You will need a unlocked bootloader to do that. See this post from @uccollab

Slow Motion on GCam 6.1
This is strange but works. You don't need root or a unlocked bootloader to do this.
1. You will need the official Moto Camera to do this.
2. Open Moto Camera and select the Slow Motion mode.
3. Record any video in Slow Motion.
4. Return to the GCam 6.1 and your slow motion will be working.
5. This works only on this thread's google camera, i've tried on another versions or ports and it doens't work.

Possibly a bug in the ROM port. Expect the official kernels of Android p to be released for the X4 and it may work.

Moto have to work on their stock camera cuz photos come out to be best in google cam and portrait is better of google cam

Confirmed, works on the Moto Z2 Force too!
Can anyone check if this gcam port provides better stabilization than stock camera? If not, please advise how to shoot stabilized video with X4.

Tried using it. Didn't like it, so I flashed the Official Camera libs so that I can get back to default and this what happens. The Photo lagging, the GCam Photo is displaying over saturated preview (not the pictures).

Did you had a over saturated previews at gcam?
This doesn't seem to be hdr10, just an oversaturated video
Is there an app that detects if a video is indeed an hdr10 video?
what is HDR10 ?
If you use stock cam for more than video and do not know what HDR10 is this mod is probably not for you

I have a Mi 8, I'll try camera.qcom.so...
By the way, Mi 8 and Poco have the same qtech or sunny IMX363 sensor, don't they?
How did you (or savitar) change libs to enable HDR10 recording? Is there code on Github?
Please, continue work on this mod and if possible make it a Magisk module so it is easier to revert to defaults. And also, port it to Mi 8
Will flashing this add a mode to the camera? Or every video taken from that point will be HDR10?

Mi8 F1, MIX3 share same hal so you just gotta rename the com.qti.tuned.imx363 bin to match mi8 tuned bin file name the rest should work ie camera.qcom.so and the two libmegface libs and libmediaplayerservice

Having done this on my Mi8, It works!!!
In Miui 9.3.7 Camera record video at 4k30p or 4k60p in 10-bit profile Rec.2020 and variable bitrate, but both my players in Windows and MIUI (default and MX player) play it wrong with distorted saturated colors. My Windows PC using latest MPC-BE and mpv can't play them correctly and smoothly either. I can play other 4k 8-bit files normally.
Processing video to 1080p with advanced tools like MeGUI x64 renders the images correctly!, and I can obtain plain x264 8-bit constant frame rate files that render well. (I tried with latest HandBrake but keeps Rec.2020 at 8-bitsand PQ Transfer and doesn't render well).
It is incredible that a Smartphone can record at 4k 60p HDR10 Rec.2020 4:2:0 YUV at Apple's Display P3 (DCI-P3) colorspace, PQ Transfer (sRGB gamma).
ThumbsUp! :good:
