The way i do it is to port out the maximum of the Pixel 4 XL Firmwares actually. That could give us the Option to use the native Pixel 4 XL App from the Play Store if all goes right. So no need for a GCam Mod.
But for now should any GCAM Version work (worse or better) if there is any. I wasn't able to get any 6.X or 7.X Cam to work no matter what i did. But well, i never did a GCAM Mod by myself so dunno how hard that would be...

Oh, that sound amazing, when this project will be in phase beta, I'm installing in my device. Please, when gcam works in your SOM, update the post, you could have a lot of downloads.

I'm going to follow this project, waiting for more advanced versions to start testing your kitchen

Hello, how is doing this project? Whats news we have?

Actually i had hard Times caused by a lack of a Windows PC, but i just hacked My Chromebook and installed Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on it. It's all a bit different but it will do the Job now...
Think i will release a first stable Version of My Work next week... Will use the Weekend for Testing and fixing everything

BETA1 uploading... Reduced to the minimum of my content to solve all bugs. Audio and Performance is improved besides many other optimizations and additions. More to come... Enjoy the Audio Quality <3

Thanks for this!! Is the audio and performance comparable to the stock software or is there still room for improvement? ?? Can we install gcam now??
Please, describes the audio enhancements.

It is what i always did. Adding and optimizing Configuration Entries from all possible android Devices step by step. I'm on around 400 from 1200 Lines currently. I enabled a lot of stuff already but a lot of System Content that is related to some entries is missing actually due to Bugs. I'm taking focus on PHHs AOSP GSI with GApps right now which gives the best Results for Me with the actual SOM Tests of BETA2. The Sound is crazy loud and strong. YouTube plays 4K HDR 60FPS Videos just fine with original YouTube app and the Audio Input and Call Quality should also be better for everyone. There are also Hardware related optimizations and enhancements for the Display, Camera and other Sensors...
You can see all changes on GitHub combined with Googling all the stuff to find out what it does and is for (Mostly). I'm by the way the only Person around the World who has found, combined, documented and tested that many Configs for Android. A lot of little common Tweaks in the last Years are coming from My sharings.
BR
Edit: The Audio Output Quality isn't fully improved yet but i would say it's beyond Stock in terms of quality (even without Dolby). It's with Xperia OS just to generic from SONY without any Love in the Details. Stock was fine compared to a Stock iPhone but there is a lot more possible...

Looks like i've optimized and improved the Cameras a lot. I have just enabled some CameraAPI2 Functions that are non available on Stock. 4K 60FPS Videos are also no Problem anymore using Open Camera from the best Camera Devolper so far (Open Camera can do anything that Android is able to). Only side effect is actuall that the Devices are getting really hot while playing Media. But think that will be fixed in the Final BETA2...
Edit: Display Color Calibration is also optimized and working on GSIs now including HDR functionality...

Bit quiet ?

Will be keen to see this progress for the Xperia 1 ii

BETA2 coming. Fixed all Bugs on Stock. Optimized a lot under the hood. Added Audio functions such as Monitor Rotation (Channels change on base of the actual rotation state), Google Pixel UI with Black Dark Mode, Audio Recorder, Pixel Launcher, Theme Manager and so on. Hope You will enjoy it! A Video Preview is also incoming!
(PS: Please avoid using the Gesture Navigation since it's broken with the Pixel Launcher. QuickSwitch for Magisk may fix that, or you can try to install a third Launcher from the Play Store. Sorry for that!)
@cd993 Thread Comes today. Just need Testers

It's what i started on the Nexus 6 and what others started also doing. ROMs without including basic Firmware Parts that are needed to run the System. Or how i call them since i started with the actual Project. SOM (Systemless on Memory). Since all changes can be reverted with the flashing of the same Zip which was used to install it, thanks to the Magisk Module Logic. Reboot and You are on Stock again. Same for Updates. Just go into Magisk, select the new Module and the rest is Magic... Haven't seen such an advanced Zip on the Web anywhere else so i think it's great to be an Xperia User actually

That's so cool to hear! I currently have a Oneplus 7 Pro, though for many reasons the Xperia 1 ii has enticed me to my first ever Sony device.... and I can't wait. It looks a solid piece of hardware (screen, front speakers, notification light, slim design, cameras, wireless charging etc) and so I am super excited to load a custom rom on it.
So if my understanding is correct, is MARS_SOM essentially a magisk module that is loaded and to revert back to stock, simply disabled?
I love the sound of this, as it keeps all stock features/stability yet adds so much enhancement and tweaks to it!

[MOD]Camera Mod - Enhanced Camera by Jordon F (JF-Gino)

Welcome to my Honor 8 Camera Enhancement Tweak.
Here you will find tweaks that should make your Honor 8 camera even better.
Hoping to get better quality out of this phone & seeing no real mod work happening, I decided to tackle improving this camera for myself. I have tested my tweaks extensively in all modes with my Honor 8 FRD-L04 model ever since I got it back in December of last year. I am confident that this tweak gives us the best performance out of our camera(s) without compromising the complex nature of how the dual sensor stuff works.
What does this mod do :
Basically, you should have in general better resolved photos with more detail, dynamic range, better low light performance and overall exposure handling. You will also have slightly higher quality video as well.
Enhancement Tweak Version 1
Full details of this tweak outlined below to the stock Honor 8 camera :
- Jpg Compression Quality set to 100%
- Larger Image Buffer
- Higher Bitrate 1080p Video Recording (28mbps)
- Better Chroma Conversion between B&W & Colour Sensor
- Higher rate of B&W Sensor Detail mixed with blend matrix
- Larger colour information flow from colour sensor in blend matrix
- Better overall handling of ISO exposure settings
- Better low light performance
- Less noise in low ISO
- More aggressive handling of high ISO aliasing
- Extra frame of bracketing for HDR modes
Hit Here for a sample of the results from this tweak :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71516365&postcount=12
Note : Your images will now be significantly larger then before, on average between 6 to 8megs and over 12 to 16megs using DOF Focus mode.
Videos will also have larger filesizes as the bitrate has increased.
Hit Here for a sample of the file sizes & bitrate reported from this tweak :

Question: Does it work on nougat?
Answer: Even tho Im using Marshmallow, it seems to work on my friends phone with nougat but Im not guaranteeing it as I don’t know if any of the camera dependent system files changed.
Question: What is all this stuff and do you even know what your doing?
Answer : Sure……………
Question: How do I know what all this funkiness does and if it all works?
Answer: Im bloody magic, that’s how.
Question: Can you get the black & white sensor only to work like the P9?
Answer: No More Questions!
DISCLAIMER!
Please keep in mind that even tho my tweak works amazeballz on my phone, I can not be held responsible for any damage, craziness, you phone getting drunk at night and having sex with your girlfriend or even Trump getting angry at you and causing thermonuclear war. Please back up your system partition, nandroid, hemorrhoid or polaroid your phone to be safe before flashing strange zips barring candy.
Steps for installation :
You Obviously need to be rooted with custom recovery.
1) Restart in TWRP
2) Make a backup – nandroid etc.
3) Flash my zip file - Note - Make sure you have mounted r/w all required partitions - Thanks @cvkef
4) Reboot
5) Phone boots up and camera claims to know where the arc of the covenant is
- Joking! But … Camera should be working as advertised
Update 1 - Included now is a zip to flash back to stock settings
Thanks to @Telperion for the files to flash back to stock :good:
Update 2 - Magisk Support!
Thanks to @Telperion there is now a Magisk Module attached below for this tweak!
Hope you enjoy my mod! Keep fit and have fun!

For original recovery??

Thank you, JF-GINO - sounds very interesting. Do you think it should work, at least in theory, on the European models as well (L-09)? Did anyone try it on the newest Nougat version(s) B360 / B380 on L-09 yet and can confirm that it is fully functional? A further suggestion: Maybe you could upload a flashable .zip with the "old", standard settings of the camera in case people encounter any problems. Thanks again, looks very promising!
Will be trying this once I have twrp installed. Thanks for the work.

TWRP.
Just made some trials with poor lighting and it looks a bit less grainy. Nothing revolutionary obviously but noticeable and much appreciated. Thank you!
Are there some comparison samples?
Flashed on FRD-L09 B120. Seem like social sharing from the Camera App is broken since then at least for me. Additionally the "smart wiping" feature of the fingerprint sensor is gone. But that isn't necessary related, had the problem before for a short time.
UPDATE - Ok, nevermind, it was probably unrelated. Phone needed a couple of reboots and a cache flush, now everything works again as expected.
Hi dev congrats for your work!
I installed lineage 13 on my Honor and I'm not satisfied of camera, even using 3rd part app. Can I flash your mod or it's only for emui?
Thanks in advance.

This should work on all models as the camera depended files are all the same. As for Nougat, I have tried it on a phone with B360 and it seems to work but I dont know what they did in the update to improve the metrics for the camera as Im still on MM. Im assuming they left the dependencies alone and just updated the camera app itself as nougat users have not complained yet & are getting the same positive results.
As for a rollback zip or uninstaller, I was going to put one together but I realized I did not keep any of the original files since a Nandroid back in early January. after that, I was using settings from the P9. I also dont know if each version has slightly different files as stock either. This is why I released it this way and stressed you do a backup. Maybe later if I have the time I can look into extracting the original files from a stock rom.

If Lineage is CM based then no, I would think that none of this would work on that rom. The stock emui camera app is dependent on this mod. Sorry.

As for video quality, the raised bitrate should speak for itself.
So, if I understood correctly, there is no point of using this mod in Nougat has it already has the same improvements implemented?
nevertheless, great job!
Hi @JF-GINO,
Is there any safe way to validate that the patch is applied? (photo filesizes seem the same)

Wrong, I never said that... these improvements are mine alone.. I did however indicate that I thought the file dependencies did not change from MM to Nougat. This mod should work on both and was tested on nougat with no Ill side effects. If there are any problems tho, I would like to know.

Hmmm,...
Standard default filesizes should be between 2 & 3 megs max depending on the detail in the image.
My settings increase this as per my screenshot examples below of both file size & video bitrates after the mod. Remember that if you take a photo in a dark environment with little detail, then your file size can be as low as 2 megs.
That being said, Try to take a video and see what the bitrate comes out to,. should be as shown in my screenshot.
Camera won't boot anymore
After flashing your mod everything worked fine for me but after a few reboots my phone didn't boot anymore. I did a backup in TWRP an restored my phone. After restoring it everything worked fine except that my camera won't boot. So the normal camera app is closing quickly after I try to start it and in apps like Snapchat or Instagram is only a blackscreen. I don't want to reset my whole phone so if you could help me this would be amazing. L09C432B380 (Nougat).
Sorry for my rather bad English.

Im not sure why your phone would be working fine and then after a few restarts just stop working like that and then your camera not working after a full restore? All my files would have been overwritten. Very strange.
I did however send you a PM on the issue - see your inbox.

Same device, same firmware and no issues for me.
Solved the problem by rolling back to MM (B131) and updating to Nougat. I'll try your mod again and will see if it works now.

LineageOS is a long standing android custom rom, derrived from AOSP with contributions from the community. By default, no google apps or frameworks are built into the rom.
microG is an open source, lightweight replacement for the proprietary google apps and frameworks. Maybe most importantly, it includes UnifiedNlp which provides wifi and cellular based geolocation which are necessary for location services apps to function properly.
This rom includes:
- fdroid & fdroid priviledge extension
- microG and sig spoofing patches to support it
- magisk (optional, there are magisk and non-magisk versions available)
- lawnchair, a great AOSP launcher
Whats working:
- calling
- bluetooth
- camera
- audio
- cellular
- fingerprint
- full 1440 x 3200 resolution
- gps
- encryption
- gcam, stock cam
- other smart phone things
Whats not working:
- only the "default" camera sensor is function. Have yet to see anyone that has gotten the telephoto and macro(?) lens working in a custom rom
- relies on stock vendor partition, which is why flashing a specific version of OneUI is important
- fingerprint enrollment is touchy. If it fails, go back and try again. If it is stubborn, restart and try again.
https://github.com/SolidHal/lineageos-microg-samsung-s20#known-issues
Tested on SM-G981U1, should work on most snapdragon s20 devices (if not all). If you test this on another model and it works properly please post a comment if you have the time.
Install Instructions
Long instructions, including loading a customer recovery with keys for these images. Intended to help those newer to custom roms:
https://github.com/SolidHal/lineageos-microg-samsung-s20
Short instructions, for those that know what they are doing:
https://github.com/SolidHal/lineageos-microg-samsung-s20#rough-steps
Gcam:
GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.4.apk
gcam_7.3.018_urnyx05-v1.6-goofwear.xml
Telephoto and wide angle are swapped in the config and in the UI. Telephoto crashes the app, you will have to clear storage/cache to be able to use Gcam again.
I suggest disabling the telephoto lens. To do this go into
Gcam -> Settings -> Advanced -> Auxiliary Camera
and disable *Wide* not telephoto (remember, they lenses are swapped here)

Hi, thanks for your ROM! A few questions:
On which models of the S20 will this work?
Does 5G and VOLTE work?
Does encryption work?
Does 120Hz work?
Which camera apps work?
I haven't used MicroG before... Can the Google Play Store be installed on this ROM?
Thanks!

Sorry, I'll put the model in the main post when I'm back on my computer.
-I have only tested this on SM-G981U1 but it should work on any snapdragon s20/s20 5g
- I don't have any 5g towers nearby, will try to hunt some down this week and update.
- encryption is fully functional, this was one of the main reasons I forked the multidisabler
- This is forced 60hz, but at full 3200x1400. There is another lineage rom on here that forces 120hz but then the resolution has to be 2400 x 1080. According to samsung, the 60hz mode is better for battery life, so I went with that. May find a way to toggle on the fly in the future.
-I have only tested the stock lineage camera, can try to test specific ones if folks want.
- right now only builds with microg are available, which means stock gapps cannot be flashed. It is easy enough to build a rom without microg though, open "build_x1q.sh" and remove the following lines:
-e "CUSTOM_PACKAGES=GmsCore GsfProxy FakeStore FDroid FDroidPrivilegedExtension lawnchair" \
-e "SIGNATURE_SPOOFING=yes" \
If there is enough interest, I may post images without microg.
Thanks for your response. I'd love to see a 120Hz version and a regular Google Play Services version if you have time. I'm definitely interested in knowing if VOLTE works as audio quality on phone calls without it is pretty bad on T-Mobile in my area. 5G would also be nice as there is 5G in my area. Currently I'm running rooted stock but I'd prefer to run Lineage if encryption and VOLTE work and if I don't have compatibility issues due to MicroG.
Thanks!
@SolidHal Thanks, great to see this rom!
Can you add 120hz option and dc-dimming?
Dc-dimming function was already built for oneui 2.1 source: https://github.com/DevriesL/Z3Q_ImageBreaker
Impressive start, big thanks.
Miss tap to wake, besides that: everything seems fully functional.
Edit, Gcam also functinal, both cameras ok too
Would this work with the S20 FE?

Likely not, I believe the s20 FE is quite a bit different. I could be wrong though, I'm not that familiar with the fe.

Wide lens will work, just needs to be set correctly in Gcam. Telephoto lens won't work. I suspect this is due to Samsung's package restriction built into OneUI 2.1, which Lineage cannot communicate with to release the lock.
Much appreciation for reviving LineageOS on this device.

Interesting enough it seems that dc-dimming might increase the lifetime according to research of a German oled manufacturing company:

I'm happy to help you test this system
Hello,
I'm curious if there has been any further development towards 18.1? I've got an S20 plus 986U1 and I would like nothing better than to find a current version of non GAPPS lineage. I'm currently running bitsafe oneui 3.1. I've been trying to degoogle it but I don't have the skills. I can get Google deleted but can't seem to get microG working correctly. @Krog18 helped me out and got sig spoof working but I'm still not having much luck making everything happy.

Looking into this myself, I found this note from the author:
NOTICE: after spending much time on this device I will no longer be making progress.
imsservice (required for cellular) requires a bunch of proprietary samsung garbage that they build into the standard system framework.jar and telephony-common.jar

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Topaz, based on Android 13.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with beautiful wallpapers from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.
Our builds are based on the Code Linaro Organization Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
We kindly ask all of you that are in a position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

Ohhh finally!
Though considering I have Japan model, I guess I will lose the access to felica. But I can cope with that I guess. Thanks!
Are special functions like "zentouch" working on this rom?
unable to install this on my Zf9. Bootloader is unlocked. I can get into Fastbootd, but the device itself isnt recognized unless i update the drivers in device manager. I have to update it EVERY time the phone goes into fastbootd. Just backing out and back in again makes it unrecognizable by the PC.
Updating it allows "Fastboot devices" to see it. However typing Fastboot -w just gives me "Erase successful, but not automatically formatting. Cant determine partition type" and then also "FAILED (remote:Invalid partition)" for both userdata and cache. Flashing the recovery after this just gives me:
"Writing "recovery""
"FAILED (remote: no such file or directory)"
What the hell is going on? Tried on 2 different PCs and still the same.
A first right there! The first ever custom ROM running on the 8+ Gen 1!

Do you use a USB-C to USB-C cable? If yes, try USB-A to USB-C
Anyone tried this? Wondering if Google Wallet works as I had issues with root.
I have it installed, though the ROM seems to have difficulties connecting to Google services. At the moment, I still have no connection.
Really smooth, though! Loving how fluid it all is.
Has anyone tried using a Bluetooth LE Audio device with this ROM? I hear on Reddit that the Zenfone 9 does not support LC3 on its stock ROM, and that concerns me.
If that's the case, does Aptx Adaptive (not to be confused with Aptx or Aptx HD) work on this ROM?
https://www.reddit.com/r/zenfone/comments/10guooa
UPDATE: While I was not able to get the Setup to connect to Google services, I was able to connect to Google services after the fact and download apps. A minor inconvenience for me, but I think it's worth addressing for others.
First big thanks to @Androbots and the whole team
Tested it for a couple of days now, rom really has daily driver potential, when the devs keep working on it.
Pros:
- Super smooth
- feels pretty pixel like
- colors in camera look better (especially night mode feels better to me)
- Bluetooth works with all my devices
- no crashes or other big issues so far
Cons/issues:
- (most annoying) when selecting text, the copy, search,... Menu doesn't always (actually basically never) appear
- after being in landscape (game), after turning screen off/on touch controls seem to be in portrait (90 degree flipped)
- couldn't find double tab 2 wake (maybe I missed it?)
- runs into thermal throttling way earlier then stock, even with performance mode enabled
- sound is a bit worth, but that was to be expected
- no slow motion in camera, no idea about the other modi, I rarely use the cam

My pc nor laptop doesnt have any type C ports. Been using a usb A to C cable. I know it works because ADB finds my phone AND fastboot if i install the fastboot drivers.

UPDATE2: After having it installed for around five days, the active usage of the phone seems to have improved versus the stock OS (according to Accubattery): Screen on Rate is 9-10% per hour vs >10% per hour on stock. However, during sleep mode there seems to be something draining it; Screen off rate is 1-2% per hour. This is much higher than it is for stock, which is routinely at the 0.6-1% range.
While it may depend on what apps are installed, services active, etc., I'm comparing most of the same apps between stock and Topaz Alpha 1. Topaz, due to having to manually install everything, has fewer apps due to me just not having gotten around to getting them all yet.
1. Always show time and info seems not working
2. No tap2wake
3. Built-in Chrome browser crash (fix after update)
4. Cannot install 32-bit only APPs (I know but still have to use some)
5. Cannot remove Google account after login (shows not allowed by admin)
6. Built-in camera APP too minimal (I know there is no GCam for it yet, so I suggest switching to Asus stock camera APP)
7. The vibrations feel awful, it has a Linear Resonant Actuator, but now feels like a Rotating Mass.
8. Wrong device requirement when flashing (require taro)
9. Flashing fastboot option failed (can't switch to slot B, odm_b partition not exist, etc.)
10. Battery drained 1.3% per hour when screen off (I personally think this is much)
Are there any build instructions?

Thank you for the feedback. Coming to your issues:
- Haven't faced this one
- Intended AOSP behavior
- Yet to be implemented
- That's due to the differences between thermal implementations in stock vs. pa
- Speakers same as above ^
- GCam Go is supposed to be minimal, I'll pin the GCam I use in OP

I am still trying to figure out what's causing the idle drain. Better active drain should be expected since the kernel is free of thousands of lines/second worth of debug prints that were enabled for some reason on stock and is also mostly free of debug drivers that tend to regress both performance and battery life.
New update will be seeded once qpr2 (March Feature Drop) is merged into source.
I have a build ready with April patches and lots of updates! Anyone willing to test? I can DM them a build, although more than likely you will have to clean flash it. Thanks!

Cheers to all of the 'ElixirTeam' who made this ROM possible, Its Smooth, Stable and I really love the colorful UI , has no glitches of any kind as yet for the past 2 days that I am using it on my Pixel 3 as a daily driver.
I installed this ROM after using Evolution X 7.6.2 as my daily driver, battery life is far better than Evolution and i love the customizations. My light Pixel 3 feels as fresh as any other newer, heavier and beefy Pixel's.
I would like to mention, if it may be of help to anyone, i don't use any kind of messenger's like whatsapp, telegram, signal etc.. I use Google 'Messages' instead,
I was not able to register my number in the Enable chat features in the 'Messages'
settings. After googling around, found that the absence of 'Carrier Services' can be the culprit and it indeed was, after installing it from the Playstore, i was able to make the enable chat feature work.
I installed a modded Gcam apk and the camera also works great.
Coming from Evolution, only two things I miss in this ROM are the 'colored' app notification icons and mainly the pixel parts section in Evolution where there was a option to boost the 'Speaker' and 'Mic' Volume, which was really magical because it boosted the volume of the down speaker for notifications/alarm and the mic while voice communication without any distortion and there is no rooting involved to install any magisk module like viper to boost the volume, which i was never able to make it work anyways..
Pixel 3 has that notorious low 'notification' and 'alarm' volume issue, because it uses only the down speaker for those and that to at a really low volume which sadly was never resolved by Google.
Sincere request to the Elixir Team, if you can incorporate the colored icons in the ROM and volume boost option in Pixel Parts section or include the same in the Essence Section of this ROM in the near future updates, if not the colored icons feature atleast the volume boost option is a must and i am pretty sure, each and every person who installs this ROM will appreciate, which will be a real 'Elixir' for that frustrating 'low volume' issue of Pixel 3, I will never feel the need to install any other ROM ever again.
Please keep up the good work...thanks a ton.

I've been using it for a day now. The automatic color theming comes up with some interesting colors, but it somehow works. Transitions and graphics performance in general are very snappy. Hard to say what battery life is like after using for just one day, but it seems decent. The included music app is nice.
Things I found that don't work: Google Camera, Squeeze for Assistant, and WiFi calling.
I don't like that it replaced the existing recovery partition.
It's a very responsive and stable ROM.

wow! looks promising! pretty nice features and settings.
one very important question for me.
are the bluetooth hi-res audio capabilities supported on this rom? (aptx aptxHD, LDAC)
Excellent, was waiting for a XDA thread for this!
Which camera does it come with?
Which GCam is it compatible with?
Any GCam version + config recommendations?
Download link not working?

This turns out to be tricky, which is why I hope that someone with more time at hands can have a look and report back here.
From the LOS thread:
Camera Notes
ANX camera is not recomended and will most probably NOT work.
To get a fully working camera try one of the gcams here.
Do not forget to copy&load the associated xml file!
Official LOS uses oss camera service, so xml written for other custom roms might not work.
The gcams at the above link have modified xmls for LOS.

So far I have tried my previous favorite (NGCam v7.4.104-v2.0) that I have in use on ArrowOS 11 (last version with MIUI vendor), but it crashes as was to be expected due to the camera service as mentioned above.
I have also tried UltraCVM (v8.1 from the link above and v8.4.300.10u_ucvm from the GCam Hub) which worked with the provided config file, but unfortunately it does not seem to support a 3rd party gallery, I could not find out how to change camera lenses, and at one point while playing around with it, it just crashed.
So in the end I really would like to have a camera app that supports slow motion and time lapse video, 3rd party gallery, all the available lenses and runs stable.

This turns out to be tricky, which is why I hope that someone with more time at hands can have a look and report back here.
From the LOS thread:

Just read up on Aperture, and indeed makes sense and needs to be supported, but still, it does not have slow motion and time lapse video and I'm not sure about the use of lenses:
Support for auxiliary cameras (this has to be enabled outside of the Aperture app)

Not sure what that means and if this has been enabled for the two additional lenses that we have on the POCO X3 NFC. I guess this should be the selector that reads ".9 | .9 | 1" in the middle of the lower part of this screenshot:
But unfortunately this is not working as the lens selection (main, macro and wide angle) obviously isn't correctly configured (though there are no UI options for that):
The "1" seems to be the main lens, which is working.
The middle ".9" is not working at all (makes the picture freeze and something crashes, because also the UI keeps working, the camera picture does not recover), so this must be an invalid camera ID.
The left ".9" looks like main lens in black & white, so that's also an invalid camera ID because that lens is not supposed to be used on its own, but does its job in conjunction with the main camera for more depth (or something like that).
So the camera ID configuration needs to be corrected and the UI needs a proper camera labeling (so that you can see which of the three selectors is which lens).
There is also a picture of the settings menu, which looks differently from the one we have:
We don't have the photo stabilization and the the lower two video stabilization options.
Hello all. do we have any feedback from this rom if anyone is using it? I would like to test it probably next weekend so I would appreciate anyone that has some experience till now.

All good except the camera issue. Aperture is just not good enough, though of course it makes sense as it's OSS. Haven't found the time to play with various Gcam versions and have been testing crDroid in the meantime (though that one is not to stay as the next version will be rebased to LOS as well and requires a clean flash).
