System UI has stopped, Phone locked - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey All,
Device - Motorola One Power
Status - Completely in Stock condition
OS Version - 10(QPTS30.61-18-3) (Android 10)
After I changed a wallpaper on the phone, a popup "System UI has stopped" is popping up , and I can't unlock it.
Any touches on the display even on the error popup will make the screen blank out and the pop-up reappears.
Troubleshooting and results
1. Normal Mode - Fingerprint accepted, vibration feedback received, PIN mandatory, cannot login as display goes blank after every touch.
2. Safe Mode - same issues as normal boot.
3. USB OTG-Mouse - Mouse pointer appears on top of the popup error, cannot dismiss, same issue as normal and safe boot.
4. Emergency call mode - Popup appears even on the emergency call.
5. Wipe Cache is unavailable in recovery as the I guess it's the new seamless A/B data structure.
Situation : Data is not backed up and Full Userdata wipe is not an option..
Wipe Data is not an option as I have the only copy of photos of recent family get-together and baby cousin's birthday which I could not back up due to lack of personal time.
Is there any way to get my data back ?
Fastboot?
ADB Zip Sideload?
Factory Mode?
If anyone has any idea to help me out, and if am not following the post guidelines, then please direct me to a helpful link where I can help myself.
Please help me out guys
Thanks

If you can establish an ADB connection then you can transfer the worthful data to your computer. That I'ld try as first thing of all things.

ASUS MeMO Pad 7(ME70C)

After trying to root my tablet with ZenFoneRoot, my Tablet went into Demo mode and I couldn't use it at all. I tried flashing with the classic ASUS method (putting the firmware on the SD and updating) but after the update completed, demo mode was still there. So I went into fastboot mode and did a "fastboot wipe system", realising after that I can flash everything except for the system/ directory, which was not a .img file (duh, silly me).
If I select recovery from DroidBoot, I get a message saying "Installing system update" followed by "Error" and that's it... no recovery menu, no nothing.
What should I do to recover my tablet?
Here are the contents of my update zip file from ASUS.

After some research I flashed the WW_MeMo_Pad-11.2.3.17.3-2014100 droidboot (fastboot.img), boot and splashimage and now I can:
fastboot -w -i 0x0b05 flash update UL-K017-WW-11.2.3.21-user.zip
But I get the following error
E: unable to rename file /cache/update.zip: Cross-device link
Tried doing a
fastboot erase cache
without any luck...
Do you guys have any ideas?
Also tried creating a yaffs2 image using "mkyaffs2 system/" but I get a zlink: Invalid Arguments error
A few days later, I contacted Asus, explained the problem and they asked me to send my tablet somewhere out of town and I have to pay for the service (which I think will cost me 50% of the tablet's value). Well this didn't help at all.
I even tried writing a bash script that would fastboot flash system/path for every file in the system directory (yes, flashing ~1000 files took me 30 minutes). But the tablet won't start, even though the files are there and I wiped the system & cache partition before. I still don't understand how the recovery option works or why "wipe data" gives me an error. All I need is a valid system.img file, that's all.
From my research, I'm starting to think that the .zips are signed with SignAPK.
Sorry for asking this question, over and over again. I just want to share my progress with this, seeing that there are some posts without replys regarding this product and with the same problem).
What if I compile Android, copy the libs/ and etc/ directories and flash the resulting system.img (will try this tomorrow).
Thank you!

I am having the same problem .I cannot get into recovery mode,as u explained in above. i think RootZenFone app only works for android:4.3
Thanks for sharing
Same boat here
I tried rooting my ME70C/K01A with RootZenFone-1.4.5r.apk.
Unfortunately I tried it after the 4.4.2 update and now I seem to be stuck in some sort of demo mode. There's a blue icon in the notification bar and I occasionally get a pop-up dialog saying that demo mode has stopped.
I purchased it just this week so I'm thinking back to the store it goes. Maybe I'll just stay with my Motorola Xoom..
bob
Well what I did since the last time I posted was:
- I successfully created a system.img image (using the tools in ADK) that I can flash into my MeMo pad, but the tablet doesn't boot even tough it was a successful flash Anddddd... I'm stuck at this point. Any more ideas?
To remove the offline demo in the notification in ME70C

7. Power off the tab and boot to boot-loader and then select recovery.
8. The tab will restart to recovery and automatically make system update and gives an error and reboot the tab.
Now there must be SuperSU installed in app list. Then just update the SuperSU app from the play store.

I found this thread while looking for a way to unlock the bootloader but I did not do step 7 - I used 1.46r (attached), installed it, forgot network, went to airplane mode, ran Root Zenphone and then rebooted (not to recovery) and I am now rooted with Busybox installed and not in Demo Mode (and didn't have to disable it)

Hi I have the same issue, but I have no success with "Hold Back Key", when video is playing his entering after few seconds in full screen and back key from the screen dissapear. Please can you help me with that. Thanks!
Chk out this video .This will help out deactivation of demo mode http://youtu.be/vptHAKTvoyw ...
If still don't work ,better to factory reset and try the step from the beginning
I cannot get into Recovery Mode. I boot into Fastboot, select Recovery mode, unit reboots, see the ASUS logo and then it hangs and eventually goes to a blank screen. Almost like the recovery partition is empty.
I was trying to restore my tablet back to a fresh install so I ran (in fastboot mode):
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
How can I get stock recovery back? All I can do it get into fastboot mode. Unit has no OS on it now since I wiped the system partition.

[Q] [Q&A] [Help] YP-G70 US - black screen after sweep glass to unlock

Hi,
I'm new to these forums, so sorry in advance. I was given a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 model number YP-G70. This is the US version. The phone turns on, and I am able to get it boot up. However, once I get to the "Sweep glass to unlock" screen and use my finger to unlock it, all that show is the top status bar that displays the time, and then the rest is black. I am able to sweep down from the top status bar which will show the all the wi-fi and Bluetooth buttons as well as the ongoing events, but nothing else.
So far I have tried booting into Android system recovery and wiped the cache partition and wiped the data/factory reset. After I reset the phone each time, I am first greeted with a message that says "Sorry, the application setup wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. Try again"
I am able to get into download mode. I have tried using Odin, oneclickunbrick, and kies but both programs do not recognize the phone both in download mode and at the unlock screen in regular boot mode.
If anyone can give me some guidance, I'd really appreciate it. This is driving me nuts.
Thanks

NEED! Help on How to pull files using ADB from Recovery Mode !!

To start off, I suffered, what seems to be a common problem, of the fingerprint unlock on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge randomly being unable to recognise my fingerprint. Followed by my back-up password not being accepted. Unfortunately, I turned off my data and wifi before the phone locked so the problem doesn't seem to be able to resolve itself unless I Factory Reset the phone.
This i am happy to do as long as I can find some way to retrieve the media files from the phone (just pictures and videos). I read up and watched some videos where some people were able to use ADB through Recovery Mode or Field Test mode, and pull the files from the phone. These people however were using older models of Android phones but I decided to read numerous pages etc and go ahead and try.
I set up everything (I believe) i needed on my Mac Book pro in order to use the Adb Terminal. However when I tried to connect my phone Adb couldn't detect my device. I then decided (after reading somewhere to do so) to press "Apply update using ADB" on the Recovery menu. Again, Adb did not detect my device.
i left this screen up on my phone which resulted in "dm-verity verification failed..." appearing at the bottom of the screen. It then switched back to the Recovery menu and continues to show "dm-verity verification failed..." at the base of the screen. Now when I try and power up the phone normally, the start up screen just repeatedly flashes and it goes no further than that.
Im not completely brain dead when it comes to this stuff but I obviously don't fully understand what I am doing, So Im wondering if there is a genius out there who, even after what I've done, can help me pull the files from my phone before I have to Factory Reset!

LG v10 recovery

Hi All,
Id like to start out by stating that I am newb when it comes to android recovery
My V10 was stuck on LG screen with the infamous bootloop issue. I was able to get it to a point where the phone would boot after performing the mobo bake option. The phone booted just fine. I was hoping to create a nandroid backup in an effort to install image backup on a replacement phone that I received. This phone was rooted but did not have any custom recovery installed. I read in some article, that one could use an app called Quick Book [Root] from Play Store, which I downloaded and installed. Shortly after that, I pulled up the menu and selected to restart in quick boot recovery menu. It was taking quite some time, so I figured it was likely stuck doing nothing. Right as I was holding down the power option down, I noted the little android logo pop up and close out.
Upon starting the phone back up, it was stating that it was optimizing 200+ apps and then got in to a loop with the LG setup wizard 'Unfortunately, LGSetupWizard has stopped'. I was able to pull up the menu from top to bottom and get in to settings page. When I go to Application Manager, it is showing that there are no downloaded apps, etc as if the phone was wiped.
I guess my question is, is there anyway to get this back to the state is was in before the installation of this Quick Boot application? Any help would be appreciated.
Things to note:
Tried clearing cache and it had no effect
Phone is currently on 5.1.1
Can get the phone in to debugging mode
I have a titanium backup on installed sd card from g0d knows when
Under storage, it shows about 13gb of misc data (not sure if normal or showing that much as part of the issue)
Thanks

Question Trying to recover OnePlus 9R LE2100 after Android 12 update

I did the infamous update to Android 12 yesterday and this morning tinkering with the new settings I accidentally blocked myself out of my phone.
Before testing yourself I want to give a warning to not you bother to try this setting on, just in case the same thing happens to any of you: it was a setting called "Quickly unlock screen without password" or something like that, it was in Settings > Privacy & Security > Lock screen Password. If anyone that still has the Android 12 update installed would be so kind to share some screenshots of those steps I could tell right away which option was the one I activated, since I can't even access my phone anymore...
Don't know why, but it seems that with this option the system just tries to fill the password but it always fails and it just keeps vibrating forever and can't do anything at all. The only time it stops is after rebooting into the SIM unlock prompt, but after unlocking the SIM it starts vibrating again and can't even input my password.
After this now I'm trying to recover all my stuff from my phone before doing a factory reset, which seem inevitable at this point. I have tried to access mass storage from Recovery Menu but it doesn't seem to be recognized by my PC. I have seen that OnePlus devices have different recovery menus, this one has a menu with four options (Format data, Reboot device, Power off and Advanced) and at the bottom it says "Ver 1.2", which tapping on it twice gives a message telling to go into Download Mode, but it doesn't seem to do anything aside from rebooting.
Also tried to go into Fastboot from the recovery menu (Advanced > Reboot into Fastboot mode) but it just shuts down instantly after the Fastboot logo shows up.
So, please, could anyone give some advice here? I'm pretty much lost at this point and I don't want to factory reset right away just yet. Any help will be appreciated.
are you able to fix your phone?
