Hi! I've bricked my Tytn while upgrading and read all the WIKI advice, without any result. I want to send it away for repair but bought it secondhand. Will HTC touch it? What if I pay?
If not, does anyone know a reputable (and quick) repair centre I can send it to? TIA!
You do not say where about you are from but IMEI-check have managed to unbrick phones, it's best to contact them and see as their charge is a lot less than a repair center will charge you.
If you haven't already you might want to leave your details in the "Dead Hermes...." thread as there might be something you missed. Follow the template that Pof's lays out in the opening few posts and try and include a USB monitor read out.
My phone just got back from the guys at imei check. I can tell you prices shoot me a pm....
Hi! Sorry, I'm in the UK.... where are IMEI-check? thanks!
imei-check are in the uk

Hi! I looking for somone trusted who can repair my Leo (v. T-Mobile USA). Phone died after flashing new rom with incorect radio. Will be great if I could do it in Liverpool or Manchester. Please.
you could always send it to htc, , , ,all tmous are still within teh 1 year manufacturers warranty. Dont mention flashing, and it'l be fine.
Thanks for answer. I called HTC already, but one nice lady checked the IMEI said that they have reported that the phone had something done with the software a few months ago and the phone is no longer a guarantee. I bought it from other person a week ago and have no contact with that person anymore.
ahh lol, so someone was stupid enough to try sending it back without removing hspl, , d'oh!
Good luck huntiung down someone with a JTAG box and the skills to dismantle it without damage. Get talking to freelance phone repair shops.
Thanks samsamuel ! Probably you have right. You are very helpful and experienced, you realy don't know anybody who could resolve my problem? Of course not for free.
heh, no sorry. I dont know anyone in the gadget biz. If I had a problem myself, and couldnt use warranty, i'd probably buy a riff jtag box and have a go myself, , but i wouldn't want to try it on someone elses phone, i hear the hd2 is sooo easy to break when dismantling.
Hello,
First of all, sorry for my bad English, I am French.
I have a HTC HD2 blocked on a phone operator (Orange)
I bought an unlock code (20€) on this web site (unlock-phone-htc.com) and after 92h, no answer, no contact.
Anybody knows this site? Is it a swindle?
I need help.. I want to get back my money or to have this unlock code.
If there is a method to unlock my phone for free, i take !
Thank for helping

No way to do it for free sadly.
you need to chase up the site for a refund, but check you gave them the correct imei, if not its your own fault and no refund.
also chech around here there are a few recommended sites, just look harder (try the search option it works well )
But even if I gave a bad IMEI, it is not normal that I have no news ! And effectively they asks only once the EMEI number and typing error is easily made :/
I would personnally never want to give my IMEI to anyone. With all those IMEI scams floating around.. Never give ur IMEI. Unless possibly to ur phone provider or the police. Seriously though, why pay 20 euros on a website, that has high chances to be a scam, rather than bring it in a shop where you know the guy will not dissapear... It also costs 20 euros to do it in shops, so.. its not about saving money, is it?
Anyways, check ur spams, ask the website, annoy them. Try and leave comments that u get no answer, and try and discourage future people wanting to buy from this site to get scammed
Hey guys,
How would I proceed if I want to get my razr repaired because, it has a tiny green pixel that's stuck. so, would Motorola repair it? I tried their emailing them and it's not so helpful, they told me reset my phone, which is just stupid.
Where did you purchase it from , no warranty I assume , maybe try a different route with Motorola such as site, number or vendor.

Bought from local listing, it should have warranty since, it hasn't been a year. There's no motorola repair site, where you can walk in and drop it off. I would have to mail it to them. Don't think carrier would help, since I didn't buy from them or have a account with them. Thanks for your reply.
hii everyone

If they are around the same price I'd just take it to the service center because that way a professional who knows what there doing can fix your phone. While the JTAG box is very helpful you can really mess up your phone if you don't know how to use it properly. Again if there about the same price its not worth the risk take it to the service center.

But... if you get a jtag/ riff box setup, then you can basically start a business unbricking phones, and maybe recoup your money.. But, remember, you need to have the proper software to resurrect your phone, or the know-how to develop it.

Mobile tech video claim to be able to jtag brick repair a Samsung admire for $40. Would love to find out how they do it.
I also found a website that sells a riff box (jtag) for $145 USD plus shipping.
