Hey , i just updated the android 10 in my (secondary) device and the always on display stays only for 5secs . Do anyone knows how to keep it always on. I am in stock EU rom.
So i fix it by updating some apps from the google playstore. I think it is good to know
Was happening to me as well, AOD either turned off by itself after a while, or didn't turn off with proximity sensor covered. "Somehow" it got fixed after few hours, hope it stays functional.

I can not unlock after sleep.
The screen lights up with the power button.
But swiping the screen does not react.

In Recovery Mode (TWRP), I can swipe the screen to unlock even after sleep.
Case 2
I can use it without problems until you sleep or lock after powering on from power off.
However, after locking with sleep or power button, the screen lights, but you can not swipe.

Well, this can be one of two issues:
1. Hardware issue, and a very weird one. Almost one-of-a-kind.
2. What MIUI version have you tried? 8.5.10 MIUI 8? You can also try MIUI 7 or the MIUI 9 beta. Try all of them and see if any of them works.

My Redmi Note 2 has the MIUI 8 8.5.1.0 and no problems here. For MIUI 7 you can try 7.3.3.0 and for MIUI 9 have you tried 7.9.15? If not try these ROM versions and report back.

I have flashing rr 6.0 and cm 13.0 and so on based Android 6.0. But except dinolek lineage worked, other's lock screen touch not work sometimes. It's wired. I don't think it's hardware's issue
Exact same problemfor me too. It's not Touch panel problem. I ordered new Touch panel + LCD + frame replacement. After replace still same issue.
If the device goes to sleep -wake up, touch panel stop working.
After reboot phone works perfectly until it sleeps again.
I have a problem when i turn off screen after couple of minutes ( sometimes after 1 minute)dont get any notification from Messenger Facebook etc how to fix this Try all Roms and kernels from forum and some working other not why this happened ? Other phones dont have this problem

It's beacuse the rom attends deep sleep. But still notification are checked at particular time intervals. I am using NITROGEN OREO and used LOS 14 ...both don't have any problem like this.
Now using nitro 8.1 and is working ( must test more time) but still get delay in facebook messenger when screen is off for 1/2 min i get delay 8/15second but if i have screen off for more time like 5 minutes or more delays is couple of minutes or dont get and must turn on screen .. (In other phone can get screen off for 20 minutes or more still get instant notification)
Hi guys, yesterday I downgraded my phone from 11.0.6 to 9.4.12 because of bad battery life on miui 11. But the problem now is that miui 10 screen cast is really bad. And I use that a lot to watch movies on TV. Anyone has a workaround for this and can suggest an app or anything I can do?
On miui 11 the screen cast app didnt disconnect everytime. Also when you cast on your tv, after sometimes it turns off the screen to save battery. On miui 10 the screen stays on all the time.
Hope someone can help, If not I'll need to flash another rom on the phone.
on MIUI 11.0.6 you have the option to continue screen cast with screen off.
I use it myself.

Yea that's what I'm missing when I went back to miui10. Right.now I'm am latest PE. The screen cast is better than on miui10 but it still doesn't turn off the screen while casting.

when i try to call someone it will randomly go to dark screen
proximity sensor in testing apps does not work correctly
i tried removing the screen protecting glass and case it still persist
i thought this issues might have been fixed with the new update it doesn't guys should i return this device and get new one
Mi 11x pro uses a ultrasound chip for the proximity sensor and this works combined with other sensors like the gyro. So when you put the earpiece to your ear it detects an orientation change and switches the display off. I'm currently on indian miui v12.5.2 and don't face the issue you mention. Slow movements are known to confuse the phone. Other than that the screen shouldn't switch off after initiating the call unless you change its orientation. Testing apps work with orientation change.

Almost all of the sensor apps fail this, but in call I have no problem whatsoever.
Are you having trouble during calls?

I have the same problem on my Mi11i... well... my problem is that the screen wont turn on when I move my phone away from my ear... the screen stays off, i cant get it to turn on even if i press the power button. Annoying as hell... You call someone, he doesent answer, and you cannot cancel the call because the screen is black and no way to turn it on! Or to check a phone number or email.... I will send it back as a warranty isue....
The problem is with MIUI 12.5.4.0, we need to wait for the fix with newer version of MIUI or try to install xiaomi.eu ROM

Was this issue also present on ColorOS?

I haven't encounter any screen flashing
I have same issue, tried turning all off, did help, but i need fingerprint unlock... Autobrightness does not work at all, just dimms the screen a bit when turned on, and goes bit up when turned off, no changes in light or dark room
So i believe i figured it out, it is connected to always-on display features, which includes animation for fingerprint unlock. There is an option to turn off animation for fingerprint when display turned off, but then you have to turn on the screen before using fingerprint...
Also this phone gets pretty warm when only looking youtube or browsing, when on 120Hz refresh rate. I used setedit app to reduce it to 90Hz, much better battery life and no heat...
One last solution for the screen flickering, turn off always-on display, and turn off fingerprint animation only, it is under security/fingerprint/fingerprint animation setting, just choose none, it still litghs up the fingerprint, but has no animation, and most important, no screen flicker...
The same problem, flashing, removing the fingerprint, and using the pattern, the problem is gone

Yes, I had a region lock, after contacting the seller. It was opened with TeamViewer, now 3 weeks. There are no region lock messages.
So the seller could remove it? Mine keeps saying only oneplus can remove it. Did you what he did? I am nit sure if it completely removed or just blocked... The bigger issue is these software issues, especially flickering which could damage the screen... I wonder if these issues exist on all oxygen os phones, or only on these flashed from color os

So turning off lighting for fingerprint fixed the problem for good?
Yes, turning off any always on display features, which includes animation and lighting for fingerprint does eliminate the problem.. i suppose it is some drivers for AOD that are incompatible. Same goes for light sensor, if you test it with software the problem is obvious, light sensor does not work at all, it is recognized, but it does not react to light changes.
Hi All,
Could anyone comment on the minimal requirements to avoid flickering and potential random restarts? At this stage I turned off AOD, turned off fingerprint for locking/unlocking (only use pass + face recognition) and turned off the auto brightness. With these settings the flickering/random restarting problem is gone. I just wonder whether there is a solution with potentially fingerprint for locking/unlocking off, but with auto brightness on and with at least basic AOD on. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi I have the same issue screen flickering and diming after turning one the screen with in addition and the most problematic the call is blocked by a message concerning the region.
If I make a factory reset the calls work work a time then the same problem comeback
