Does safetynet work with unlocked bootloader?
I can't get any computer to recognize my phone, even for file transfer. Tried different chords and different os from win 7 to win 10 and Linux so I gave up.
I'm not new at this and have been unlocking, rooting and flashing since HTC Hero.
I gave up for the first time ever...

European version on MM? No ! It was updated to Noughat long back. If u want US Os, just flash it on G Model with the help of tutorials.

The OTA system is completely broken. EU phones have had 9 Nougat updates already. just get to marshmallow B11, then update to Nougat B09
A quick question from being new to the Axon 7, will this relock my bootloader, and or will I lose my ability to root? I'm on B32, but downgraded bootloader with toolkit, and am rooted with SuperSU. I am loving my Axon 7, having had it 1 month. Previous phone was a POS Sony xperia z4, and the Axon blows it away.

No, and never lock it. You'll end up with a brick if you ever lock the bootloader without getting the phone completely functional and 100% stock (recovery, system)
Thankyou, I never intend to or want it locked. So I assume all I'll have to do after the update is re-flash superSU?:good:

Again. The OTA system is completely broken.
Just take an official zip from the Download Center. It's there for a reason you know
Other than the security patches, seems like a very light update. Does anyone have it yet? Are the improvements mostly under the hood or is there anything actually noticable?
I'm mostly looking forward to Oreo and hopefully fixing the metadata Bluetooth problem.
Nothing noticeable. Updated security patch to December.
As someone that uses auto night light. It is broken now. It is no longer automatic at least with boot password. Have not tried without yet.
If i'm rooted and bootloader unlocked what will happen if I accept the update?

I'm kidding, the worst that would happen is that it would reboot to recovery and not flash

That's exactly what would happen. But no real harm other than your wasted time and bandwidth.
Follow up to my previous post. Even with boot password off. Auto Night Light still broken.

In settings my A2017U says night light will never turn on automatically. C.F.Lumin by Chainfire has been my go to for years. It will work without root also.

I installed it. Turned GPS on high accuracy. Stock auto night light started work. To confirm I uninstalled C.F. Lumen and it is still working. TBH I forgot all about C.F. Lumen as I run it on my tablet.
Hi, guys.
How should I do for updating to pie? Only way to flash it? I flashed orange MCV 8.0, and it doesn't upgrade to pie. But I can download pie firmware from xperifirm. Why?

A little info on your part may help here, ie. the model of your phone or your location as the Android 9 (Pie) has very limited release for the single sim and the dual sim is only slightly better.. There are a few ways to flash firmware a) Sony Flashtool or b) Newsflasher c) Adb, search the XDA a bit there are some excellent guides on how to use both... ( homework time)
Also you may want to mention what OS you have on your computer as installing drivers for adb, fastboot ect. vary for each, windows 7 and 8 are pretty basic but on 10 you will need to disable the signature verification before you can install the drivers and Linux is a whole other thing.. so give us some info.. read a bit and get back to us.

You can have a look here ( https://xpericheck.com/device/G8341 ) and you can see if it has been released in you region yet if not then you won't be able to do it by Ota yet..
Here's how to check your build version (region). I found this method here
Open the dialler
Enter *#*#7378423#*#* and press dial
Tap on Service info
Tap on Software info
Look for Customization Version

This is the official global stable beta android 10!
Downloaded and tried to apply, but got the error message cause mine is EU version ?
https://piunikaweb.com/2020/05/07/xiaomi-mi-note-10-android-10-update-rolls-out-in-stable-version/
I get the same message on the Global 11.0.17.
File was from the miui.com direct download link.
Same message.
Any ideas how to install without losing data?!
This is because your devices is in different region with the rom, if your bootloader is unlocked you can install it with no problem

Yeah, I figured, but unlocking for an early update is not worth it for me, so I will just wait for the OTA.

Yes for me too - V11.0.17.0.PFDEUXM.
Also, anyone noticed when checking "What's new" section it shows that it is not accesible and required permission for the account signed in has to be granted? Have not seen that before.. And also when clicking "download latest package" - it shows like error and asks to wait a minute or two and try again? Have anyone experienced that?
Finally android 10 update on my mi note 10 Global EU
Just got it here In Sweden
Just got android 10 on mi note 10 global
Hi all!
As i understood android 10 should arrive around end of june earliest ans should come with miui 12.
1. I just received a security patch update with side note it would be based on Android 10! Funny enough it seems to be full android 10 but with miui 11 according to the settings menu.
Am i the only one which got confused here? Can you explain why i got android 10 with my UI 11?
2. Before this patch/android 10 update i received so the live wallpaper update (mars, earth) etc. which i installed seperatly 2 weeks ago. Update tool for this reason showed i had to delete older version of this wallpaper now update is shown as completed but i cant choose the live wallpapers from MIUI system directly. Can you offer a solution here?
Thx in advance
Got one today. Woohoo. Android 10.
Anyone got a download of EU A10?

I have a Mi 10 (codename umi) currently on MIUI 12 Global Stable v12.5.8.0(RJBEUXM). I've seen the MIUI 13 update available via Fastboot or Recovery modes for it but idk how to do it that way. Can anyone tell me when it will get the OTA update? My model says it's eligible to receive it but I can't seem to find anything about when that might eventually be. Thx ₍˄·͈༝·͈˄₎◞ ̑̑

Hi. Version V13.0.1.0.SJBEUXM was shipped via OTA, but in the end it has been reverted due to detected bugs. You have to wait longer until the next one is released.

Thx much, I wasn't aware of that. I finally received the OTA update & am now on 13.0.4.0(SJBEUXM)
The MIUI 13.0.4.0 SJBMIX has been out for a couple of days now.
I'm using it with magisk and adaway and it's working fine, but missing out on thousands off adds makes me feel sad, because now I don't even know wether I don't want the products I didn't even know I didn't want. Does that even count as living at all?
My wife owns a Mi A3 EEA V11.0.10.0.QFQEUXM, is there a chance she will have A11 one day ?
Ehm, yes? Plus plenty ROMs here.
I don't want to install a custom ROM, onlmy the stock one, it seems that QFQEUXM are not update since 2020 and blocked in A10
Sadly, we can never trust an OEM any more (could we ever?)...

if your phone doesn't receive OTAs just load the last one through recovery. mine stopped getting OTAs since summer of 2020 and I have to apply updates with recovery ever since.
