So my camera stopped working - LG V60 ThinQ Questions & Answers

So I backed up my phone and did a factory reset, however I forgot to send that backup to another device....is there any way I can restore that backup or at very least my pictures?

So you kept all your pictures on the phone itself? You did not move, or copy, them to any cloud storage at all?
If not...well...unless someone comes up with a solution I will have to say that they are all gone.

[Q] Help! HD2 gone to default after softreset.

Hello,
I was unable to find any thread speaking of my problem.
I made a softreset to my HD2, little red button on the back, this morning, and while loading, on the orange Windows screen it was saying "performing the phone for first use". I waited for a little while, and as it was taking too long and kept loading and loading, I took the battery out and removed the SDcard from the phone. After that it loaded pretty fast but now the phone looks like at the day of purchase.
It doesn't load or show any of the programs installed, contacts, messages. Nothing.
But through the file explorer it shows that all the old files are there. I mean the photos, program files and so. I don't know where the contacts and messages are stored.
It looks like the phone has the files but doesn't use them.
How do I make the pone go back to the files, and run all the soft?
Where are the Messages and the contacts are stored?
Please help me.
Messages and Contacts are stored in the Outlook database.
Try backing them up using PIMBackup, then hard reset your phone and restore it.
If you could just be more specific.
Where do I find Outlook Database? Can I still back them if they already don't show in my phone?

I assume you mean that your programs and information are on the SD card, since it appears that your phone did a hard reset, which clears the internal memory. The programs won't work because WM requires one to reinstall the programs in order to build the registry entries and copy any needed files to the \windows directory on the phone.
Your data files on the SD card should be fine.
The pocket outlook information is stored in the pim.vol file in the root directory, but if it hard reset those files are gone unless you backed them up. I use MS MyPhone, which automatically syncs my stuff every night at 2300.
After you get any files off of the main memory (if possible), remove the SD card and do a real hard reset - by removing the battery while it was doing initial setup, you may have stopped the OS from installing needed support programs.
Good luck, and be sure and come back and let us know how it is going.
You seem to be right, as on the machine itself there are no files later then the begginning of 2010.
Is it possible that the phone made a hard reset by itself?
Does it mean that there is no way to restore the lost data?
I have made a backup in RescoBackup a couple of month ago, but I added a lot of new numbers to contacts during the last two weeks.
Is there a chance they were saved on the SD card?
I have a pim.vol file, but how do I check if it has the right data in it? in wordpad it shows jibrish.
Thanks in advance.

Unless you backed it up to the SD card, to MS outlook (via Activesync) or to some online backup, sorry, it is gone.
If you have a pim.vol file from before, just copy it to the root directory of the phone (not the SD card). Note that you will ALWAYS have this file in the root directory; it is automatically generated on a hard reset. You will need to have a copy that was backed up.
I highly suggest that you take a couple of moments and make a backup plan for the future. Your phone may have a hardware issue that caused the hard reset; it is not easy to get the HD2 to hard reset, and it should never do it automatically. So you may find yourself looking for those backup files again.
Well, big thanks to all who tried to help.
My phone probably did a hard reset by itself. Something to be noted by HD2 owners.
Lucky me, I made a backup a month ago with Resco Backup v. 2.01. I have to say that the software didn't work at all as expected.
It froze every time I tried to restore the phone data. So I restored it in small portions.
And in about an hour I got my phone back (as it was a month ago).
After all big thanks to RescoBackup tool too.
Good day to everybody.

[Q] Please help! Can't restore data from backup after ROM flash.

Hey there.
I had Lite'ning Rom 1.4 installed and decided to switch to VillainROM.
I did a full backup with Titanium Backup of all my user data and apps.
I did another backup in CMW, both successfully stored on the internal SD card.
I flashed VillainROM incl the tweaks, correct Kernel etc.
Now when I load Titanium Backup and want to restore my userdata like contacts, messages etc it does say it successfully restored the data but nothing is showing up, the contact list is still empty. So are the messages etc.
Since the Samsung stock apps are touched by VillainROM, is it possible the signatures are messed up or something?
I'm really a bit shocked I cannot seem to import the data, hopefully I'm just dumb and the data ain't lost
Please tell me that's the case...
Cheers for ANY advice on how to get my data back.
Okay, turns out I'm dumb.
A simply reboot did the trick, doh! It should say that somewhere...
Nevermind me, I will go into my corner and be ashamed of myself

[Q] Former NOKIA FAN...needs DROID help with back up.

Hii everyone,
I have a samsung galaxy nexus, and I recently been having a lot of problems with it. Programs crashing, contacts crashing, MMS keyboard coming up and not typing and so on.....
My question is this, is there anyways to go into the files and take out my APK files, so I can do a factory reset and just reinstall those files again?
In my NOKIA days, we always had a backup option, where I would back up the files, and then do a factory HARD reset. And then I would restore the files using the back up.
In case of the android, I have LOTS and LOTS of files, and I dont want to go and download them all.
Any advice from you guys would be appreciated.

WONT that back it up on my phone again? And if so, then when i quick restore my phone, wont I lose it all?
TB can make backups of your apps and their data, so you can restore it when you wish (obviously, you need install TB first ).

titanium backup backs up your files to the sd card. When you do a factory reset it only wipes your system partition so the sd card won't be affected. You can then reinstall titanium and restore all your apps and settings/data.

If you haven't got a nandroid backup or even a normal backup, then there's no other way to retrieve your lost files! And I guess there was a ton of warns about backing up your system before modifying it. (Next time don't do it)
As for an alternative solution, can't you get those images back from other chatters' devices?

But there are too many photos...
I make a hard reset, but if I go back to JellyBean and use the Mass Storage with a Pc tool like Recuva or another can be useful? or its imposible?
Atleast some pics should be recoverable this way.
But the more you do resets and data writing, lesser would be the chances of recovery

Is it possible to append SMS from backup in any way?

I did a reset and root of my S9 in the fall, and then I thought the SMS backup from Titanium Backup gone. But today I actually managed to find it, hiding in another directory on the SD card, and I have no idea how I managed. But can I get back those messages in my system in any way? If I do a restore with Titanium Backup I will overwrite the messages that are already there, as far as I know there is no "append" function. Does anybody know about a way to fix this? Editing the XML is close to impossible, it has far too much stuff that needs to be changed.
