Android 10 Kernel For Moto G5S Plus (Custom ROM)?! - Moto G5S Plus ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other D

I can't seem to find a kernel for a Moto G5S Plus running a custom ROM with Android 10. Does anybody know of one?

Mady's Extended Kernel aka madkernel
already present in msm extended and arrow os , it is the fastest kernel for moto g5s plus

But you can change only the kernel, man...
Hope this helps.

Both have similar performance as both have same kernel but msm has lots of customizations whereas arrow is known for simplicity and very less customisationd

Okay, thank you. I have one last question though. Do you recommend to clean flash or dirty flash? Which is the best way to flash the ROM without losing all of my apps and their data?
EDIT: Also, which version of MSM Xtended XQ should I install? 5.0, 8.0 or 9.0? It says that 5.0 is the most stable, but in the title it says 8.0, but the latest version is 9.0, so I am very confused...

I flashed the 9.0 version with Open GApps nano (clean flash (had to remove everything because I didn't know this)), and when I installed a kernel manager I saw that there isn't a lot of options for CPU governors, GPU, governors, and I/O schedulers. These are the ones I have:
CPU Governors:
interactive
conservative
ondemand
userspace
powersave
performance
GPU Governors:
spdm_bw_hyp
bw_hwmon
venus-ddr-gov
msm-vidc-vmem+
msm-vidc-vmem
msm-vidc-ddr
bw_vbif
gpubw_mon
(All of the ones above doesn't work)
msm-adreno-tz
cpufreq
userspace
powersave
performance
simple_ondemand
I/O Schedulers:
noop
deadline
cfq
anxiety
My question is... Is this normal to have this few options, or is it supposed to be more? I've switched custom ROM a couple times (I've had AEX (AOSP Extended), Lineage OS, Havoc OS, Pixys OS and Evolution X) and they have all had a few more options to choose from.

[Q&A] What Kernel to use with LineageOS?

Hello guys,
I'm a little confused on what kernel i should install on my phone.
I really want to know what do you think it would be the best option and why about the kernels available for Onyx running on LineageOS 14.1.
BR because simpler & really good balance with reactive governor.
actually i am satisfied with arsenic kernel and impulse gov
The settings are more importent as the kernel, try boeffla, arsenic or BR.
I you want to save some battery: use L Speed

I had like 1 hour more SOT.
1. install latest beta of l speed (look i the xda thread of l speed, how to get betas)
2. download my zip and place the file in sdcard > LSpeedBackup
3. restore backup in the App
4. if you don't use interactive based gov, turn govtuner off

It really works well on AOSP Extended Mod
On Latest Linage an EAR it stuck at first booting
And I don't understand why at that kernel Linux version solo old - some port limitation?
Course I remember that in oldest version Linux kernel was newer.
Hope you will continue porting that kernel - amazing work again!
Last thing what left to fix on our device for Max performance it's f2fs in recovery

Which in relakt could give you better performance and battery life.

I see only two bugs.when I charge the phone, performance is going down. It is first. And the second, sometimes performance is going down with normally use with black kernel without root and changing governors. I can't have a root because I use bank app :/
What can I come back from black kernel to stock kernel?

By the way I find your settings a little bit laggy why you don't switch to sio sequlder and interactive cpu governor? I find them more responsive and battery friendly

Did you try flashing one of these versions ?
The only difference between this kernel versions is wifi location and maybe encryption(I forgot if there is big difference, as far as I remember there were problems when using the same boot.img for both roms), so if you flash omni kernel version on carbon rom, your wifi will not work and probably encryption. Try and see if it works, if not, just send me boot.img of resurection remix rom and I will fix it.

I know it's for Oreo and that img file I linked is rr oreo's boot.img. I meant carbon version by writing carbon v(not 5,etc). Really waiting to see the combination of your kernel and rr, cause i think the serious flaw with rr is its kernel. There is but not fully functional, I will just port kernel to it, and all is left to do is fix bugs in rom.
I have posted test version on discord https://discord.gg/krRBhje
Have tested it on Z2. It just makes the screen black. Until I restore my stock kernel.
Any possibility to port it to Z2 ?

Optimus Drunk is default kernel in Crdroid now and was default in Havoc and Evolutionx untill silver core is added.
I used Optimus Drunk with Crdroid and Havoc also. It is smooth with balanced battery life.

Not found any major bugs that hamper daily use.
Rom is smooth with optimus drunk kernel and it comes with pixel goodies, so no need to flash gapps.
Some exclusive pixel features like live captions are also present.

I'll surely try it. Now trying out the miui eu+seshstation 67hz kernel
crDroid is my favourite. Pixel experience Plus isn't far behind.

Seshstation kernel is fine, but I don't feel any differences at 67 htz. For me, on the first boot, the screen was off a few times, but it worked after a few reboots.
Good luck.
