I am working on an android mobile application. I am looking specifically for vowifi calling features which are currently supported by many telecom operators.
is there any way to check whether my device supports wifi calling or not?
Can I enable wifi calling programmatically if device supports the same

Hi to all, i have a question about architecture of android OS, and i would have an answer before i start develop my custom android OS.
I would like to know wich "component" of android OS take decision about which network interface use for sending and receive data. As we know, if our system has a 4g network active and is connected to a wifi network too, all network data goes through wifi connection.
I would like to know which is the portion of os that "take" this decision, and if is possible to modify it for manage network connections and traffic forwarding in different way as default (for example send automatically an email with 3g network also if a wifi network is active).
Hello,
Does anyone have any information as to how to enable wifi calling feature on my lumia 920?
Thanks!
That strongly depends on Your mobile operator infrastructure plus enabling conf. then on your device
So, I see Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE is available in PA. I have the Verizon G3 (Obviously) and use T-Mobile as my carrier. Is it possible that the Wi-Fi calling would work for me since I'm on T-Mobile? Is it easy to merge? Does the modem have to be reworked or anything?
Does the anybody know how to enable/disable HD-Voice (AMR-WB) for making a call in 2G/3G network at the latest MIUI ROM 8.1.1.0?
Hd voice is Lte feature
No, it is not only LTE feature. HD-Voise as term is mentioned using G.722.2 as its wideband codec during a voice call and calls it Advanced Multirate – Wideband (AMR-WB).
AMR-WB has been standardized 3GPP for using in GSM and UMTS networks as well as in LTE.
For example T-Mobile became the first GSM/UMTS based network in the US to enable AMR-WB.
Please refer to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wideband_audio and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_Multi-Rate_Wideband
I tryed to make a voice call in 3G network using Mi5s plus phone and HD-voice works as well. So its mentioned that our device just not support this feature in the last official ROM.
So i got my Mi 8 Pro yesterday (Global Version). The one feature I cannot seem to activate is Wifi Calling, I have done both the *#*#86583#*#* (voLTE) and *#*#869434#*#* (voWIFI), both options are enabled in *#*#4636#*#* and when i go into my sim settings both VoLTE and Wifi Calling are enabled
voLTE shows the symbol in my task bar however wifi calling never seems to enable? Is there some other setting I am missing or do I need to get EE to disable and re-enable it on my account since I've swapped phones? It's vital for me as I work in a lot of places without cell reception so i rely on wifi calling.
Any help is appreciated

Hello, my friend is also like you, he is the development version of WiFi can not be used but the stable version of the MIUI system can be used. You can try to re-wire the stable version of the MIUI system, I wish you good luck.
