curious if any x64 firmware exists for the Amlogic S905W chip? Been searching and alot of what im seeing so far is x86.
Am also looking for 64 bit android for s905w - the more bare the image, the better - just trying to run some simple software on a device farm (hi reaper!)

Hi all,
Been toying around with putting a full blown multitasking Android OS on my X8 which runs on an Amlogic S802 SOC.
I found Phoenix OS (http://www.phoenixos.com/) which supports some ARM devices as well as X86 devices.
My question is whether it will work on the X8 as it states on the Phoenix website that the only ARM devices currently supporting are the Nexus 7, 9 and 10.
Any help would be appreciated in terms of attempting to get this running without bricking the device.
TIA.
Ryan
Hi I have a 2016 S905X "android box" on which I installed a LibreElec build. Now that the box has been replaced by something else, I was thinking of putting a custom android rom or stock android on it (not sure what's possible) so I can run a few apks of my choosing - kodi, terrarium, netflix, plex, tv provider's app, etc.
Is that even possible to do now? If anyone could give me some pointers to a starter guide to get some form of android back on this box, and how to know which custom roms and/or vanilla android versions are able to run on it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
This is the description of the box I got:
Kekilo Q Box Android 6.0 Marshmallow Q-Box Amlogic S905X Quad Core 2G 16G Dual WIFI 2.4G/5G 4K H.265 with Bluetooth 4.0 Smart TV Box. Android 6.0 OS, Amlogic S905X Quad-core Cortex-A53 2.0Ghz. 2G DDR3,16GB EMMC. Mali-450, Penta-Core GPU
I have an older x96 device 2/16 and I would like to update the room to android 7 or 8.
My tv box is based on s905 meanwhile, all firmware from Android 7 and 8 are designed for s905w. Question as in the topic
I just picked up a Magicsee N5 Plus Android 9.0 TV Box (Amlogic S905X3), and before doing much experimenting I wanted to backup the firmware.
I am totally new to these boxes, (I have used TWRP on my Galaxy S5), is there something available for these TV boxes?
Is there a FW update tool that runs on linux? (I've seen a windows tool, but I don't use windows).
Can anyone suggest alternate firmware for this box? I'm especially interested in linux, but I'm open to suggestions.
You can install slimboxtv : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...tatus-notification-bar.4018073/#post-85846789
