I have scoured the net and frustrated myself trying to figure this out. I have not found an ounce of info on the web about this problem.
How do you get the Google Calendar widget that is included on the galaxy tab to show the widget in full month view?
I have not found this in any options, the widget + sign doesnt give me the option, its frustrating, because it used to do it for me before, but now it doesnt.
I am not interested in another calendar application, so please dont bash google calendar app and tell me to go install such and such app instead.
I have just bought the new Samsung Galaxy S3 in the UK and loving the phone so far, coming from the HTC Desire so quite a big jump ins size and spec ways.
One small problem, I'm having so far is I have added the Google Calendar widget to one of the home screens but when I tap on the widget it doesn't launch the calendar app. When I had the desire, if I clicked on the top of the calendar it would launch the calendar on the current day and if I tapped on one of the appointments the calendar would open up on the day for that appointment, but neither of these are working.
I also can't find the calendar app within the app drawer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
The calender is now called S Planner in the app drawer.

Thanks this worked, I disabled the S-Planner as I thought this was Samsung's own bloatware app. This isn't the default google calendar app though which I prefer, is there a way to disable the S-Planner and use the genuine Google Calendar App. It seems a bit strange to me that samsung have replaced the google calendar with their own version. Not to keen on S-planner
Thanks
I have the same question, is it possible to replace s-planner with google calendar app?

Anybody know where to find google calendar app?
I searched on the Play store and it's on there. Someone pulled it out of ICS 4.0.3.

This is what you are looking for:

hi to everybody,
yesterday i see for the first time the calendar app in the play store, this make me foolish, because it is not the same app pre-installed in every ROM....
if they are really different, in what?
thank you
No need to feel foolish. It was released on Google Play only yesterday. Or 2 days ago, I forget.
But bascially Google Calendar is stock calendar, because usually people have Touchwiz or Sense or Motoblur phones which are all different, skinned Google Calendars.
So Google released the stock calendar for people who want it (if you own a nexus or vanilla android device there's no point in downloading it)

i'm on CM9 (nightly), so the preinstalled calendar is only an old version of google calendar in play store?

No, I'm pretty sure they are the exact same. You can download Google Calendar and compare, though

I think CM's calendar is built from source & themeable via the Theme chooser. I don't know if Google's calendar would be. Functionally I don't think you'd see any difference.
yes, i can't resist without compare, and..... are almost exactly the same:
in the G calendar we have the menu with new help and settings entries and the widget has the top bar blue....
i should install new gapps to see if updated CM calendar is really the G calendar in the store, what do you say?
it is the same
Actually, I have noted one difference between the two - when entering location information for an event, as you start typing it will suggest addresses from your contacts. Tried entering the same exact event details on the built-in calendar and it did not make any suggestions.
This is key for me, as I use the Google Now feature that lets me know when it's time to leave to arrive on time (I'm a computer support technician so I'm always leaving from different locations to go to my next destination). Other than that I haven't found any difference, but that's enough of one for me to use the standalone version instead.

Every second time I open the calendar app (month view) appointments are displayed on the wrong days (but correct time). I almost congratulated a friend on his birthday on the wrong day...
Every other time I open calendar the appointments are displayed correctly.
Yup, the Calendar was all messed up for me just like that.
There was an update for Google Calendar from the Play Store yesterday and it seems to be fixed.
I have the latest version available installed (201404014 from 2014-11-11) and it is still messing around my appointments.

That's not the lastest version, there's one from 2014-11-13 which seems to fix the problem
i got my m20p on thanksgiving eve, been playing with it. It just came to me that my calendar from google is not showing up in the calendar app, where i had no problems with the m9, and m10p. can someone please help me with that??? i did try adding an account to the calendar app, but its saying the account is already being used.
thanks
I gave up with the stock app as it kept complaining about needing internet connectivity & other annoyances while using it, so I've downloaded Google's own Calendar app from the Play Store & removed the built in one. The only issue with this is that when pressing the Date in the notification menu, it doesn't go through to the calendar app (they've hardcoded it to launch com.android.calendar), but that's only a minor complaint really...

In the account settings of the calendar app can't you select your account (smt like [email protected]) in the Gmail account section, and deselect MyCalendar?

No its not there, so i thought it was not link to my account. when i tried adding an account, then it tells me the account has already been links. which i dont see it anywhere to select of deselect.
