as you know, there supposed to be a hebrew locale on android 2.2
I installed obsidian 2.0 and I don't see the hebrew locale in the locale list.
how can I fix it?

I'm not sure about Hebrew locale, but Hebrew language works for me. I use it all the time. In terms of Locale, it's even possible that Android 2.2 supports it, but T-mobile removed it. Either way, I have never heard of supporting Hebrew as a locale, only making Hebrew text readable, which it does well.
You can see on wikipedia that 2.2 contains hebrew locale
also I had an HTC Hero with 2.2 that had a hebrew locale
there are difference between displaying hebrew and having a locale
for example - when having a locale the contact list is sorted via the hebrew "abc" and you can use the bar on the right side to navigate
the calendar and gmail captions aren't inverted when having a locale... etc'

Does it display Hebrew properly? Arabic is broken in Froyo, The letters aren't connected, which obviously isn't an issue in Hebrew, but the letters are also displayed in the wrong order.
edit: Just took a look and it seems to render Hebrew perfectly.

There are already couple of videos in YouTube explaining how to change the BIP language but for now they are only for changing to Czech and Italian. Is there any way for changing the language to English? Or if not at least an English explanation for changing to Italian Because I think it is way easier than Mandarin.. Thank you!

I use the app Notify & Fitness for Amazfit. You can chance the chinese language to english on the watch.Go to extras-amazfit language -chance to english. But if you open the mi fit app chance the back to original chinese language.
Hello, I've seen some guides for the PACE model, didn't know if those need the same procedure. I wish to install Hebrew font and RTL support on my model, and require some help. What do I need to do, what are the firmware differences between the BIP and the PACE models, and how do I make Arabic and Hebrew support on it?

As far as I know (and it's not that much to be honest)
The bip doesn't support Hebrew at all.

the bip run a closed system based on the mi band 2 os, and can't be modified to go Right To Left. in best case scenario, you'll be able to see mirrored Hebrew, and its unusable.
my suggestion is to use it as is.
For Hebrew fonts use this.
It's LTR, but it still better than nothing..

Hello all, I would like to preorder the Amazfit Verge 2 but it's the Chinese version. I want to know if it would be possible to change the language to English because I live and I would like to use the Chinese services. Thanks in advance
this is still unknown information. the watch is Android based, so its logical that it will be possible, at this point, there's not enough information.
Hi I got Gtr yesterday and I have a problem with my notifications. I get them on Greek characters which the watch shows up as ??????? . I had amazfit pace before and didn't have any issues with it,it showed Greek characters normally.
Anyone who can help or give me an advice;;
Or I should just wait for a possible update later on

Try app called Notify and fitness for amazfit. There is an option if you go to advanced settings that's called Transliterate characters and its supposed to change Greek characters into Latin ones (Greeklish)
Ive tried it and i cant get it to work but if more people try it maybe they find something that i didn't... also the app itself is pretty good and has everything.
So please give it a try and let me know also in case you manage to fix the annoying non showing Greek characters thing!
Just fyi i previously owned Amazfit Pace and it showed Greek characters just fine!

GTR doesn't run Android (like Pace), it is more like a BIP with rounded AMOLED screen, so unless you use a third party app or someone finds a way to upload fonts to the watch, it won't work.

If it doesn't support UNICODE now, hardly it will in the future. They may add more fonts that are uploaded/replaced in the future once the watch is paired to the phone and it detects a different language. Someone said it supports German, but I am not sure if it supports all non-Latin characters...

i just tried again Notify and fitness app and it works! at least on messenger, i sent a message in Greek and it came to my watch in Latin characters....

In case of, the Chinese version can display accent on the letters or special letters in notifications (é, ê, ç…) for French people for example, something the Bip can't do. But UI will still be in Chinese.
I have also ordered the watch myself and when I learned of the lack of support for Greek characters I was annoyed.
I sent through the Feedback from Amazfit application on this issue.
It would be great for everyone who has the watch to do the same may they add it to a future update.
I have already contacted support and they are aware of the Greek issue (and other languages also). They said is on their road map... but dont have an exact date yet... who knows.
I am using Notify atm till we get an update
If I use this app, can I remove the Amafit original app and manage all with Notify?

I'm interesting to buy this watch and I hope Huami make an update soon for as, so we can see without problems Greek characters (and other language characters too).
It should be self-evident nowadays... :silly:
But also I would like to know two more things:
1. Does this watch support Notifications from all apps that have Push Notifications or only for some of them, (like Facebook, What's App, Viber and other Messenger apps)?
Basically I'm interested for Reminder Notifications by apps like (Life Reminders, Keep, Splen Do, etc.)
Are these applications supported properly?
2. Is there any character limit when a notification text is large? And if it has, do we have the ability to avoid this limit with a third part application like Notify & Fitness app?

1. ναι σε greeklish Απο το notify & fitness κ μόνο.
2. δεν έχω παρατηρήσει κάποιο limit.
- προφανώς θα θες gps k αν δε φτιάξει μη το πάρεις. φοβάμαι ότι είναι hardware issue -
