Hello mates,
I'm noobie in android development, so i'm confused..
The questions which i want answer to are :
1. What is ik.bin or ik.img file in roms and what does it do ? , how to work on it? ( most important question for now, i can't find anything about it ... )
2. Where can i learn about the kernel, preloader, bootloader, boot.img, md5, etc.. (files included in roms) and how to make & extract these files..? ( Is there a particular online course or books for it?)
3. How does this things work and what are there roles, what impact these files can give to android OS ?
4. if i have to start from scratch where should i begin with and how should i proceed ?
any guidance or help is appreciated

Before playing with cooked ROMs, I'd like to make an image of the original ROM for backup purposes. How can this be done? Sorry if this has been answered before - I searched the forums but couldn't find anything regarding Raphael.
I would also like to know how I can do this?
You can dump your original ROM using these instructions:

And how do i do so the .raw files becomes a rom file that i can flash with hardspl. or how do i do to get in the phone again

i had tried that but i think im a little bit stupid, i dont get it 100 %
isent it any easy way to build a flashable ROM from the .raw files.

I already read a lot of tutorials and know some basics but i still don't know how to get to the folders ROM and SYS that i need in my kitchen...
If someone could tell me how to extract this from the os.nb file or how to get to that folders and what tools i need for that...
I want to build a ROM in portuguese based in my niki ROM but with manila2D and some other apps and remove some things to...
If someone could help...

You cook ROMS by building the basic componenet up. 3 folders are vital:
1) ROM
2) SYS
3) OEM
The ROM/SYS are the basic OS of the phone that is needed.
The OEM are essentailly the various packages or programs that you want the custom ROM to contain.
The thread by jerpelea contains all that you need for your kitchen to start cooking.
Given that you intend to create a custom ROM that is in portugese, I would recommend using the Blackstone OEM packages. Eack program appears to have 2 folders, a basic program, and then a language for that program. It is certainly easier than editing and translating the package to portugese.
Please guys can somebody give me a good rom on toshiba tg01 with ANDROID.
There is a lot of stuff but it is too complicated for me to upload and go proper for good working device.
Can somebody make some ROM for toshiba to flashing like a normal Rom like windows 6 not software which is working in windows mobile.
Anyway please give me some good working rom in one file!! cab file or file for flashing device.
Will you have some good working ANDROIND ROM for Toshiba tg01 with easy instalation ? If Yes please give me a link.

You could follow the same thread where you are most likely to get more responses rather than this new thread! I think it won't be beneficial for anyone who tries to search for some information to look into 450 different threads if everyone started to post their questions as individual thread rather than addressing it in the correct thread!
