It is March 2020.
Has anyone links to WebOS Doctor, please.
All the links, all the links, all the links are all dead.
Google gives nothing.
Here, only here, I can hope for help.
I thank you.
I simply want to put WebOS back on the TP.

Thanks a lot. A whole lot. Any chance you may have the non-wifi version, please?
I don't know what lies ahead connecting it to wifi. I simply want to install WebOS so I get onto Android. So the least 'work' on WebOS that's possible is great for me.
Thanks a lot.

And so I come back to you. With much hope. And thanks.

There is no need to flash WebOS Doctor or WebOS to the HP Touchpad to install any version of Android.
It is 2020 and a lot has change and improve to flash any Android ROM just by flashing a file that will make the HP Touchpad a 100% Android Device.

Many thanks. I've tried flashing Evervolv 7.1.2 Android Nougat using tptoolbox_v42. But gapps will not work. I get an error message on gapps. I used the pico version, arm and 7.1. Any ideas, please? If a stupid mistake I'm making, please accept my apology now.

The tptoolbox_v42 can only be use to flash specific Android ROM and Recovery.
The tptoolbox_v42 is a very limited and old process that does not work.
If the user wants to convert or use the Tablet as an Android device only, there is no need to use the tptoolbox_v42.

Introduction: - Read it carefully ...
So guys i compiled the native Lollipop which Google pushed yesterday ^^
It does not contain any gapps, bootanimation or bloatware, so do not expect too much
This build needs to be flashed via Fastboot! (Tutorial below)
The Rom is designed for interested users which want to know whats coming to their smartphones
and maybe some custom rom creators aswell
Feel free to customize it however you want.
Aswell you need to flash this directly onto the Android L Developer Preview.
Please do not spam rom creators and inform them about the image i posted here - it annoys them
Little fastboot tutorial:
- open command window
- type "fastboot flash system system.img"
- type "fastboot flash userdata userdata.img"
- type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
- type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
- type "fastboot flash cache cache.img"
- type "fastboot reboot" and enjoy the little over-look experience
For custom rom creators i recommend Ext4 Unpacker for windows. It's free, btw, rom is deodexed.

No, its missing all of google's apps and play store. It just includes a few basic apps like browser/sms/phone/gallery/email/calender/camera and so forth.
Just a idea, is it possible to combine this with the nexus 9 factory image?

It would be better to pull the gapps from the n9 factory image.

I'm going to give this a shot right now. My N5 isn't my main device at the moment, so why not.

Play Store app needs Google Play Services to work placed in the system.
Could you try using the Root method on the last Developer Preview and see if its working?

Later, I will correct the name of the archive to separate versions.
Was there a separate thread ever created for feedback/user experience? Can't seem to find anything, but would love to read some opinions & actual user experience.
The February patch on board. Also special version without support LTE modem( no_mdm ).

I believe that all those who are flashing custom ROM on the nexus should know about this.

In this case, my kernel has nothing to do with this problem.

Updating the wifi version.
I'm currently working on a long-term project to get a custom stock ROM (if that makes sense) for the Galaxy Core Prime G360V. My goal is to make it exactly the same as the stock ROM, except minus all the bloat and possibly with root/SuperSU baked in. My first step in this project is complete; I have successfully extracted the root>system folder of the phone. You can download it from the link if you would like to assist me in this project. I'm still relatively a noob, so I will need some help with this. Any tips or assistance would be appreciated. Some info about the ROM I'm using:
Model no: SM-G360V
Android version: 5.1.1
Baseband version: G360VVRU3BOK2
Build number: LMY48B.G360VVRU3BOK2
Heavily inspired by Psilocelium: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-core-prime/how-to/sm-s820l-freshly-built-rom-core-prime-t3516067

UPDATE (5/21/2017): Academics have been really busy lately, but I should have time to finish the ROM this summer. I've upgraded to the Moto G5 Plus but will still be around to help with this device. Thanks for the support, and you all will know when the ROM is ready.
Leave a thanks if this helped anyone. And if you can offer any help to my little project please PM me. Thanks!

Thanks you for sharing what you are doing. If you want some help, I can help you. If you want th build a custom Rom based on samsung stock rom, you'll need 2 computers with Linux and Windows or a dual boot (Linux to edit system image and windows to use ODIN, but you can also use linux to flash .tar, but for me its really complicated ^^ )

OP update, check it out.
Sorry for inactivity.
I recently lost my Core Prime and as a result cannot develop right now. But I plan on doing something a bit more radical.. making a real custom ROM, like Lineage.
If any of you can, I would really appreciate it if you would be willing to grab one of the ROMs for other variants: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...m-lineageos-14-1-samsung-galaxy-core-t3586184
Edit the updater-script (with Notepad++) to include "coreprimeltevzw" and flash it with FlashFire. Let me know of the results if you do it. As soon as I find my own I will be trying it myself. Thanks all.
I compiled the GSI overnight, its aosp_arm64_a Legacy GSI, because the ones I keep downloading are all August security patch and I wanted it a little more up to date. I got the source directly from google and built it myself. AB is now uploaded as aosp_arm64_ab. A only is also up as aosp_arm64_a-aosp. I ran it on my One Plus 5, NFC was buggy but the camera, ril, Bluetooth, wifi, and everything I tried out worked. this is vanilla, so its bare bones. no apps besides the basics, no mods or any customizing. As this is a GSI it should be useable on many devices, I can only help you with the devices that I own, pixel XL and one plus 5. If you have a device other then that, you will have to find help from someone knowledgeable about that device. I have had success using twrp and fastboot to flash the system image. I was told doing it via fastboot is the best, so you can disable verified boot, then flash, then format all in one shot. My device did not require me to disable the verify boot. From my end it was literally as simple as 3 commands via fastboot and then restart the device and I was in. I flashed a 50mb gapps package from xda here, and magisk. took some photos, connected my Bluetooth speaker, made a call. sent some texts, installed a few apps. I will be staying on stock. But only because my device has stock pie, and the theming from one plus far trumps google.

It's very fast. install and boot was very fast. but I just discovered my home button does not work. however I don't assume that would be a difficult fix. the back and pages button are working. its very bare tho, you need to install everything you want manually. Which I prefer, it gives me more control over my phone I find. Hydrogen works ok too, it just requires a bit of work to get play store going and remove all the bloatware. GSI camera worked fine from boot.

How to install:

2) do factory reset (wipe)
3) Flash magisk 21. It's not necessary to flash gaaps as it is inbuilt in the ROM.
