at the Orange Logo screen state.
I have tried:
Soft reset (Power Button: 10s)
Pseudo battery pull (Power Button + Vol Down: ~10s)
Bootloader startup (Vol Up + Power, plug into laptop via USB). This thankfully gives me the Qualcomm device detected in windows and not the Nokia DLOAD.
I had an issue installing the Qualcomm drivers on Vista but eventually sorted that. The Laptop has detected a few devices (USB Input device, USB HCI Device and it very briefly detected a USB storage device). Vista did pop up with a "The drive is not formatted. Do you want to format it?" message (to which, I clicked No!).
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get access to the user memory space on this device, so that I can recover the pictures? We are not bothered about getting it all up and running (We will send it away for repair to do that) but we need to recover the pictures off it first.
If I flash a new firmware to it using Nokia Care Suite, I presume that I am going to nuke the user memory space and lose the pictures anyway?
I was looking at using this guide to do it: http://techtage.com/2012/03/tutoria...-lumia-710-800-with-official-custom-firmware/
If this was Android, I'd just flash a Custom Recovery which supports mounting the SD card to USB and hook it up to the laptop and mount the drive. Is there any similar approach with Windows phone? I'm not familiar with the platform.
Thanks in advance for any tips with this one.
Hi there,
i think the first thing you should do is to make a backup of ALL 9 PARTITIONS of the phone. Just to be on the save side.
Because you have the qualcomm bootloader, you can do this very easily.
I wrote a little "how-to" a while ago in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698272
So, if you "brick" your device or overwrite the actual system, you can always go back to the actual status.
So, maybe after you backed up the partition 9 (which contains your phone os and data) you can try to extract the image with 7-zip.
This maybe could work.
I'm not sure about this, but this is the first thing i would do.
Just tell me how it goes and reply here or write me a pm. I'm sure we'll solve that
cheers
Thanks for your response. I will try that tonight and let you know how I get on.
When the phone boots successfully into "Qualcomm mode", what would I expect to see on the phone screen? Currently, I don't get anything but the operator ("Orange") logo.

Hi, you won't see anything on the phone's screen.
The phone is in qualcomm mode, when you see the "format disk" window in windows.
Or better said, after the short vibration, when you're pressing VOL-Up + Power.
And as you did, ALWAYS KLICK NO when you're asked to format the drive. Otherwise you'll brick your device, as you'll format partition 3 of the phone, then you need to restore the bootloader, which can only be done with special hardware.
Edit:
I've just tried to extract my own backup of partition9. No luck. I can only extract partition3, as it is usually FAT formatted.
Hm... i'll keep thinking what we could do... But make the backups first, it's really worth it

I really appreciate you attempting it on your own phone. Thanks.
If it turns out that I need to reflash just the bootloader, is it possible to get hold of the Hardware? Any ideas on price of these devices?

No worries, that's what all user should do here: trying to help
If you need to reflash the bootloader, you won't loose any data on partition 9 of your phone.
If you have an ATF flasher box, you can do this yourself (as i have), otherwise you can check if any phone repair shop in your town/city has such a box.
If it should really be the bootloader, you could also try to restore your partition 9 backup on another qualcomm L800.
could work probably.

Can you still get into twrp? With the phone off hold power and vol down til LG logo comes up the release and press again after. Should take you to a menu, just hit yes. If it takes you to recovery just hit factory reset and it'll,take you to twrp. If so, I'd recommend putting a Rom onto an sd and flashing it. You'll lose everything but it's better then losing this beautiful phone

You obviously didnt read his post correctly. He stated that when he gets to the factory reset area which leads you to Recovery Mode/TWRP it shows the LG logo appears and nothing happens.
As for you my friend if you are able to somehow get into download mode with a button combination you have a chance at saving yourself by using a TOT or KDZ file to restore your phone to stock software. But i also have a question for you.........Why the hell would you allow an app to flash a recovery file that has nothing to do with BUMP'D? The Bump'd recovery for our phones is specific to our phones! You should never auto update any recovery unless stated its ok from the Bump'd developers, Which they never did or will because our TWRP Recoveries are different than any other phones because of the bump'd implementations with in them and the boot.img's. Sounds to me like you may have screwed up your partitions and/or boot stack. Your are better going on IRC and requesting the help of TheCubed/IOMonster and AutoPrime, but mark my words you will face some heavy criticism from members of the IRC channel when you explain this story to them. But they are always willing to help.
I dont know why i have done it,im new on Lg.Before i had an HTC there is so many other.I will aks that guys.I hope i can save my new phone.
But the Problem is,i dont get into download Menu,i did everthing
same thing

Hi, I have a Motorola Moto E.
After i Unlocked it in bootloader and erased all data with fastboot and adb. I did a recovery with TWRP.
I tried there many things because it said that there was no OS installed.
The last action I did was trying to install a firmware update. (OnePlusFirmware)
After that it asked for reboot so i did, but the screen remain black. I can't start it with hold or Vol Down + Hold. Also with the USB Cable to the computer it won't do a thing.
The only thing what I see is the LED light at the top Flashing sometimes.
It look likes bricked but many unbrick solutions required the bootloader/download mode and that can't I get to.
Can somebody please help me? Thank You

Assuming you are on Windows: what does the device show up as in Device Manager when you plug it in? Also, while it is plugged in to your computer, press and hold PWR + VolDn for 10 seconds, then release PWR while still holding down VolDn for 3 seconds, then let go of VolDn too. After doing this, refresh the list of devices in Device Manager. What do you see in Device Manager then?
If you see something along the lines of QHSUSB-DLOAD, I'm afraid you've bricked your device. If you are in that state, it will have to be blank flashed at the very least, and certain device identifiers may need to be reprovisioned as well depending on how badly it broke it. I don't think the blankflash files are publicly available for this device, so if this is the case, you'll need to take it to Motorola for repair.
If you are able to get the bootloader to come up by following the steps I mentioned above, then you will probably be able to fix your device by flashing factory images.
If something else shows up, post it here and we'll see what can be done.
And remember, NEVER EVER flash firmware for a different device, particularly if it is a completely different device (like the OnePlus One).

I think I'll bring it back to the shop.

When I tried to get on my Moto G Power phone yesterday, it would not boot up. It goes to the blue Motorola screen, waits a minute, goes black and restarts again. After awhile (10-ish minutes) it goes to "fastboot" screen with the "dead" android on its back opened up. The displays says "USB connected" but the phone does not display in Windows 10 (file explorer) as a drive or a network device. To my knowledge, the USB file transfer option is NOT enabled and I cannot get to it anyway since the phone won't boot up. I can only power it off (the state when I plug it in and it shows the charging icon percentage only) by selecting "power off" in one of the two "android" recovery screens (fast boot and the menu select mode).
I have downloaded the "Rescue and Smart Assistant" application but it does not "recognize" the phone for anything EXCEPT it DOES see the phone enough to find and suggest what firmware I need to load to "rescue" the phone! Of course that deletes all my data (pictures, contacts, etc.). While doing this, nothing is displayed in windows explorer.
Bottom line -- Based on it "seeing" the phone and suggesting firmware I THINK I can recover/repair the phone by "factory resetting" it, but FIRST I want to be sure no one at Motorola and/or this forum has any suggestions and how to get my files off the phone. I am willing to send it in for "repair" if they will try to get the files before resetting and/or replacing the phone. Yes I have gotten into the other "menu select" screen that lists the options and comes up by holding the power button down and tapping volume up. I went through everything in there that I though might work (other than factory reset).
Anyone out there have any suggestions or tools I should try? Thanks!

Moto service will not save your data/photos.
If adb debugging was not enabled, and the bootloader is locked, you likely will not have any success.
You can try reflashing the firmware manually using the LMSA firmware.
Use LMSA to download the firmware but do not select Rescue Now.
Find downloaded firmware
Use Online FlashFile Converter to get the correct flash commands commands
Before flashing, remove this line if it's there.
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
If you get some errors, post them here.
Motorola bootloader will throw errors, but still, boot
if it will not boot see
Having trouble flashing with a locked bootloader?
If that fails
Your best hope is a data recovery company, that may cost thousands of $$$

SD_Shadow:
Thanks for the message. I have used the levono RSA program, hopefully that is what you are referring to by "LMSA firmware". The rescue finds the phone but the firmware it selects DOES NOT match my firmware EXACTLY. Mine says "RPMS31.Q1-54-13.3-5" but the firmware it suggests is "Sofia_Retail_RPMS31.Q1-54-13.3-6_subsidy-CCAWS_regulatory-DE". I have downloaded it and edited the XML file in it. My concern is if I flash in the "-6" version, will it find something "wrong" and either fail or corrupt the files I am trying to save.
I found a version-5 on the mirror site with I am thinking I should use it instead of what it is suggesting. Do you agree? I don't really understand why you are telling me to use "online flashfile converter"? My guess is if I just move the firmware I found into an appropriate folder like the one I downloaded already (the -6 version), how do I tell the RSA program to use the file I want flashed? Is that the reason for the OFC?
You may need to explain that a little bit more and then I will try to burn whichever version you think I should try.
By the way, my model is "XT2041-6". I think it is a Moto G Power (original version, not 2021 or 2022).
HD
Hey SD_Shadow, are you still available? Was hoping you would comment on my last message / questions. If not, it is OK, but I could sure use some confirmation on what I am going to do (load the version -5 instead of the recommended -6). Mainly wondering why you have to convert any commands since it seems like it would load it automatically (at least for the pre-picked -6 version).
Hi everyone, I followed this guide here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/v60-bootloader-unlock-and-magisk-root.4358785/ to root the phone with magisk. Everything went great up to the last point. I rebooted my device and I am currently stuck at fastboot mode as my device can't normally boot into stock rom I had before I tried to root it. Should I just flash stock rom on the device? How should I do that? I am still an amateur and can't figure it out by myself. My bootloader is unlocked. Any help would be much appreciated. Flashing backup boot images doesn't help.
Just put your device in the download mode. Here are the steps for you:
1. When you are in the fastboot mode, choose to turn off the device by scrolling though the options (via volume up/down key and then pressing the power button to select).
2. After the phone is off, keep the volume up key pressed and insert the USB cable into the device. Make sure the USB cable is attached to a computer before plugging it into the phone. This will put you in the download mode.
3. From there you flash the relevant firmware using LGUP.
The case is outdated, I managed to upload the firmware via LGUP
Hi everyone.
I have a similar problem. I wanted crossflash to EU.
When I was ripping and deleting the contents of the partition, the phone lost the usb connection and after reboot it fell into a loop. It does not report for usb and I can not turn it off. Is there anything else that can be done to save him? I erased the partitions FTM, Modem_A, Modem_B, SID_A, SID_B, OP_A - not OP_B.
I have a backup of them
I'm sorry, my english is bad.
You have two options depending on which one is available to you:
1. If you get into the QFIL then try to restore the deleted partitions. It is quite possible that other partitions have also got affected due to abrupt disconnection resulting from power failure.
2. Maybe you can get into the download mode. It will be tricky. Press and hold the volume down key and the power button till the phone restarts. Once it starts, press the volume up key and insert USB cable (that is already connected to a computer). Once there, re-flash the firmware.
Thank you for your help. I was able to start the phone in download mode and upload the firmware via LGUP.
Hello! I didn’t root anything, everything is stock. at some point phone just crashed and now it is stuck in boot loop. i was able to factory reset it, but nothing changed, it keeps rebooting. LV600AM
The problem, in your case, becomes complex because AT&T does not release firmware publicly (that you could just re-flash the phone with). How were you able to factory reset the V60 phone? Did you get into the settings menu and reset it from there?
