Ok I'm pretty new to these tv boxes but not new to Android flashing. That being said I see they have twrp for a few of our boxes got it running on my s905w p282 board but I was wondering do they have any Fkashabkes zips for ROMs. All I'm seeing r the Amlogic tools cards/USB..

hey, i was wondering if you guys knew of any way to put windows 10 on these boxes instead of the old 4.4. kit kat crap they have on there. the box is a goobang doo m8s s812 . can't seem to find any reliable or usable software upgrades in android for it, and would like it to be slightly useful since most of the apps don't wanna work on old android versions
I have ported the famous atvXperience rom over to the mxq pro 4k boxes with the p281 bootloader ONLY! I have read numerous threads where people had the same issues as myself with the original ROM not loading/stuck on boot screen, etc. So I decided to play and tinker around with it.
This is a beta, there are known issues and bugs:
some apps in the app drawer have funny looking icons
the "OK" button on the factory remote doesnt like to work outside KODI.
You must use the usb burning tool for this rom. I recommend using a usb keyboard and mouse due to the remote bugs.
please feel free to provide ANY input, this is a work in progress and my FIRST time ever toying around with android firmware.
This is Nayam's rom just ported and modified for our unique boxes. He gets the credit, I just followed his guidance to get this working on this particular box.

I own the Bqeel 2019 Android 8.1 TV Box Y4 MAX / Amlogic S905X2 Quad Core / 4G DDR4+64G eMMC / Dual WIFI 2.4/5.8G + 100M LAN / tv box Bluetooth 4.0 / USB 3.0/ HDMI 2.1 /4K Smart TV Box .
I have tried many custom roms and none of them seem to work in the correct manner. I am able to use the latest USB burning tool but lot of these custom roms will flop on me after the install process. I feel like there is something usually wrong with the WIFI side. if it is not a wifi problem, then it is the remote control.
I have yet to find a custom rom where I can load and then use the device the way it is suppose to be. I want the remote to work correctly. Keep in mind that I do have a direct Ethernet connection for this device.
I have contacted the original manufacturer hoping that they can send me the original default firmware.
Back to the topic, i am interested in the best, the latest, and the one the works the most for this device. All solutions have failed for me thus far.
ps: i will re try the following .img files that I was able to obtain from FreakTabs
- XTM_ATV_X96_4_4 (this one will not connect to the internet directly. it needs a cell phone or tablet, so i can transfer over the Wifi and Google Account settings. For some reason, this is impossible because it keeps asking for my WIFI password which i have entered many times in the device);
- Poison_S905x2_V2.0 (this one is easy to install but after the install, the GUI seems stuck. I can't open up any apps, and the weather icon is always spinning).
Again, i have tried maybe 5 different custom roms from freaktabs (i am sure they are posted here) and none of them seem to work.

I have the same problem.
I have tried many custom roms but nothing seems to work. Wifi and Bluetooth issues is a problem.
I too need STOCK firmware. I have extra device that is not been messed around with but i do not know how to make back up from stock rom. If i can make stock up rom with one app, i will do it ASAP and perhaps share it.
Edit: So I am able to obtain a back up of the stock firmware via Twrp from my second device, but it is not compatible with the other Bqeel system. All i see is the Bqeel Boot Logo.
I am still able to boot into recovery, and i can also install other custom roms (those custom roms stink).
I still need the orgiinal stock firmware in .img or i need a custom rom that actually works really great.
For those who want to purchase this device, you can but do not mess with custom roms. Just remove default apps and enjoy the default OS.
I contact the seller of my box (bqeel y4 max 4/64go) today
he gonna send me the stock firmware Asap.
I 'll share it when i 'll recieve it.

I did the same thing. They sent me the stock firmware. the device works great now! there is another hiccup though. For usb burning tool, you will need some license files. when you load the .img file in the program, it will not accept it. You need the license files (just transfer them in the directory in usb burning tool)

What did you actually wrote into the message? I'm in touch with them since a few days but I cannot go over than "we can replace the unit"!

it is due for an update but works as is. I also have a SlimBox ROM that works for the Bqeel but I'll have to upload that to my Mega folder and share the link.

So i had tried every firmware out there for 2/16gb X96 max plus. Turns out this box is a totally different model the Q1 Android 9 System_as_root, no ramdisk.
The WiFi/ethernet and Kernel are different from the rest
So far I've had slimbox(with magisk) I don't know how @SlimHouse managed to root it.
All the X96max plus versions of twrp work on him including the X96max official twrp.
The stock is really smooth and actually OK. So I would like to root and maintain it...
What I cannot do is get this new box revision of "Q1" rooted.
So far I have tried :
1. Twrp flashing magisk 21.4.zip with Dm Verity..zip.
2. Cat /dev/block/boot > /sdcard/boot. Img and tried patching the boot partition with magisk.
3. Tried extracting the boot.img using Amlogic tools (and got lost)
Does anyone know how I can install magisk on this, it seems strange I can flash the zips and install twrp to recovery but I can't obtain root.

I've gotten myself a X96Max Plus2 that comes rooted without a superuser app or even a root switch. I don't want a box that's slapped together by manufacturers that barely give a f*#k offering root access to whomever asks. I want magisk on this thing!
getting definitive info is turning out to be harder than I thought, I discovered that settings names it differently to it's packaging. all material on the box says S905X3, but AIDA64, Dev Check and other apps only mention a codename Franklin. searching that brought me to a spec page saying it was S905X2.
how many boxes are called a variation of t95, how many of x96 ? kinda annoyed right now.

Yes you can use slimbox .. That'll do it.
Please note you will have to use USB twrp from the update option to flash a magisk patched.img to the mmcblk0 boot partition yourself..after you've flashed slimbox firmware. (sounds worse than it is)
It's a bit pernickety but you'll grasp it... And works well.
Goto the slimbox rom thread s905x3.

I took out my TV box that was released at the time in Android 6.0 and I would like to to upgrade to Android 7.12 minimum,
as a firmware described in https://chinagadgetsreviews.com/download-android-7-1-2-stock-firmware-hugsun-diamond-a9-tv-box.html
Unfortunately, this firmware does not worked to boot directly in micro-USB card. Either, I can not extract this firmware any file in according this procedure: https://www.cnx-software.com/2016/1...otable-recovery-sd-card-for-amlogic-tv-boxes/
As I have only Linux system ... I must to use some procedure describe above.
Any suggestion ?

Hi everyone
In respect of my Post, unfortunately, I did not found any OTA.zip for this TV BOX. In addition, neither an original functional firmware to this device. I tried/tested many roms, and a ROM from T95Z plus TV box works well.
I leave for download a good ROM with Android 7.12 in my MEGA.nz:
