Hey guys
two months ago i bought the Xiaomi Mi A3 in an official Xiaomi store in Lima, Peru. Since then I was charging the phone either with the original charger or the one from Huawei rated at 2A output or a third party charger rated at 2.4A output or a power bank. Everything always worked fine.
Suddenly since yesterday when i plug the phone onto the charger it says "charging slowly". I let it charge over night and starting from 5% it only reached 20%. It said it needed 1d and 18h to finish charging. Great.
The app Ampere tells me that it's charging with inbetween 320mA and 440mA which is way too low.
Of course I tried different cables and chargers to no avail.
Please help me. I can't bring it back to the store as I'm back in Germany now. Is it broken? Only after two months?

first time it fully charged in Little over 2 hours
I checked ampere app and it showed 1600-1700mA while charging
Then today morning again I put to charge with same official charger
and it doesn't charge !!
it shows charging but percentage don't increase
it sometimes even decreases!
I checked ampere app and now showing just 90-180mA current
I used a 1.5A Samsung charger and it charges with 750mA current
what's wrong?

What is MIUI version is installed?
Did you check if your phone still is communicating via USB? Because I have nearly the same issue.
I one wondered why my phone always was bringing this sound fpr plugging/unplugging the charger.
I assumed this was issued by a small charger which could not devliver enough current (usually up to 1800mA). So I used another one over the night.
Next day I expected it to be fully charged but it didn't charge at all. The app Ampere showed me just 100mA.
Then I've recognized that the USB-communication did not work anymore. So I guess that until there's no charger or PC-USB recognized, there's a limit to 100mAh.
I tested several chargers, cables and no chance to achieve more current. USB plug seems to be broken or something.
It doesn't matter if phone is powered on or off.
Then I've checked the Test-Menu. You need to shut down and then press VolUp, VolDown and Power all together.
Even from there I did not get any more current. And then I've chosen from Test-Menu the Reboot-Menu, choose Shutdown.
Now I got a 1000ma current!!!! Seems that somewhere the software restriction to 100mA is not active at this point.
Well, trying to fix this by getting the spare parts. First delivery did not fit. Second Delivery did fit, but phone did not boot.
USB-Plugin seems to be okay. the phone was a few days old.
I really don't know why anyone uses a 2A charger with this phone... Ideal conditions for charging a 4000mAh battery, or any other for that matter, would be 500mA to 1A current. I am using my trusty old LG 850mAh charger with this phone, and it charges properly, without heating up the battery. On the original charger, it went up to 38+ degrees Celsius. Now, it stays close to 30.
Was planning on using the fast charger that came with my S6 Active to keep at work. It still fast charges my S6 but when I use it with my S9 it only slow charges. I've checked the markings on the charger and they are exactly the same as on the charger that came with my S9 even down to the model number except for 1 thing. One says made in China and the other says made in Vietnam.
The fact that the old one still fast charges my S6 to me rules out the charger being faulty. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Ive been experiencing the same problem with my Mi power bank 2i.
When i connect it to S9 plus ots gives Fast charging message and then turns to cable charging.
I hope they rectify it in a patch.
This is ridiculously bad as i travel a lot and only depend on power babk 2i as it fast charges all samsung phones.
Any1 else having same problem ?
The charger that came with my S7 fast charges the S9+ without any issue, as does the 3rd party car charger I'm using. Does the one that came with you S9 fast charge properly? Are you using the cable that came with your S9 with the old charger?
I have a ton of chargers. The one that came with my nexus 6, my ATT prime time tablet, and my LG v20 and LG v495 tablet all fast charge my 9+. They are all Qualcomm fast charge 2/3. My Anker qc3 does fast charging as well. Variety of cables, some generic, some LG.
If I think of it when I get home I'll check my power bank. It's a qc 3.0 and is a 10k mah I think. Was 20ish dollars on Amazon.

Yep, the charger that came with my S9+ works perfectly, and yes I am using the cable that came with my S9+
I have the same issue with an ANKER charger and CHOETECH cable that was working perfectly with my S8+...
i charged the my s9+ after draining it completely without powering it ON.
Charged in 100mins.
The progress was like 15 mins -24%,45 mins - 60%, 80 mins - 90%, this is the first time i was able to charge it quickly.
I was very disappointed with charging time but this is third cycle, so i am sure its learning the way we use.
I charged it with QC3.0 charger
I will be posting more about this.
I think I have a Fast Charge problem with my AT&T branded S9+. Fast charging displays when I use the included cable and wall adapter and even if I use the included wall adapter and any of These Aukey Cables. But if I use those cables or even the cable included with the phone with This Aukey QC 3.0 Car Charger or This Anker QC 3.0 Power Bank I cannot get Fast Charging to display. Yes Fast Charging is enabled in Battery --> advanced. It worked for the first couple days with all combinations but now its as described. Even did a factory reset last night and restored from my previous phone's Google Backup which I did not do the first time (used Smart Switch the initial startup on launch day and only moved a few things over) Should I swap the phone out for another?
Im getting the same issue when using Aukey power bank. It does not fast charge my S9+. Works perfectly on S7 and S8. Do you guys have any luck?
Any resolutions for this? Same is happening to me. Is there a particular brand of cable that might help?

Most of my cables are Choetech brand from Amazon. Every single QC 2.0 charger fast charges my s9+
Just throwing this out there to rule it out, you can enable/disable wireless charging in the Advanced Features, Accessories section, check it's on.
Same here? Is this a bug introduced by a firmware update? Why aren't enough ppl talking about it
Hello guys, So I bought an almost new Honor View 10 from someone and they gave me the phone with a Samsung Adaptive Fast Charger and not the Huawei one. It works when I plug it except I noticed 2 things:
1) The phone stops charging few seconds after I log into the phone and start using it.
2) Battery duration was fantastic at first, said 2 days x hours left at 100% charge, now it says about 1 day x hours left.
The output on the charger is 9V 1.67A or 5V 2A. I have charged the phone about 4 or 5 times since getting it. So what do you guys think ? Is this charger ok and I should keep using it( i.e It wont ruin my battery) or should I spend some money and buy a Huawei one?
Thanks !
I rather prefer the original one, to prevent thigs like is happening to you
I don't think Super Charge will work with the Samsung charger.
Samsung's Adaptive Charger won't work as quick charge on view10, it will only charge the phone at the rate of 5v 2a.
Good morning everyone. I would like to buy a slow charger fo the night, but I don't know the exact output needed. I tried to use my X Compact charger with the Honor 10 shut off, but it won't charge it over 98%. Which of the thousands that are on Amazon could you suggest me? Thanks in advance
I've tried to use a 5W Sams*ng charger, but I had no luck: it wouldn't charge at all at any percentage
Use a 10W charger, preferably 5V 2A... that will be the most suitable, but what would be even better is if you bought a plug which has a timer function
I have a charger that came with my phone, Huawei Mate 9. I recently bought another phone, Xiaomi Pocophone X1. I tried to charge the new phone with my charger (and cable) and it went into boot loops and ended up draining the battery instead of charging. I then connected it to the charger that came with it and it charged fine.
What caused this difference? I'm asking since I want to buy a backup charger and want to know what to look for (other than buying a Xiaomi original)
Whats wrong with Xiaomi charger? It doesn't cost a fortune to buy the original one. If you want another backup charger buy the original and save your time searching for a better one than original...time is precious.
Weird, i charged mine with many other charger like huawei qc charger, aukey qc 3.0 charger and oter generic charger too...
All no issue...
