LG V60 ThinQ Dual Screen AOD? - LG V60 ThinQ Questions & Answers

I have searched and haven't seen this talked about elsewhere. Would it hurt(as in screen burn-in) to keep the Dual Screen case display on all the time? It is really good about activating at the slightest movement, but I was just wondering since it is an option.

Are you referring to the little one in the outside if the case, the mono colored time and notification display?

then it's dust most likely. if you didn't buy your phone new or if it was a refurb, it could've happened when they were replacing the glass. another possibility is that your phone was dropped and it let in a spec of dust.
i'd recommend taking it to an at&t store and telling them.

Dust speck under the screen

I purchased my OG a week ago and today after installing the clear protector on the whole PHONE, I saw the speck of dust under the screen! I also removed the screen protector to make sure! Should I exchange it for another one? Or live with it? It's totally unacceptable for ips display with zero gap?

I would return it, now that you've noticed it you will see it every time you look at the screen.

One slightly annoying thing about the LGOG is that in direct sunlight you can see dots from the screen roughly every centimeter length wise and every 1/2 cm width wise. I'm not sure what they are but they are the size of a pixel.
Sorry for the hijack.. just want to make sure that's not what your seeing. If not I'd return it.

Camera lens is supposed to be scratch resistant sapphire. check out this video

Even with a brand new phone, i noticed tiny scratches ( you have to use a magnifying glass or slowly rotate it in the right light to see)
and phone has been no where near the insides of any pocket or un raised over any surface with my case. it hasn't seen a single touch or wipe.
some have called them surface stress scratches due to manufacturing.

anyone else?
Funny you mention it, my buddies camera was terrible, looked foggy and blurry...his lens is scratched really really badly. My camera works great, but when I looked it was also really badly scratched, we both use the same case too. It sucks that it picks up scratches so easily.

This!!!
There's a few threads in this problem my lense has these marks in it. I can get a definitive answer if it actually affects photo quality. Mine seems to take pretty good photos

its not even g2...the lens is square instead of circle...fakee
To be that badly scratched im not sure how gentle this use was lol,im using mine without a case from when i got it.And it only has 1 superfine minor scratch you can see only in certain angles if you put it directly to the sun.And it was there from when i got it.
yep big long scratch on my Verizon one.

Can't recall....Did that lens ship with protective plastic on it? If so, did you remove it? I literally just discovered I missed the plastic over the volume and power button, so I thought it might be a possibility.

maybe verizon opted out of the sapphire and put glass? mine is perfect
Scratch that... Verizon wireless page says it is:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/device/smartphone/lg-g2
maybe the finish is different.. my D800 looks like it just came out of the box.. I don't use a case
My verizon one looks like crap. Looks cloudy due to abrasions. I am really good about not putting the phone in my pocket with keys and stuff. I don 't know but when I look in the light I see a worn looking spot that does not look right... like abrasion wear or something. I think it affects my picture quality. Don't think pictures are properly focused because of it.

I second this, the fit is anything but good. There are rather large gaps around the screen which defeats the purpose of having a screen protector.
It has poor fitting(large gaps on the side). Pretty thick compare to other protectors. Are you sure you got the temper glass protector? I find it hard to believe you got it for $1. I paid $6 and it's a waste.
I paid $16 for a flexible glass protector by iloome. Now that's worth the money. Great fit.
I have 0 gaps on mine, I think it's user error. If fits perfectly & I even have a case on mine. I purchased 10 of these for 10 different devices & good investment.

I have the spartan glass on the galaxy s5, and by far its the best one I've tried! I was planning to buy the same for the G3 but they are out of stock and then I see the negative reviews!
More to the point, the video actually shows the flaw everyone is talking about: Even though you have pushed the glass further from one side, the other side, still has a small gap! even ignoring that, the fact that you have left space on one side but the other side hasn't gone off the screen means the fit is not perfect. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great value but I can see where the complains are coming from.
Thank man for the video review nonetheless.

I saw no issues with it & fits fine for me. But if worse comes to worse, I'll just contact them & get it replaced. Their CS is AMAZING!
The edges of the screen protector don't go over because the gap is very minimal when I attached it, if I would have removed it & put it on again I'm sure it would have fit fine.
I'm just glad you don't even notice it with a case on it & it doesn't lift at all.

I don't know where all these rave reviews are coming from, maybe I got a bad unit from XtremeGuard. The glass protector is very thick, it feels sticky to the touch, it doesn't line up well and there's no cut out for the camera. If I hadn't ordered it a month ago for 90% off I would have sent it back. Now it will just sit collecting dust.

It can't be user error because if there are gaps its a manufacturing error not a user one. A user can't make the protector smaller.

Exactly. If you have room to push the screen protector over and it leaves a gap on one side then it doesn't fit.
All the protectors I've had that have the "gap" makes them case friendly. I prefer that myself, but to each their own I guess.
I have 0 complaints about the screen protectors

I understand your point, my only issue is the size of that gap. On other screen protectors it's almost non-existent, but this one has a big gap in comparison.

Just curious what anyone on 5.1 is using as a screen protector as the black screen of death plagues my tempered glass 1

Yeah, they all seen pretty hit or miss. I've had the same problem in the past with other phones. I think it's far more likely that the adhesive isn't strong enough than it is dips in the screen. That's usually the problem
