I just connected my Tablet to the dock and it is charging the tablet from the dock. It is not connected to any power source (the charger) so is this normal?
Yes, that is the point. You empty tablet's battery, you dock it, leave it, and than you can undock half-full tablet
By design. It would be a waste to have the tablet run out of charge with charge left in the dock because this would prevent you from disconnecting them. You want the dock to empty first leaving maximum charge in the tablet in case you want to ditch the dock.
Has anyone found a more portable way to recharge the TPT? I travel a lot and I'm afraid to rely on the adaptor to recharge in the hotel. My micro-usb has been replaced under warranty, but I don't want to risk another hardware failure. The docking station works great (quick to charge, doesn't feel like it will damage any ports) but is a nuisance in luggage.
Any USB-Hub that can charge the Note like the Docking Station?
If you know of one then ist would be important to get an idea of their power consumption of the Hubcontroller chip when in use.
As the Huawei mate 10 pro has no wireless charging i've been looking for qi recievers for USB-C. Plenty of them. But i still haven't found what i am looking for(nice title for a song). One time i want wireless charging the other time i want charging by cable. Of course i can pull out the plug of the receiver but after a while this will definitely be broken and is also not handy when carrying the phone in the pocket. What i am looking for is a qi receiver wich is connected to the USB C port but also have an entrance for an USB -C Cable. Anyone knows if this exists?
I was once looking for a iPhone solution that didn't involved a thick case, and I came with the answer that a simple pass-through is not possible, some protetiction and routing circuit is needed...
So maybe aim for a case? But I also couldn't find anything.

hey there, this is exactly what I am too looking for a qi coil that can be neatly tucked between the phone and the eternal protective case and has a usb c port which is also female so it can take in the usb charging without having to take anything apart, I imagine it to be not to difficult of a think if one had the parts to just modify something in existence. eg usb c and usb -c (female). If anyone finds anything, drop a shout!

I have ASUS TF300T with broken touchscreen, so I use it as a laptop with a stock dock
I upgraded to Android 7 KK Nougatella, so I want it even more usable by making it USB-C. I want to replace the dock's 40pin or make a dongle without loosing the 15V charging capabilities.
Does anyone know what's the pinout of the 40pin connector related to USB-C, and what's the quickcharge standard for this tab?
