Something draws over my screen all the time - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hi, I am absolutely unable to enable or disable notifications while on website - I just cannot tap it at all. I have no idea why and tried many solutions. I stopped all apps, disabled drawing over screen, but yet no luck.
I also tried this Determine which app is drawing on top of other apps? and well... there's only one line, mOwnerUid=1000 mShowToOwnerOnly=false package=com.android.systemui appop=SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
But I cannot disable that.
Any ideas? I am really desperate Thanks!

[Q] Google Now Nature Picture turned into a Checkered Box?

Hey everyone!
So I'm running Android 5.0 on my Nexus 5 and I ran into an issue other people had in which after enabling 'Invert Colors', the system creates a quick setting within the notification tray that drops down. I then proceeded to follow a fix I found on Reddit in which I connected my phone to my PC through USB and used the terminal with ADB to input a code which reset the systemui, it seems.
The fix worked and removed the Invert Colors quick setting... but now my Google Now page that I swipe left to has a checkered box over where there should be a nature setting. When I tap it, Google does a search for 'test', which is kinda strange. Any idea what this is or how I can fix it? Do I need to reset my phone? I'm not entirely opposed to that option.
I can be kinda OCD about the way my desktop looks on my phone so this glitch is really bothering me! I attached a screenshot of it below.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Disable Google Now but keep microphone?

Hi, I've searched the forums but haven't found anything similar to my issue. We have a very non-popular android device at work..the Intermec CN51, running 4.2.2. This question would probably apply to any device though: is there any way to manipulate the api to disable Google now but keep the microphone function enabled? More detail: because these devices are government-specific, they are pretty locked down. However, certain screen swipes, such as swiping up on the lockscreen, causes the Google Now icon to appear instead of unlocking the screen. I was able to disable Google Now services to get rid of that function. This allows the end user to swipe up, down, whatever, and the lockscreen would unlock. However, this also disabled the microphone on the keyboard. Is there any code or configuration to prevent the microphone from disabling or not displaying? Thanks!

Help with app taking over lockscreen???

Yesterday for the first time I got a strange new lock screen I don't remember installing.... When my phone (Nexus 6) is plugged in, and I wake it up, at first I get my regular stock lock screen. But, when I unlock it, this new strange lock screen appears in its place (the first image - which says at the top "0 Words typed today" and "1% beat global users.") When I tap the three-dot menu in the top right, I get the second screen (says "Boost Charge" and gives me option to uncheck.)
Does anyone recognize this? I guess it's possible it's malware of some kind but I am generally pretty careful. It seems like typing stats, but I only have google keyboard, swiftkey and touchpal installed, and none of those seem to be causing this as far as I can tell.
I would like to avoid a factory reset if I can help it, but I don't like the idea of something I didn't choose being on my phone..... Any help as to how this got here?
Same thing happened to me.
Found out it's SwiftKey. Wasn't even using it, so I just uninstalled it.

I've got the exact same thing. Annoying as hell. Don't have SwiftKey installed. Mine I believe is coming from TouchPal.
I got this to stop without uninstalling TouchPal. In TouchPal settings, go into General Settings and disable Daily Summary, which causes another annoying pop-up screen once a day. Then click on Power Boost and disable that. Exit, exit, exit.
I think the Power Boost, um, feature? is causing those random pop-ups.
Hope this helps somebody else. The keyboard itself is pretty good, so I'm sure some people won't want to uninstall it.

Yep, it's TouchPal. I found the Boost Charge one, but hadn't noticed the separate Daily Summary setting-thanks for the heads up.

Trouble with Gestures

Is anyone else having trouble using gestures with third party launchers? For me, they work just fine and then after some time it reverts to buttons and I get the message "System navigation updated. To make changes, go to settings".
Searching around, it seems like people on other phones don't have this problem anymore.
On a different note, I started using fluid navigation gestures (FNG) and I preferred that since I could add more gestures. Problem is if I'm plugged into the dual screen case and I turn off the dual screen - either by turning the screen behind the phone or manually turning it off - and use the notification shade, then the buttons come back and hide and FNG is disabled until I start using the dual screen again.
Anyone have any solutions?

Same annoying issue! I think it happens every time Nova gets restarted but not sure on that. I've searched for a resolution too and can't find one. I tried creating a tasker profile to make it easier to switch back to gestures via a quick setting but it doesn't work. The secure setting to change is navigation_mode value of 2.

Nova shows you an explanation right on the settings page of the problem. Google has not made gestures 100% compatible with 3rd party launchers and there is nothing devs can do until Google gives them what they need
Yes, I've seen that message. I've also seen that Google delivered this ability in December of last year and that some users have this working fine. It's different from when it would gray out the option to use the gestures. This one feels like LGs software is the one resetting the gestures since the notification is titled System UI.
I'd be fine with any solid gesture solution as I'm not mated to the built in gestures, but it seems like others break due to the dual screen. Meanwhile the built in ones fail. I could of course change back to gestures every time this happens, but it feels like I'm using a beta device in this regard.

I don't think it's LG. My wife has the same issue on her Note10, and I have it in both my V60 and my OnePlus 6t all using Nova. Maybe another launcher has implemented the fix?
So far for me Action Launcher seems to be working ok with gestures, even after a reboot. I prefer Nova but this is close.
edit: Dual screen causes the navigation to revert back

S9+ cannot access accessiblity

Everything is up to date as of the time of this posting.
When I go to settings I see accessibility I click on it and nothing happens it will not open. It has opened in the recent past. I'm trying to get in there to see if there's a setting that will help me with another problem which is that anytime I use speech to text swear words are suddenly censored. F***.previously I have kept all of the buttons on the do not hide offensive words setting. And those settings are still in the off position.
This happens whether I'm using Google assistant or any of the keyboards I have installed.
Thanks for your time
