LG V60 Notification Lag? - LG V60 ThinQ Questions & Answers

I noticed something with my V60. Sometimes when I pull down the notification shade, the phone gets really laggy scrolling through my notifications. It seems to happen more often when there are more of them. Never had a phone do this before, just curious if anyone has noticed this.
My device is from Telus, Build # QKQ1.191222.002.

I haven't noticed any lagging.
Verizon, same build #, March 1 security patch level, Software version V600VM10c

[Q] S3 lock screen clock lag and general lag

Hello guys,
I recently acquired an international version of the s3. Since I am relatively new to android i have not attempted to modify the phone in any way. I have updated to Jelly Bean through the official update right when i got the phone a few days ago.
Anyways, I have been experiencing some lag issues which none of my friends whom also use the s3 experience. The lag itself is in two ways:
1) When i push a button to turn on the screen, the digital clock displayed on the lock screen lags at times. For example, if it is 10:30, the screen would turn on with 10:28, and then quickly within a second change to 10:30. It always shows the time which is a few minutes behind the actual time, then quickly corrects itself.
2) Sometimes when i receive calls or texts, I turn on the phone and it will display the phone number of the person calling or texting without showing the name / picture which you assigned it on your contacts, AND THEN changes to the contact name / picture. For e.g, If my friend David is calling me, when i take out my phone and look at it i will see 5432669318, but it takes a few seconds for the phone to recognize that that number is David.
I know these sort of errors may be minor, but it ruins a quality of life expected of flagship phones :crying:

is this a known defect? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Help please
The first issue you are experiencing is because the widget is not updated if the screen is off to save power. When you turn the screen on, it will update itself in a few moments and is quite normal. The alternative is that it updates the widget all of the time, which would likely ruin battery life. My HTC handset also does it and whilst I notice it, it doesn't borne me do much now but it did at first.
The second issue may be caused by the device having to reload the contacts database. My low end device does this more often than my high end stuff, but both do it. How many contacts do you have?
Hmm but the clock ALWAYS updates from like 1 to 2 minutes behind and then fast forwards to the correct time, regardless of when the last time i picked up the phone was.
My phone number list has about 120 contacts

Push notifications do not work when screen is off!

Has anyone encountered this problem? After a few minutes of my screen being off, i do not receive ANY notifications for incoming messages (e.g. Hangouts, Whats App,...etc). As soon as I wake up the phone again, I am flooded with pending notifications (some of which are hours late)
The problem is not limited to my phone; as 2 of my other friends are facing the exact same issue on their units.
I am referring to the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue ?
[[Update]] seems this problem is with all lollipop phones. At least where I'm at. I can confirm that the M9, Nexus 5, and Nexus 6 all demonstrate the same behavior.
Bump! Problem still exists. Hoping for someone to shed some light

Anything installed? Like Greenify, or battery saving apps?
Nothing. Stock and straight of the box.
Do you have any battery saving options on?
None. Its has no power saving nor blocking mode activated.
yep. Just got my AT&T 64g edge. with screen off I get no notifications for Gmail, Hangouts, Text or mms. turn screen on and everything suddenly shows up. fresh out of the box, no powersavings or anything on..
I'm seeing the issue on my regular at&t s6. any solutions ?
You do not get the blinking LED notification? Or are you guys expecting an Ambient notification?
In some cases the notification arrives late or in some cases not at all. no LED notification, no sound notification .. nothing!
I'm not sure why this hasn't bubbled up yet .. its quite a serious problem. My old s4 on 4.4.2 handles push notifications like a champ.
Sadly it this issue did bubble up earlyier as this thread was started on the 2nd... about half the time if my screen has been off for a bit I get nothing, and then when I wake it up I get multiple email, text and google hangouts notifications...

Same problem for me -push notifications work intermittently under lollipop - had same problem with my moto x 2014 and now has started with the edge.
I didn't have this issue with my M8, I have it with the S6E though..
Have same problem here. Sometimes works with no issues, sometimes get 4 notifications once the screen is turned on.
Started noticing this as well. Turn my screen on and I will get notifications from email, whatsapp, groupme and a few other apps.
turn off wi-fi
this happens to me on my s6 edge (t-mobile variant) when I have wifi on and am connected to a wifi network.
turn off wifi --> perfect notification behavior
I assume this is a software issue and not a hardware one. I guess Sammy needs to push a fix for this.
I have the same problem, i have been pulling my hair looking for a fix. Brand new s6 edge att model here doing the same thing.
The only solution is to use other email apps other than gmail and it works fine. I'm certain it is a software bug however my wife has an S4 with lolipop and no issues so I'm concerned a bit but now that I have seen this thread it is clear I'm not the only one.
The issue on my phone resolved itself. No firmware updates or anything. Go figure

Recent delay in notifications

my GS9+ is on the verizon network if that matters.
In the last 4-5 weeks my notifications, especially those with sound have become severely delayed. It is especially noticeable with apps such as:
SmartThings (when doors open and close at)
Nine (Exchange email)
HikVision Connect (Doorbell camera motion notifications)
It seems to happen more often when on wifi, but i can't confirm that.
When I get up at work from my desk it is like the phone wakes up and all of the sudden I get 5-10 notifications all at once. This also happens at home. It is like the phone wakes up and catches up with a bunch of notifications that it forgot to report.
SMS notifications don't seem to ever be delayed.
Was there a software update or app update that someone knows that might be causing this problem?
Granted I don't have Verizon at all, but my s9+ isn't having any notification issues.
Did you try disabling battery optimization? I turned mine off so that the phone wouldn't put apps to sleep and etc. Power savings for wifi turned on? If so try making sure that's turned off so your phone stays connected to wifi when the screen is off.
Any of the power savings mode enabled or other power savings apps you may have installed?
Mobile data plan permitting try running the phone on mobile data only (no wifi) to see if the issue happens as well.
Are there other apps effected by the issue your having? If a select number of apps are effected (and others are not) try getting in touch with the app developers and let them know what is going on.

I'm on Verizon. Similar deal. I let a system update get applied "Just security patches, no big deal", and it broke some of my notifications. Not all of them. Just some of them. I thought this was early Sept, but might have been in late Aug.
It's "doze". It used to only happen if your phone sat still for 20 min, but it was supposed to wake up with movement. Now mine kicks on after 3 min and movement doesn't impact it at all. You are supposed to be able to whitelist apps you don't want put to sleep, but it seems to be ignoring that setting for some of my apps. After three min I can send my phone a message, and it won't alert me at all. It's not until I turned on the screen, that they all come rolling through.

Sub Display app crashing

Ever since I updated to 10x update in my LG V60 T-Mobile, I have been receiving a sub display app crashing notification. Model LM-V600TM software V600TM10x. I did a FDR and setup as new but still get this message. Any ideas on how to fix?
Does your AOD malfunction also? Do you get Google nest notifications? Because mine was doing the same thing. The always on display would blink if I had it set to the 10 second time out, or wouldn't work at all if I had it set to always display. And found out that if I swipe away the nest notification, everything works perfectly. Every time there's a nest notification, the always on display goes haywire.

Question Connectivity issues after March 2023 OTA update

Hi Guys,
I`ve started to observe odd connectivity behavior with my Pixel 6 after March 2023 update.
The issue is that at some point (I don`t know if anything or what triggers it) my WIFI status bar icon gets an exclamaition mark (!) next to it and is dropping internet connectivity to 4G mobile data only (WIFI icon dissapears completely). Then, seconds after that, my 4G status bar icon gets an exclamation mark too and WIFI icon shows up again and the cycle continues.
Only solution I`ve found so far is that the phone reboot fixes it for some time. It appears that this latest update messed my phone modem module.
Does anyone of you noticed something similar?

I had the same experience, i thought maybe the signals have become spotty in my area. I mainly use data so i experienced that on 4g only. It is usually fixed after i switch on & off airplane mode.
There seems to be a few things that this update is messing with and it's weird because not everyone is experiencing the same thing. I have the 6 pro and adaptive charging seems to be broken along with wireless charging well at least from my pixel stand. And my battery life is noticably much worse. But my wife's pixel 6 does not seem to have any of these issues at all. Including the one you just mentioned. It looks like they had a problem with some of the features in the feature drop. If that's the case I would much rather have battery stability and reception stability than get these new features that are not crucial to the everyday experience. But Google does what Google wants and each and every. Pixel user is basically a beta tester even if not. In the beta program. They just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks
Same experience. The exclamation marks where there before the march update, but have gotten way more frequent since ..
Are you guys using Blokada 4 by any chance?
