Hi everyone!
I'm just ready to buy a Xiaomi Router (Mi Router PRO R3P) but I need to check the DDNS services that it offers so
Could anyone who have any xiaomi router enter in the web interfaze (192.168.31.1) / Advanced Settings / DDNS and tell me which services are available?
Thank you so much
I'm looking for it in all reviews but it doesn't appears anywhere
don’t know if you still need the information 2 years later - here is what shows up for a different model:
1. Peanut shell (oray.com)
2. Gongyun (3322.org)
3. Dyndns.com
4. No-ip.com

Greetings to you all !
Recently i bought an Acer Iconia A1-810 (wich i rooted second two) and a Android Mini-PC QuadCore S400 (Cozyswan). The reason i bought the MiniPC is that i need some small computer as a web-server in my car to provide me two things:
- offline large and detailed maps (very usefull when offroading)
- media server when camping
Now...the MINI-PC must be a server, with an fixed IP address (192.168.1.200 let's say). It also must be some kind of on wi-fi hotspot, for the multimedia server purpose, but has to keep same fixed IP (as gateway) - but i cannot manage to configure it. Also, cannot find an web-server that has "auto-start" feature.
Please note that when offroad, i dont have any kind of internet connection.
So....how can i make that MiniPC to serve those purposes:
a. file server, wich must have "auto-start" feature with a static IP address ?
b. to behave like an wi-fi router
c. if it is possible to manually assign an IP address to the MiniPC, is there any software that can provide me some sort of "remote desktop connection" to the MiniPC ??
Sorry for my poor English and thank you for your input
Chris.
Hello folks,
I have a Redmi Note 3 (unrooted) phone running MIUI Global 10.2 [Android version 6.0.1 MMB29M]
I have installed AdGuard to monitor the traffic that my phone sends/receives. While checking the 'Filtering Log', I see few connections that the app "Android OS" makes to the remote address "118.189.138.5:123" (see screenshot). As you can see from the screenshot, the requested URL is having a "UDP" connection protocol.
Now, when I do a search for this IP address, I see that it belongs to "M1 Connect Pte Ltd" in Singapore.
https://www.speedguide.net/ip/118.189.138.5
I also noticed similar UDP connections to these IP addresses:
95.216.192.15 belongs to "D2 Internet Investment Ukraine ETTH broadband" in Ukraine
133.243.238.163 belongs to "National Institute of Information and Communicatio" in Japan
and the strangest of all
202.12.97.45 belonging to "Ministry of University Affairs" in Thailand
So my question is why would Android OS make connection to this IP addresses. What are these connections for? Am I missing something here or are these some legit connections used for some 'good' work? Is my phone connecting and leaking some information?
Hoping that some expert on networking will answer this.
Thanks
Hi there,
i would like to use Android Auto Wireless which is slowely rolled out at the moment.
First only Google Pixel phones could do it, now Samsung phones are certified too.
In theory it could work with every Pie (Android 9) device.
I bought a new Kenwood Headunit for my car and it works after enabling it in the developer options - BUT - without internet connection.
The phone automatically connects to the headunit's wifi and that's it. No internet available. Of course the headunit doesn't provide internet and wifi is just used for the connection.
My phone is a Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with MIUI11 (ROOTED) and Android 9.
Google Play Services: current beta (19.4.20)
Headunit Kenwood DMX8019DAB
How can i force the phone to use mobile data when connected to the headunits wifi?
Thanks

I have the same issue with my oneplus 6t when connected wirelessly to my Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX. My mobile data/LTE disconnects and wireless android auto becomes unusable. Needs help here.
I use a OP7TPro now and maybe this helps because I needed to change this setting to make it work:
Settings - WiFi - wifi settings - automatically swap to mobile data (or something like that, it's german on my phone)
I have the Android 10. Yup basically that it the solution. Go to wifi preferences and enable "auto switch to mobile data". Thanks.
Unfortunately this doesn't work on Xiaomi phones. One of the reasons I switched.
I am running Android 10 on GP 3aXL. I have two Devices A (GP 3aXL) and B (S5) connected via Wi-Fi direct. On device A, i have a proxy server (Every Proxy) running. I want to share my internet connection with device B. When i scan wifi on device B, I see SSID with the name of the remembered group on device A. I try to connect and it is asking me for the password. Where is this password info located? I have searched many threads here on XDA and other places, but unable to get this info. Please help. Thanks.
Dear community,
please assist on how to enable the WIFI tethering option in the HOTSPOT section of my redmi NOTE9PRO.
it seems, that the wifi tethering option is not available.
I want to amplify/extent the wifi signal I am getting from my router via my phone throughout my house. I could get a wifi repeater for 20dollars but I am sure I can do this with this device already without any 3 part apps like Sharenet ( which caps your data transmission without paying for it).
In some videos I find the wifi tethering option available in the note 8 for example.
I have the MIUI version 11.0.1. and the android patch version from 2020-4-1 and I have the developer mode enabled.
Thank you very much for the help!
regards,
Genco.

Hi,
I use my Redmi Note 9s(global)/9 Pro(India), code name curtana, with an older Huawei router HG556a running openWRT. I use the hotspot to connect the devices at the LAN ports (PC & Linux box for the TV) to the internet.
1. Go to Settings/Portable hotspot turn on the hotspot and 'click' on "Set up portable hotspot".
2. In that window at the top the SSID is listed and just below the password, which you need for the setup at your router.
3. For a openWRT router: open in a browser the router page, log in, click on Network/WiFi and click on scan.
4. A new page will open listing all available WiFi networks, go to the one with the name of the SSID of step 2. and click on the button "Join Network".
5. In the next screen you have to enter the password from above, name the interface and finish that setup page.
6. In the next page you have to choose in "Interface Configuration/General Setup" the network and check in addition to the wireless interface the LAN.
Then you have the internet in your LAN ?
I don't know how to do it with the stock routerFW. Further I don't know if the Redmi Note 9 Pro (global) [joyeuse] has the same menus as the [curtana].
