Possible to root a LG Escape Plus - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Now I currently don't have a pc I only have a chromebook and I will be able to get on a pc when the library opens back up.
But it seems that this device the LG Escape Plus on android 9, with a snapdragon 425 is not rootable, or atleast I can't root it with kingroot and other apps.
I want to install custom gaming roms so my games can run better and longer without over heating.
Any help on this is nice.

@UnKindedKtime
AFAIK it depends on its firmware version.

don't search i'm tired from searching & trying with my bootloopning f600l
i learned 2 things 1 never buy lg phone without 1 million people confirm it will not bootloop
2 never update to latest android os if you don't guarantee root access
No unlock bootloader, no root since MM. It's not the end of the world but life could be better with it, say enable AptX on this phone. If something you'd like to achieve feel free to share, in case there is a rootless workaround that comes close.

so as i see here .;there is no root for this phone now or any soon future
Nope, don't feel too bad, there's nothing much you can do these days with root unless custom ROM is your thing or you're on stock ROM closed to AOSP , which not including LG UX. Trust me, I have rooted device which is Asus Zenfone 3. My banking app won't open due to security risk of being rooted. You can try virtual xposed with at least few usable mods, but LG V10 getting warm due to Virtual Xposed running in the background, so I gave it up.

HDX gpu drivers and android 6 ROMs

Hello,
I'm new here and I'd like to clarify one thing. I'd love to ditch the official os. The thing is, I've read somewhere that android 7 doesn't support andreno 330 due to lack of hardware support for openGL es 3.1. So I'd like to know if it's the same for Android 6? Will my gpu function properly? I just want to turn my hdx 7 into android tablet. I don't mind some minor glitches with bluetooth, etc, but I need to be able to install gp store and have the gpu work properly.

Don't know what you read but it doesn't apply to this device as Android 7.1 is the primary custom ROM (4 variants). There is some prep involved before you can go that route including unlocking the bootloader. Got access to a Linux or OS X (Mac) environment? You can also unlock with a Windows host but the ride is none too fun.

I've jus rooted my Thor 4.5.5.3. Yes, I have access to Mac running high sierra. I want to use this ROM, as it says the gpu's working:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ki...ment/rom-cm-13-kindle-hdx-2015-11-29-t3259732
I was reading this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/kindle-fire-hdx/general/thor-4-5-5-2-easy-to-root-unlock-t3571240
So that one click unlock bootloader is the best way? Once I get it unlocked, can I flash a new ROM with twrp? I'm trying to find appropriate guide.

As previously stated integrated GPU works fine with all contemporary Android 7.1 based ROMs for this device. This can be observed with varying loads via any well regarded kernel manager. In my experience the default msm_adrino_tz governor works best. Not that it matters much. 330 is ridiculously weak. Don't be that outlier that tilts to some obscure writing ("read somewhere") that has no basis in reality. Android 7.1 could care less about the underlying hardware as kernel handles the interfaces.
See this thread for info on unlocking the bootloader. You will need to PM the author for a copy of the appropriate scripts. There is a manual method (what I always use) but 1-click makes the process much easier...especially for those unfamiliar with this device which ain't your typical Android gizmo. Good luck.

LG Stylus 2 (K520) How to root?

Hi,
i bought a LG Stylus 2 K520 because of the DAB+ chip inside. I want to use it with android auto. There are no apps at the moment that are supported with DAB+ inside android auto.
Because of this i need AAMirror. In order to use AAMirror i need a rooted phone.
As i checked the ability for this phone to get rooted i was a little bit disappointed.
At the moment i tried all one click rooting programs (Kingoroot, Puuh etc.). I also tried the apps for windows IRoot, LG One Click Root e.g.. I also flashed the oldest firmware that was available.
I read all posts regarding the K520. But at the end nobody got it work.
So far i don't know if there is an option to get the phone rooted ? Please help me.
Best Regards

I love the tablet, bought two of the 4GB/64GB for $149 each directly from Samsung site.
Well worth the money, I got them for gaming and watching videos, web surfing, really great tablets.

Impreza thank you for making me rest.....I've been surfing online finding answers if that tablet can be rooted...please let me know if you guys found more info..thank you
Bought this thinking it was an upgrade from my Galaxy tab a 8.0 but since it's one ui core it's missing many features. Trying to trade it in now but it's past the 15 days. There's no smart view to mirror to any tv easily, theres no network file manager in my files (can't access G drive or any others).
Just make sure you know what you're buying. It's not lite because of being smaller than A7, it's a stripped down OS and the features can't be installed afterwards (have tried many apks). I didn't want a big tablet, wanted a mid size tablet with upgraded CPU.

I agree with that. If you are sure you know what you're buying, the experience of the A7 Lite isn't bad. One UI Core is the same stripped down OS in the regular A7 (Snapdragon 662) and in the A7 Lite. CPU works very fluid if you tweak some settings (default One UI animations are awfully slow). Battery lasts A LOT (8,5-9 hours SOT). Smart View was removed and changed in all One UI devices with the upgrade to Android 11/One UI 3.0 (regular and Core), and it was replaced with Google Cast native screen mirroring (ergo Chromecast).
Use Solid Explorer or Amaze if you want to access network file places. It works well on my side.
Despite being a Mediatek tablet, you wont't find anything MTK-related in the tablet. Samsung has its software very well masked. And I think that, in Helio P22T, Mediatek vulnerabilities have been fixed with security monthly patches.

I guess that MTK-su has been fixed on Android 11... But I think that I could boot something with DSU Loader, which is available...

Just wanted to chime in here and say that I successfully rooted the tablet using the same method for the Lite as the regular A7 using THIS GUIDE. Obviously it tripped Knox but I needed it rooted for my use case. One note is that when you download the stock firmware with an application like Samsung Firmware Downloader, make sure you choose the correct Model and Region. These can be found in the settings on the tablet.
Is it possible to enable Google Discover for default launcher?
I bought Galaxy Tab A7 Lite LTE SM-T225 3/32GB and it works quite nice. Small and good device. Would be cool to see on it clean Android or LineageOS (fingers crossed). There is not too many ~8 inch tablets today with the latest Android version.

I've been working on porting TWRP for AOSP Android 11 to this device but have run into some roadblocks.
I currently have TWRP running but touch is not working and I can't seem to get Data R/W with the current tools available. It's possible it's an error in my build or maybe a workflow problem.
If anyone out there with more experience is doing the same or wants to help me sort some things out, please let me know.
I purchased the SM-T225 LTE 4/64GB model, a good device, but there was a problem on the latest T225XXU1AUH5 & UI3 firmware, specifically with a modem... after the end of the call, the mobile network disappears, and after rebooting Baseband Unknown Flashing does not help, only resetting the data helps, but before the next call... The device had Root rights, but is now installed stock firmware and blocked the bootloader, but the problem remains... At the same time, if you install the old modem UDA,UE3,UF2 , it works without problems... Has anyone encountered anything like this?
My only disappointment is that knox is included. I came from tab A 8.0 2019 which has no knox

Can you root Huawei Devices?

I seen that rooting gives you more acces to your phone and a lot of things, my device is a P30 Lite MAR-LX1A and as I saw you need to unlock the bootloader to root it. My device is working perfectly fine but I have some small isues about it, so shortly, I'm asking for help if anyone knows about it, if I can root it I just want a short tutorial on how to do it and the correct links I have to get because there are a lot of indians on youtube there and I don't trust them.

Follow this DC-Unlocker guide. Remember to click the link with instructions on how to put the device to test point mode! This is the only way I know how to do it.
Remember that DC-UNLOCKER is a paid service!
This is how to unlock the bootloader. Because you are on Android 10, the bootloader might re-lock so it's recommended to downgrade to Android 9.

Download the firmware from here. It should match your device. If you have a spare micro SD card it's the easiest way to install the firmware. If that's not an option for you, there are other ways mentioned in that same article that will downgrade the firmware, too.
