We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Topaz, based on Android 13.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with beautiful wallpapers from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.
Our builds are based on the Code Linaro Organization Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
We kindly ask all of you that are in a position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

Ohhh finally!
Though considering I have Japan model, I guess I will lose the access to felica. But I can cope with that I guess. Thanks!
Are special functions like "zentouch" working on this rom?
unable to install this on my Zf9. Bootloader is unlocked. I can get into Fastbootd, but the device itself isnt recognized unless i update the drivers in device manager. I have to update it EVERY time the phone goes into fastbootd. Just backing out and back in again makes it unrecognizable by the PC.
Updating it allows "Fastboot devices" to see it. However typing Fastboot -w just gives me "Erase successful, but not automatically formatting. Cant determine partition type" and then also "FAILED (remote:Invalid partition)" for both userdata and cache. Flashing the recovery after this just gives me:
"Writing "recovery""
"FAILED (remote: no such file or directory)"
What the hell is going on? Tried on 2 different PCs and still the same.
A first right there! The first ever custom ROM running on the 8+ Gen 1!

Do you use a USB-C to USB-C cable? If yes, try USB-A to USB-C
Anyone tried this? Wondering if Google Wallet works as I had issues with root.
I have it installed, though the ROM seems to have difficulties connecting to Google services. At the moment, I still have no connection.
Really smooth, though! Loving how fluid it all is.
Has anyone tried using a Bluetooth LE Audio device with this ROM? I hear on Reddit that the Zenfone 9 does not support LC3 on its stock ROM, and that concerns me.
If that's the case, does Aptx Adaptive (not to be confused with Aptx or Aptx HD) work on this ROM?
https://www.reddit.com/r/zenfone/comments/10guooa
UPDATE: While I was not able to get the Setup to connect to Google services, I was able to connect to Google services after the fact and download apps. A minor inconvenience for me, but I think it's worth addressing for others.
First big thanks to @Androbots and the whole team
Tested it for a couple of days now, rom really has daily driver potential, when the devs keep working on it.
Pros:
- Super smooth
- feels pretty pixel like
- colors in camera look better (especially night mode feels better to me)
- Bluetooth works with all my devices
- no crashes or other big issues so far
Cons/issues:
- (most annoying) when selecting text, the copy, search,... Menu doesn't always (actually basically never) appear
- after being in landscape (game), after turning screen off/on touch controls seem to be in portrait (90 degree flipped)
- couldn't find double tab 2 wake (maybe I missed it?)
- runs into thermal throttling way earlier then stock, even with performance mode enabled
- sound is a bit worth, but that was to be expected
- no slow motion in camera, no idea about the other modi, I rarely use the cam

My pc nor laptop doesnt have any type C ports. Been using a usb A to C cable. I know it works because ADB finds my phone AND fastboot if i install the fastboot drivers.

UPDATE2: After having it installed for around five days, the active usage of the phone seems to have improved versus the stock OS (according to Accubattery): Screen on Rate is 9-10% per hour vs >10% per hour on stock. However, during sleep mode there seems to be something draining it; Screen off rate is 1-2% per hour. This is much higher than it is for stock, which is routinely at the 0.6-1% range.
While it may depend on what apps are installed, services active, etc., I'm comparing most of the same apps between stock and Topaz Alpha 1. Topaz, due to having to manually install everything, has fewer apps due to me just not having gotten around to getting them all yet.
1. Always show time and info seems not working
2. No tap2wake
3. Built-in Chrome browser crash (fix after update)
4. Cannot install 32-bit only APPs (I know but still have to use some)
5. Cannot remove Google account after login (shows not allowed by admin)
6. Built-in camera APP too minimal (I know there is no GCam for it yet, so I suggest switching to Asus stock camera APP)
7. The vibrations feel awful, it has a Linear Resonant Actuator, but now feels like a Rotating Mass.
8. Wrong device requirement when flashing (require taro)
9. Flashing fastboot option failed (can't switch to slot B, odm_b partition not exist, etc.)
10. Battery drained 1.3% per hour when screen off (I personally think this is much)
Are there any build instructions?

Thank you for the feedback. Coming to your issues:
- Haven't faced this one
- Intended AOSP behavior
- Yet to be implemented
- That's due to the differences between thermal implementations in stock vs. pa
- Speakers same as above ^
- GCam Go is supposed to be minimal, I'll pin the GCam I use in OP

I am still trying to figure out what's causing the idle drain. Better active drain should be expected since the kernel is free of thousands of lines/second worth of debug prints that were enabled for some reason on stock and is also mostly free of debug drivers that tend to regress both performance and battery life.
New update will be seeded once qpr2 (March Feature Drop) is merged into source.
I have a build ready with April patches and lots of updates! Anyone willing to test? I can DM them a build, although more than likely you will have to clean flash it. Thanks!

Despite its bugs, RR is smooth very smooth ?
Thanks kmx for this Rom this is a very good work ?
Why? Why for a310f and not for a510f??? Are these a lot different? They have the same cpu i think.. then why 510f no?
Inviato dal mio SM-A510F utilizzando Tapatalk
When for A510F? The hardware is no that different, just that A310F is Exynos 7578 quad core and A510F with same CPU but octa core, 0.1 GHz higher and different SOC - Exynos 7580. A lot of users, including myself, are waiting for a custom non-TouchWiz ROM for our A510F devices.

I know that a lot of users are asking for the A5. But there is two problems :
- A5 don't have a stable device and vendor tree + kernel (i mean a AOSP/LineageOS kernel)
- I don't have device, and it's too hard for me to develop for a device that i don't have (because i make a lot of builds)
That being said, a new build will be release in few minutes with following bugs fixed :
- No more freezes
- No more wakelock issue
- Screenshot are now working
- Shutdown, reboot, etc... are now properly working
good to know as A3 6 is not died thanks you for your hard work
Well! This ROM is just amazing! Thank you!
I am suffering from apparently random system freezes, though. The only thing that works for a full reboot to occur after a freeze is to force reset, precisely five times, seems to be the sweet spot. Until number 5, the system freezes before boot completed.
Edit: "5" isn't an exhaustive description, sometimes six, sometimes only twice. But always more than once.
Good job man! I'll keep an eye on it!
I hope there will be a good stable version soon .
Beautiful OS, really, but I've had to uninstall this build unfortunately, frequent random freezing and continual failed reboots. Some settings, in particular, backup and reset, are reset from their previous state after a successful boot.
When a new app is opened for the first time the system freezes instantly and takes several forced reboots to restart again. The longest time I managed to go without a complete freeze was probably about 30-45 minutes.
The audio output from the stock Music app also still has problems, just the same as the a3xeltexx-LOS-7.1.2 test builds, no audio track will play in its entirety and is cut short before skipping to another track from the same folder, not in any particular order, shuffle isn't checked.
Mobile Hotspot, USB tethering and Bluetooth tethering don't work yet either. Bluetooth doesn't switch on at all.
I only have one device that I need to be running and no PC at the moment so I can't really test it for any length of time but it is definitely my favourite OS, absolutely great. Thanks for all the hard work! It seems Lineage is just plagued with these same issues on our awkward Samsung devices.
Watching closely... Cheers, KMXSLR!
Hi everyone,
today i'm going to vacation, i'll not be present for two coming weeks.
But, i'll have internet, so i'll continue making some edits in code, some commits on my GitHub.
Also, i have a VPS, if it works, i'll maybe post builds.
Yesterday, i didn't uploaded anything, just know that battery draining due to GPSD is now fixed, but battery is not very good anyway. I'll try to fix freeze for next build!
The Google Drive folder was re-worked, you can find a folder to build RR with a manifest.xml if you want to build and try to fix bugs.
If you want to follow future edits on RR, you can follow my GitHub repositories to know :

Best regards, and keep in mind that A3 is not dead :good:
Build 3 is out !
Thanks to @EmpireIsHere for building it (while i'm in vacation)
Check the first post to download it and for changelog
Bye :good:
Edit: build 4 out too !
Hope this and lineage os gets to be stable one day
Works great, thanks for the rebuild, EmpireIsHere!
First small bug that wasn't present before: The previous build allowed me to use Substratum to theme the system and apps, this build hangs on Substratum's "Installing Overlay" screen every time, for every theme. Has something changed with the theme compiler here? No overlays can be installed. Small potatoes really but it would be nice to enable full theming again, I don't think it's anything to do with the device on my end.
Cheers again, fantastic ROM. ???
Edit: I've Just read the A5 RR thread and it seems there are theming problems there with the latest build, too. I assume they're connected. I do know that the theming engine worked flawlessly in the previous A310f build here, between freezes and reboots, of course.
My stock Music issues that were present in v1/2 seem to now be resolved in v3 and v4. Audio works great, Viper installed, no audio rerouting issues during calls, as are present in the current L-OS for A310f. No shutdowns, freezes and the battery isn't actually too bad either, although, I could always be doing with more power, regardless of which ROM I'm using, couldn't we all?
I can live without theming, Bluetooth and GPS(GPS works quite well alone but seems to show me way outside in the back garden. When high accuracy and/or scanning is enabled it's very precise, whereas recent past Lineage ROMs seen me about 1/4 mile away. I rarely use any location services so it won't be left enabled anyways), and the kids will just have to use their own damn data plans while tethering is out of order! ?
Loving this OS, thanks to KMXSLR, Aapav01, Alexax66 and to Empire for the new builds. You rock! So long, for now TW!

I agree with you! That ROM is fast and beautiful.
Yes! Rom feels very stable now. No boot/reboot issues. No random reboots or freezes.
Deep sleep works, GPS could get a fixed location, offline/online charging seem to work fine as well.
No problems with MTP or ADB or casting. Still trying out everything.
Great work!

Great work Andrey. The best ROM on the PIE!
Great ROM. The only thing missing is choosing a dark theme as in omni. Here is a great block of extended settings. It is worse in omni.
Thanks for support @andr68rus , good rom.

It does have Live display, and it has Kcal built into the system which is really nice. Its not exactly the same as what you are talking about but nonetheless pretty good. But It doesn't have options to set the display to Dynamic, Photography, Cinema etc. But those settings are just saved profiles. and you can pretty much achieve the same lighting and colour with Kcal.

Thank you for the detailed answer. You again saved me from wasting time and hassle.
And no, Color Profile is not just saved profiles and one cannot achieve color correction only with Kcal. While Kcal does provide color calibration, it is quite limited unless paired with Display Profile. Put simply, without a Color Profile option, the display sits somewhere near the Adobe RGB color spectrum, just like Samsung phones before they introduced Screen Mode (primary colors looked neon due to it.) Making changes via Kcal does not help much when whole spectrum is off to begin with.

Yes, I am fully aware of what ICC profiles are. I was attempting to keep the answer stupid simple. Most people would have no idea.
I used to work at ICG with Don Hutcheson before he retired. He is one of the main contributing pioneers in digital colour correction http://www.hutchcolor.com/Don.html ICG invented the original commercial grade CCD drum scanner., today's mass production heidelberg commercial grade scanners use ICG patents. I am not claiming to have anywhere near his understanding or maybe yours. but I certainly paid attention.
Understand the wide color gamut mode
Edit : If you saved a preferred setting with Kcal, it would still be a profile.
No its not nearly as good as what comes with Lineage or Samsung and its parameter settings are good enough for real color profiling Nonetheless, its still saved colour, shades and lighting , what name would you give a saved setting?

I tried to use roms that do not have Color Profile options but just could not handle the skewed color. I thought it was a curse to be color sensitive and blamed my photography background. Hell, most people prefer adobeRGB screen on SRGB content thinking it is so vivid and nice. Look at how people setup TVs - cranked up saturation, contrast and even sharpness. An eyesore but to my amusement, people like it that way.
I find it interesting that you with such a background are okay with this issue. And I admire you for that. I wish I could handle incorrect colors. Funny thing is, I have no taste when it comes to food and audio. I guess all my sensitivity went toward color rendition.
Regarding the question, I do not know. Maybe Color Parameters?
EDIT: fixed grammar.

Parameters, that is the word, I stand corrected. Have you tried Lineage 16? it's fantastic, it still has bugs but less than any other Le Pro 3 , Pie Rom. You will like Omni, but at the moment it has alot of issues. I am going to stick with Lineage 16 for now until these other Rom's mature.
I am just a wanna be photographer. Music, is my biggest hobby, and I was just out of college when I was lucky enough to find work with ICG and travel the world. First as a salesperson, later a support tech and finally management. I am sure that you know alot more about colour profiling than I do. Thanks.

Yes, I have been on Lineage 16 about a week. It works great and luckly, I do not have issues for my use beside it asking for SIM card setup upon boot up. I also found it to offer great battery life which is crucial for me.
However, though it works great, I prefer roms with more features so I wanted to try this rom but its lack of Color Profile is a deal breaker.
After using at least 4 months Validius, now I have switched to this rom. My first Android 9 on my LX720! I'm very pleased how lean, fast and feature-rich the rom is, and I have no issues till now excepting of this one:
Cyrillic SMS are sent again as empty spaces. This is presumably a unicode-issue of Lineage for this mobile (cyrillic is only one case of unicode...), noticed by me at first with Android 8. I thought that it will be solved once and for all in Android Pie, and I hope it further. Nevertheless, I will use now NitrogenOS as daily driver, I like it!
The first post says that if your phone is decrypted, format. Does that mean a full format including internal storage or just wiping data?
For those who has problem with SIM:
/system/framework/qti-telephony-common.jar - remove this and reboot.
This is temp solution to use AOSP telephony.
Great Job!!!
I've few question before install this rom
1) Is the Play Store certified?
2) Is NFC working?
3) Is the wifi display working?
4) SOT?
For those who have problems with device certification
There are many ways to bypass certification
1.How to bypass the certification of the device after first run
Reboot into Recovery
Open a terminal
Enter:
adb root
Then:
adb shell 'sqlite3/data/data / com.google.android.gsf/databases / gservices.db'
Select * from "main" where "name" = " android_id";"
Then sign up - https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/
Reboot!
2. Need Ruth.
Navigate to the "market" folder under /data/data / com.android.vending / shared_prefs.
Locate the finsky file.xml. Open the text editor, find the key "device-google-certified" and change false to true, but before saving, stop the play store
Overload the phone.
If this line is not present - it needs to be added.
3. 1. Open build.prop to / vendor
2. Looking for the line "ro.vendor.build.fingerprint", and copy the value
3. Open build.prop in /system, and insert the value in "ro.build.fingerprint"
4. Restart the device, and clean the data "play store", " Google play services"
5. Rejoice certification
4.Manual" certification " of the device
!!! If you are at the initial setup stage, you need to complete it. If you are prevented from notifying about the need for certification - disable them !!!
Download and install this .apk file: https://mega.nz/#!e1EC2CyT!71oJAaqbDokkz378NtpMygWiCLN7Xpdciupset-i-y8

MoKee Open Source is the biggest non-profit Android Open Source development team in China, with members from all parts of the world. We follow the latest development from Google closely and improve various parts of Android according to the user habits. Being a non-profit organisation, we utilise our spare time and own funds to keep this passion alive. Therefore, the costs for the forum and servers are solely beared by us. In order to provide a good user experience, we only included a few preinstalls in the ROM. Along with the advertisements in the forum; we hardly get enough to pay for the bandwidth. The point is, those are our only source of income, however many developers choose to exclude them when releasing unofficial builds. Unlike CyanogenMod, we did not accept monetary help at the early stages, as in China, most people do not understand the meaning of “making a donation”. They would think of it as buying a service, which is conflicting with our objectives. Anyways, we still made it until today, and even started to provide third party developers a chance to utilise our OTA system. All of these are the fruit of our hard work and passion. We are proud of the happy users, and we are also proud of the support given to MoKee Open Source. Most importantly, we are proud of the improvements we have achieved all these while, and the advancements never stop.

New ROM! Shall give it a try and report back! Thanks for your hard work
alright! another one!
Used Mokee on Mi A1. It was pretty good. Almost identical to LOS
Nice compilation ! I really like the way the notch handling is done. Still way to go to test it further but the early feel is awesome.
Does it have pie gesture control like in resurrection remix or msm-extended?

Nope ! It just has the basic AOSP Swipe up on Home button gesture.
@ronks888 Just flashed the ROM. In love with it :highfive: Thank you for building. I guess this is going to be my daily driver for a while. Please continue to provide updates and also wish it becomes official soon.
P.S. Jio network doesn't have APN on the first boot and had to add manually (just letting it know here in case someone is flashing)
Thanks for Sharing

Hi, can you please let me know a few of things since you are already on this ROM.
1. SeLinux policy (Permissive or Enforcing).
2. Battery life.
3. Navbar vibration intensity (whether too high like LOS).
4. Status bar notification compatibility (whether dot or i on gets out of the notch line).
5. Any random reboots (mostly when device is in idle).
6. Any performance issue such as occasional lag or freeze (mainly when performing heavy task or gaming).
7. Auto brightness (whether stable or fluctuates too much).
8. Whether ctsPtofile gets passed on Magisk or need additional magisk module for that.
9. Last but not the least, how is the touch response (I'm sure you know what I am talking about).
Thank you for taking your time to read and answer.

1. Actually I can't find SELinux policy (yeah it's very strange for me)
2. Battery life is very good. Probably due to the Mokee kernel
3. Vibration is perfect. I'd say medium intense comparing to those high intensity and low intensity in other ROMs
4. Notifications get a dot on both the sides
(However there still needs to be customisation of battery style and usage of 4G instead of LTE - @ronks888)
5. No random freezes or reboots at all. (I know how it is because I had been testing ROMs and I had random reboot in AOSiP and random freezes in test build of official Citrus CAF)
6. No performance issue at all. I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on the gaming performance at all. But all apps load quick and fast and switching b/w recents was smooth
7. Auto brightness is very stable
8. CtsProfile will never get passed on Magisk V18 . Check the below tweet quote
https://twitter.com/topjohnwu/status/1072812881232715776?s=19
9. I am on the latest vendor 8.12.10 and it's all fine for me. (8.12.7 was buggy and I literally went back to 8.11.15 )
Overall , there's couple of UI only work that needs to be done like battery style and 4G icon. It's all those status bar options.
Rest everything is very nice. I'm finally sticking to this ROM for quite sometime
@ronks888 The status bar icons (battery, wifi etc) on the lockscreen need to aligned like the Home screen status bar icons. The lockscreen status bar icons appear to be pushed too much towards the edge. Rest so far so good. The rom is serving me excellent battery life with no UI lags and is very lightweight and brisk to use.

Strange! I'm on NOS (it's still in BETA) with Magisk 18.0 and ctsProfile passes without needing to flash any magisk module.
Anyway, I will try Mokee tomorrow along with miui stable pie (stock & EU) and let see which one suits my taste.
This rom has framework boost implemented?

@ronks888 Thank you for the update. The new build is now aesthetically very nice with the new DPI values. Especially notch.. My only request is to add battery styles. Otherwise I'm satisfied and using it now . More snappier now.

The way i do it is to port out the maximum of the Pixel 4 XL Firmwares actually. That could give us the Option to use the native Pixel 4 XL App from the Play Store if all goes right. So no need for a GCam Mod.
But for now should any GCAM Version work (worse or better) if there is any. I wasn't able to get any 6.X or 7.X Cam to work no matter what i did. But well, i never did a GCAM Mod by myself so dunno how hard that would be...

Actually i had hard Times caused by a lack of a Windows PC, but i just hacked My Chromebook and installed Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on it. It's all a bit different but it will do the Job now...
Think i will release a first stable Version of My Work next week... Will use the Weekend for Testing and fixing everything
BETA1 uploading... Reduced to the minimum of my content to solve all bugs. Audio and Performance is improved besides many other optimizations and additions. More to come... Enjoy the Audio Quality <3
Thanks for this!! Is the audio and performance comparable to the stock software or is there still room for improvement? ?? Can we install gcam now??
Please, describes the audio enhancements.

It is what i always did. Adding and optimizing Configuration Entries from all possible android Devices step by step. I'm on around 400 from 1200 Lines currently. I enabled a lot of stuff already but a lot of System Content that is related to some entries is missing actually due to Bugs. I'm taking focus on PHHs AOSP GSI with GApps right now which gives the best Results for Me with the actual SOM Tests of BETA2. The Sound is crazy loud and strong. YouTube plays 4K HDR 60FPS Videos just fine with original YouTube app and the Audio Input and Call Quality should also be better for everyone. There are also Hardware related optimizations and enhancements for the Display, Camera and other Sensors...
You can see all changes on GitHub combined with Googling all the stuff to find out what it does and is for (Mostly). I'm by the way the only Person around the World who has found, combined, documented and tested that many Configs for Android. A lot of little common Tweaks in the last Years are coming from My sharings.
BR
Edit: The Audio Output Quality isn't fully improved yet but i would say it's beyond Stock in terms of quality (even without Dolby). It's with Xperia OS just to generic from SONY without any Love in the Details. Stock was fine compared to a Stock iPhone but there is a lot more possible...
Looks like i've optimized and improved the Cameras a lot. I have just enabled some CameraAPI2 Functions that are non available on Stock. 4K 60FPS Videos are also no Problem anymore using Open Camera from the best Camera Devolper so far (Open Camera can do anything that Android is able to). Only side effect is actuall that the Devices are getting really hot while playing Media. But think that will be fixed in the Final BETA2...
Edit: Display Color Calibration is also optimized and working on GSIs now including HDR functionality...

Bit quiet ?
Will be keen to see this progress for the Xperia 1 ii
BETA2 coming. Fixed all Bugs on Stock. Optimized a lot under the hood. Added Audio functions such as Monitor Rotation (Channels change on base of the actual rotation state), Google Pixel UI with Black Dark Mode, Audio Recorder, Pixel Launcher, Theme Manager and so on. Hope You will enjoy it! A Video Preview is also incoming!
(PS: Please avoid using the Gesture Navigation since it's broken with the Pixel Launcher. QuickSwitch for Magisk may fix that, or you can try to install a third Launcher from the Play Store. Sorry for that!)
@cd993 Thread Comes today. Just need Testers

It's what i started on the Nexus 6 and what others started also doing. ROMs without including basic Firmware Parts that are needed to run the System. Or how i call them since i started with the actual Project. SOM (Systemless on Memory). Since all changes can be reverted with the flashing of the same Zip which was used to install it, thanks to the Magisk Module Logic. Reboot and You are on Stock again. Same for Updates. Just go into Magisk, select the new Module and the rest is Magic... Haven't seen such an advanced Zip on the Web anywhere else so i think it's great to be an Xperia User actually

That's so cool to hear! I currently have a Oneplus 7 Pro, though for many reasons the Xperia 1 ii has enticed me to my first ever Sony device.... and I can't wait. It looks a solid piece of hardware (screen, front speakers, notification light, slim design, cameras, wireless charging etc) and so I am super excited to load a custom rom on it.
So if my understanding is correct, is MARS_SOM essentially a magisk module that is loaded and to revert back to stock, simply disabled?
I love the sound of this, as it keeps all stock features/stability yet adds so much enhancement and tweaks to it!

Cheers to all of the 'ElixirTeam' who made this ROM possible, Its Smooth, Stable and I really love the colorful UI , has no glitches of any kind as yet for the past 2 days that I am using it on my Pixel 3 as a daily driver.
I installed this ROM after using Evolution X 7.6.2 as my daily driver, battery life is far better than Evolution and i love the customizations. My light Pixel 3 feels as fresh as any other newer, heavier and beefy Pixel's.
I would like to mention, if it may be of help to anyone, i don't use any kind of messenger's like whatsapp, telegram, signal etc.. I use Google 'Messages' instead,
I was not able to register my number in the Enable chat features in the 'Messages'
settings. After googling around, found that the absence of 'Carrier Services' can be the culprit and it indeed was, after installing it from the Playstore, i was able to make the enable chat feature work.
I installed a modded Gcam apk and the camera also works great.
Coming from Evolution, only two things I miss in this ROM are the 'colored' app notification icons and mainly the pixel parts section in Evolution where there was a option to boost the 'Speaker' and 'Mic' Volume, which was really magical because it boosted the volume of the down speaker for notifications/alarm and the mic while voice communication without any distortion and there is no rooting involved to install any magisk module like viper to boost the volume, which i was never able to make it work anyways..
Pixel 3 has that notorious low 'notification' and 'alarm' volume issue, because it uses only the down speaker for those and that to at a really low volume which sadly was never resolved by Google.
Sincere request to the Elixir Team, if you can incorporate the colored icons in the ROM and volume boost option in Pixel Parts section or include the same in the Essence Section of this ROM in the near future updates, if not the colored icons feature atleast the volume boost option is a must and i am pretty sure, each and every person who installs this ROM will appreciate, which will be a real 'Elixir' for that frustrating 'low volume' issue of Pixel 3, I will never feel the need to install any other ROM ever again.
Please keep up the good work...thanks a ton.

I've been using it for a day now. The automatic color theming comes up with some interesting colors, but it somehow works. Transitions and graphics performance in general are very snappy. Hard to say what battery life is like after using for just one day, but it seems decent. The included music app is nice.
Things I found that don't work: Google Camera, Squeeze for Assistant, and WiFi calling.
I don't like that it replaced the existing recovery partition.
It's a very responsive and stable ROM.
