Why does the 60fps option in stock cam always seem to record vids darker than the other settings??
Less fps more light

Yesterday I took a video with the front camera. I recorded with the front camera for 7 minutes and it took almost 1GB of size. So, is there an app that can record videos with lower resolution but not too blurry?

Camera JB + Can shoot at 480p and you can choose the bitrate. Im looking for an app for this too.
Is there a way to get the job camera to record videos at a higher fps like the tw camera does? Its the only thing I hate about the job camera app.

Found this in the market last night and bought it for 99¢… its also on XDA for free but I gladly bought it. Try it out. Won't be disappointed.

It does nothing different than the normal camera app. Yes, the standard camera app also does HDR. In fact your link clearly states it. It is a modified Android 4.2 camera for Android 2.3+.
If you use the cm camera and HDR it looks horrid to me. I can take an HDR pic with the Google edition camera and it looks great. Same picture with the CM camera come out so dark you can't see it. This one comes out the same as the Google Edition camera but actually works on AOSP. So to me and apparently others it is a nice camera.

This. It seems AOSP cam is only keeping the low light portion of the HDR shot. With this app you can also manipulate your storage location, change the fps on video recording, keep the originals of your HDR shot before processing, etc. Its a killer app and has rounded out the features on AOSP for me.

All this and more. The AOSP camera HDR setting is dark and produces sub par pictures for my taste. This is a great alternative. Was missing the pop that TW camera software gave you with the HDR setting.

quick snapshot
All of these are pre OTA. Honestly I don't get why the camera got such negative reviews. I did use the manual exposure controls to remove 0.5-1 in some of these shots. All in all I liked the way they looked. All images are unedited. It was a very "gray" day outside.
Edit: looks like tapatalk compressed my uploads. All of them are crisp and clear on my device.
One thing I read about the camera in a great review comparing S6 and M9.
Is the Aspect Ratio of the M9 Sensor is NOT 16:9 but the screen IS. Where on the Samsung the Sensor and Screen are BOTH 16:9.
What does that mean?
By default an image that is taken in 16x9 to fill the screen is Cropped !! So you are not getting the full resolution of the sensor.
M9 Aspect Ratio is 10:7
Here is some info on it http://sonictech101.blogspot.com/2015/03/galaxy-s6-vs-one-m9-battle-of-optics.html but I don't think this article talks about the cropping needed to "Fill the screen" Default.
If my math is correct 25% of the resolution (or information collected by the sensor) is "Tossed" by using 16x9 Aspect Ratio.
If you put the Camera in "Regular Mode" 10:7 you'll capture the full sensor. But now your wasting screen resolution by not using all the pixels on the screen to view it.
It was kind of stupid to not use a 16x9 sensor with a native 16x9 screen

I haven't been able to figure out how to change the camera resolution - or video resolution for that matter. Am I missing something obvious?

OK, video resolution I found, but I don't think there is a setting for camera resolution. That's really disappointing.

I couldn't find it either but its gotta be there somewhere...
I'm stumped here as well ?
Anyone found this, in the gallery when you go to edit a photo. Maybe after the fact you can adjust it at least?
I'm looking for the same thing
