Half side of my LG G5 glitches a lot.. Its like a ghost screen. When one side is live the other has a delay sometimes and the screen messes up in that part...I noticed it usually happens when the devices warms up. Or when watching any graphical thing like camera or videos. I looked up the problem... Some say I gotta warm up the cpu. I don't know If I wanna do that. I am assuming it's a display issue. Also I don't think it's a software problem because I tried mirroring the screen to my pc... It shows perfect but in device it ghosts.... Now If I change the display, will this issue get resolved? If not what do I do? Please tell me... Any details you can provide. :crying:

Hello. I have issue with the touchscreen on my X10. First of all this phone is already 3 years old, and I'm the second owner so problems might arise from age. But everything else works fine though.
Anyway, the issue with touchscreen is, when the screen get wet a bit (whether it's from sweat or moisture or something), the touch screen gets jumpy. It does respond to my touch, but it reacts to the different spot of the screen, making typing and scrolling impossible. Ghosting. Erratic. Something like that. Wiping the screen does solve the issue, but it's bothering. I've removed the screen film that came upon the phone, but it still happens. Shouldn't touchscreen phone respond touch well even if the screen is a bit moist?
Any help is always appreciated. Thanks before. :good:
I too have this problem, any solutions ?
Bump
Hi!
My phone got a broken screen, but I got a replacement device from the insurance.
Trouble is, after a while with screen on the screen seems to become hypersensitive - it's nearly impossible to enter text through the display keyboard or just to zoom and move a webpage
After switching the screen off and back on again immediately it's OK again for a while.
Anyone else seeing this behaviour? I reckon it's a hardware problem, but maybe someone has a different explanation for this problem?
Hi everyone,
I am experiencing funny accelerometer issue with autorotation ON.
When I keep my phone straight it flips screen to the left. When I rotate the phone it flips again. Only the home screen works good.
The same is with the games - if I am playing every thing goes to the left because it thinks that the phone is flipped.
I do not know if this could be the issu with the spirit rom but on CM11 there is the same issue and with this rom's there are no calibration tools.
It looks like the start position for the accelerometer is flipped left.
When I test accelerometer with moving the phone up and down it looks like working left and right like the axies being changed.
Do you have any ideas, how could I approach this issue to fix it?
It is just not possible to use autorotation now.
Best regards to you all.
Have the same problem
Yea, it depends on which ROM you installed. Some work some don't. Been looking around, but not much activity for MEGA. Looks like everybody is loosing interest for this phone. I just got mine and love it, have the same problem with screen and camera. Has to do with what it thinks north is.

Hi this also just happened to me. Image is working but no brightness in screen except some bright ess in top right corner. Phone overheated a couple kf times and shutdown after this initially happened and consumed 2 full batter chages in minutes. Now the heat and battery problem is gone but screen still dark. Any ideas
Hi guys!
I`m having the very same problem. Back light of the main screen is gone, and it doesn`t matter how I adjust it, it is always dark.
Have you guys solved your problem already? Any ideas?
Marcos
Having the same issue as of yesterday, been Googling possible reasons and it seems the 'backlight controller' has malfunctioned and the entire screen needs replacing (allegedly). Considering a new screen costs almost as much as the V10 itself on ebay these days I'm going to be trying to take mine apart to see if an easier fix is possible, it is more than likely there isn't, but I at least have to try. Let me know if any of you guys have any luck in repairing your phones

Update: Having replaced the screen with a new replacement screen, I am still having the same issue, indicating an issue with either the mainboard and/or the chipset. Can't really go much further with this it would seem so unfortunately I don't think the issue has any DIY fix...
Sorry guys... RIP my V10

My LG70 just did this for a few minutes
My LG70 just did this for a few minutes. Scared me to think my phone was dying. Restarted, still the same. While I was googling it, the screen came back on. Hope it stays that way. Really strange to take it out of my pocket and only have the screen lit in the upper right hand corner. I hope this wasn't a preview of things to come. Love this phone and want it to last!
Seems that a lot of people complain about this bug/glitch. It mostly happens with this device, specific to some carrier like s5 t mobile etc. Mostly what people face is flickering with a green/yellow nuance that covers at least half of the screen, and that happens when you set screen brightness on minimum. Some other ( like me ) also get the flickering while turning the screen on or off. So I started doing some searches over the web, and tried all the 'fixes' possible. Sadly to me nothing worked. Some of these 'fixes' are :
Turning off auto brightness.
Turning off adaptive display.
Turning off screen overlay ( found on developer settings )
Also other strange ones like removing your sd card etc. Few people say that these worked for them, but for me it didn't.
I tried booting on safe mode, and the problem was still there. I also flashed official 5.0 and the same. So the only thing left was to blame the hardware. But I was sceptical about this since the problem is not persistive, sometimes it happens, sometimes not. Sometimes it happens on small scale, sometimes it is worse. Also a lot of people say that their devices were working fine and the problem started after marshmallow update. A certain person on an online forum claims that he/ she spoke with samsung officials and they are aware about this problem and working on an update to fix this. Does this mean it is not physical problem but just a software glitch ? Hard to say, I sent my phone to different local repair shop and they say it is screen physical problem. But maybe they just want to scam me and take money ( new screen costs too much )
After going through all these, I just got the idea to try and flash an older firmware, like kitkat. And to my surprise, on official kitkat rom it still does the problem, but FAR less.
So TLDR if you have this glitch and gave up on all the 'fixes' you found online, try flashing kitkat, it might work for you even if it's not a permanent fix.
I'm sorry to bump this topic being that it seems dead. However after my own research and now my second S5 from T-Mobile. I'm at the same point as you. My research states that it's more of an AMOLED screen issue, which after a factory reset and flash of older ROM and such does make sense. However, at the same time it could be an actual issue with the screen.
It's definitely a hardware issue in my case-cold temperatures exacerbate it ie-I have no flicker issues in the summer, but get flicker issues in the winter if my phone cool's down to the 60s. The flicker goes away if I heat the screen.
It seems the lower the temp, the more wattage (brightness) is required for the display matrix to function; insufficient wattage/heat when the screen is activated, and the matrix collapses. This is why it autobrightness tends causes issues when it provides power below threshold for matrix stability.
Easiest legitimate econimical fix is ordering a replacement screen, if you have reaervations about yiur shop doing it, it's a very easy/cheap/simple process to do yourself and plenty of how to YouTube videos.
okay, I will solve this issue for yall. I have an s5 g900t that had the screen flicker issue and also when temps are cold, the screen would blank out till I warmed the screen. I fixed this issue after a year of having the issue. a temp fix which can damage the device was found by accident when I went to change out a broken rear cam. heating the screen with a heat gun during surgery fixed the issue for a while then the symptoms came back. after much much research and testing, I found the amoled screen was the culprit. I ordered a new screen and replaced it. no more issues. I took the old screen and replaced it to my other s5 which is for testing only and the screen flickered under low light and would not come on when cold. so, if you have a screen that is flickering in low light and/or wont come on during cold, its your screen. replace it and fixed. how long the new screen will last? well 2 years later no problems, yet.
FYI, AMOLED screens are notorious for this issue and the manufacture is well aware.
