Help me please.
I can't update Xperia 1 J9110 via OTA or Xperia Companion. The last firmware J9110_55.1.A.3.107 is not a problem even though it failed several times through Xperia Companion. Notifications always appear:

if the flash is reset, of course all applications, files, contacts etc. will disappear, this is what I don't want. If flash is easy, just use flashtool or newflasher.
Can anybody make please tutorial how to flash. I have similar problem. I tried flashtool and it failed to flash and new flash bricked the phone. So i had to use repair.

Okay guys.
Here is new X10flash for Firmware 2.1 Version (old 1.6 Firmware can not be flashed with this at the moment).
Windows 7/Vista Users should diasable UAC!!
Download Flasher: (Update 14.11.2010) GUI VERSION!!!
http://www-stud.uni-due.de/~sfanmakr/X10Flash/X10Flash-2.1.zip
HOWTO for Flasher here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8976947&postcount=1
You will see that there is a new Folder "firmware" the firmware files must be inside this folder!
Download Firmware:
X10i:
http://www.multiupload.com/G9TENJASZI Nordic Thanks to imugur and Reb0rn
http://www.multiupload.com/RTIIRCEN79 GERMAN
http://www.multiupload.com/YM6SANFJXK CH (thanks to pippolino)
X10a:
http://www.multiupload.com/M048IDMI4L ROGERS (thanks to henh)
http://www.multiupload.com/ZGI6JWKIPG GENERIC (thanks to BluechipJ & batman112)
Put the extracted files into the new "firmware" Folder and run the X10flash.bat
SO-01:
http://www.multiupload.com/E3C7FRFAQ9 DOCOMO (thanks to indigomode)
You have to wipe your USERDATA !! This is important, otherwise you will enter Bootloops etc.
Also be sure SEUS is NOT running! (But at least it should have detected your phone once)
THIS FIRMWARE IS ONLY FOR X10 NOT FOR MINI (PRO) or X8 !
But the flashtool should be capable of flashing all Xperia Series now!
If someone decrypts the Rom you can try it
Regards
Bin4ry
If you have more ROMS, just drop me a PN and i will add them to this post!
IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS LIKE "Unable to Open Channel" please try this guide:

It's probably stated somewhere in the original thread, but see THIS for UAC and the flashtool for data.

Are you doing that before running the flashtool? If not do so, by running seus just past the point of putting it in to flash mode, then try again.

Have you tried starting windows in safe mode? I read somewhere in here that starting Windows in Safe mode will allow you to install the drivers without any problem.

r-e-a-l-l-y ?? this is just as easy as strap ur socks on .... in case u will have to do it another time i write here the steps:
0.5: DON'T CONNECT PHONE NOW!
1. dl & install flashtool (install it in ''C://'' / maindrive not in other folders!) go to the drivers folder (of flashtool install) & install the drivers you need for your phone.
2. download & place a .ftf file (latest avaiable STOCk ROM file) in the ''firmaware'' folder of flashtool install.
3. open flashtool (not the ''flashtool64'' ); click on flash (icon); select flashmode. select the wanted FW (software to install) leave all untouched ; ONLY tick in ''EXCLUDE'' on ''TA''
4. start flash, flashtoll will tell you to connect the phone. connect the (powered off) phone WHILE HOLDING volume down (may differs on phone model, use google then). grenn light will lit, flashtool will start doing the job. after all finish, disconnect phone & DONE.
NOTE: you need to install the android SDK (more important the google USB drivers, which will install by default) if your phone dont get recognized by pc/ flashtool
SONY FORUM (intruction with pictures & u can download there the ftf files ) http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Android-development/GUIDE-How-to-Install-Jelly-Bean-ICS-Ice-Cream-Sandwich-and/td-p/154389

Hello guys. I have a problem with my Z2. Recently and unfortunately i have updated to 6.0.1 and now i want root access on my phone to install viper4android but i couldn't find any solution. I will give all the information and you can suggest me what to do.
Phone: Sony Xperia Z2
Model: D6503
Build Number: 23.5.A.0.575
Kernel: 3.4.0-perf-g43a728
Bootloader: Not unlocked but in service menu shows it can be unlockable (however official sony site doesn't show my phone to get the code)
What should I do in this case?
If I need to downgrade, I am okay with 5.1.1 but I don't know how to downgrade with locked bootloader.
If this is the case how do i downgrade?
Is there anyway to unlock bootloader at the moment for sony devices?
Is there any root method for 6.0.1 or will be soon for Z2?
Anything could work please help..
PS: English is not my native sorry for mistakes. Thank you all.
Another topic with this question.
So, for downgrade, you don't need unlocked bootloader, just use Flashtool program, install drivers for device and Flashmod and flash FTF for your device model.
For now, no way to root Android 6 with locked bootloader.
You can always unlock the bootloader, once in service menu is positive status (Yes).
If you want to unlock bootloader, use official metod for example, but don't need for this (unlock bootloader, flash custom kernel and ....), , only to install sound mod.
That is the problem, look at official sony web site, my device is not on the list for bootloader unlock. So can you offer me a guide how to downgrade to 5.1.1, a noob friendly guide.
1. Download and install the program flashtool by Androxyde. - http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
2. Install drivers from installation folder /Drivers - Driver for model Xperia and Flashmod drivers.
3. Download FTF file for YOUR MODEL DEVICE with 5.1.1 from here for example:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934
and copy to folder with Flashtool/ Firmwares
4. Start Flashtool and click on Flash icon.
5. Choose Flashmod (not Fastboot), and find the FTF, that you download before with 5.1.1
6. Follow the guide in the program Flashtool and all will be the OK,

Hey man, first, you need to downgrade to KK (.314 it´s the best one) and then root and install recovery, then update to LP .232 or .264 and then go to MM,follow the instructions that Monipeev gave to you (but choose .314 fw) and then follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...ck-d6502-03-23-4-0-546-completeguide-t3171219 Hope you get it
Bro i don't want MM right now. I just want root access so if its 5.1.1 i am okay with that. Monipeev i will try your method and notify you about the result tomorrow.

Okay after this how do i root the easiest way? kingroot one click apk ? or you suggest something else for locked bootloader bro ?
Go through the steps of Root compilation .264 Android 5.1.1, with a version of the application Kingroot that uses the author of the video.
After root success, replace Kingroot with SuperSu.
Root Android 5.1.1, .264

it was about drivers. i have installed all of the drivers (even those i don't need) in flashtool folder. also windows installed semc and somc drivers by itself and i have successfully flashed. i hope i dont get bootloop because its been 2 minutes and im still waiting for it come to menu btw i didn't wipe the userdata and applog while flashing.
Edit: just a last thing how do i replace kingroot with supersu, i can google it but since you are guiding me through this
Edit2: okay no bootloop awesome, now the only thing left to do is rooting. thank you so much for your help bro. i will notice you if i have a problem again. i hope this thread will be helpful for others too like me
I think if you follow this guide, you will finish ok:
http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html?m=1
there is a program called superSuMe apk. does it work ? any idea ?
I'm sorry, but I have no experience with this app.
At least that is described in its description.
wow now i get ''unfortunately the process com.android.media has stopped'' message and phone keeps resetting..
Edit: i think i will reflash with wipe options..
Surely it would be better.
its done
I used flashtool to downgrade my Android 6.0.1 Xperia m4 aqua to android 5.0 but when i try to flash it i get an error about the Partition.sin and Userdata. When i tried again but without flashing userdata and partition.sin my phone got 5.0 but it restarts everytime i turn it on.
I also tried with Xperia Companion to repair it But i also get an error UEGetPhoneInfoMissingInfo. So im stuck in 6.0.1
(I got the Bootloader Locked btw )
i wanna downgrade it to root the phone without unlocking the bootloader.
Is There any way to downgrade it?
Sorry for my bad english

Hi all,
I need some help I think. I searched everywhere and I kinda lost hope.
I unlocked my bootloader of my G8341 and a few months ago I got a working version of AOSP, but all of a sudden my phone didn't get past the Sony logo. My data is already lost, that's no harm, of course I made tons of backups
Tried to get back to stock rom with the latest Flashtool, but with no succes.. I think the combination of oem/vendor/boot is not right.
Of course I know that this could be a consequence but I would like to get my phone up and running.
Would like to get some pointers.. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. Do you get an error related to the model in flashtool? If so, flash it via newflasher. There are guides online on how to prepare the firmware. I had this issue after carbon rom.
