Phantom App "the package conflicts with an UNexisting app" - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK.. so.. i uninstall an app (like a year ago).. and it looks like it was not properly uninstalled. .
now i try to install the App again (same APK)..
or a new Apk .. new version of the App..
even from GooglePlay..
nothing ... all the same ... it does not install..
GooglePlay give me an error... and a link to a useless general information page. .
the APK.. give me the classic "the package conflicts with an existing app package"
And all the info i see on internet.. is about clone the app... or modify the app... or hack it in some way...
come on... this must be some text row... in some file... that needs to be deleted ...
so that the App can be installed normally again...
I found orphaned files and folders (one year later) of this app in various folders of / system and / data ..
I deleted them .. but nop.. the error continues ..
any idea...
i am in Linage Android 7.1.2..
normally .. I would recover a backup in TWRP ..... but this is 1 year ago .. I don't have backup that old... please.... guy some help...

What market did you install? How did you install it?
i have tried to install quite a number of version of market, but all not working...i install it via root explorer inside my phone...
and sometimes it show 'downloading' ....for infinity time!
You have rooted your phone so you have flashed a recovery? In that case, can you try to flash the gapps like explained in some Rom threads. Pick a 1.6 Rom thread.

i have rooted my phone...do u mean that i have to flash a new rom? but i wish to remain this rom...
No, most Rom posts end with a part like "and if you also want the google apps, you should flash this ..."

wipe cache trough recovery (if you have one installed on your phone)
and delete this folder using root explorer: /data/local/download/
(found the answer using the following keywords in the search tool : "market data download" ) here on 7th july post (ok maybe hard to find yourself, i knew the answer was in this specific thred )
Thanks but still is not working :S
http://media.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/confused.gif did you wipe dalvik cache too? under advanced in recoverymode? when you reboot your phone you should open the market and keep it open for 2 min (did work for me). also try to deregister and register gtalk. hope this helps
where is the option for the deregister ?
go to the market -> help articles -> android apps -> Troubleshooting -> Troubleshooting download issues. Do what is written There. So wipe dalvik cache didn`t help? '
NOPE, how can i exit the account in the market?
Ok. go to System Settings -> Accounts and Sync: select Google account - click "remove account "
after you open The Market and you should see The "Create a Google Account Dialog"
i think i know the problem, someone said in this forum "if you delete one of the apps to go with google talk (either provider or service) market will be stuck at starting download."
and i think i deleted one of the apps.. so how can i restore it?
That is right do you now which one you deletet? I have a backup of all system apps, and if you can wait till the evening, around 6 i upload it for you to the dropbox.

ill wait till u will upload
I think you need them anyway
I create a zip with all google apps. here is the link to my dropbox:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46218116/google apps.zip
i need to install 1 by 1 ?
re:i need to install 1 by 1 ?
if you have a rooted phone and recovery on it you can rename it to update zip go to x or cwm recovery -> install update zip ... done if not install them one by one
i installed and im trying to download and appearing this message:
" Sorry!
com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again."
did you reboot your phone? if it still not work make a backup of your apps and flash your rom again. I think this will be the best. we try anything
I like what Bojler wrote aboute the "Market Thing" :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19176314

[Q] Couldn't install application? -.-" Out of Space

Hi
Recently I uninstalled PowerAmp. However, when I tried to reinstall an upgraded version of it, I can't as the installer came out with the out of space error. However, the problem is that I have enough space in my phone. (Confirm have space one). I also tried installing different versions of the apk but it still doesn't work. Other bigger apps apk work fine except all the different version of PowerAmp.
Here's a catlog at the bottom.
Hi. Exact Same problem here

Go to data/app, delete com.maxmzp(poweramp) ...... something along that line. I can't remember the full name. So find the filename in data/app that has the same app as what you're trying to install
Root explorer
Go to /data/app
Del this line
com.maxmpz.audioplayer-1.odex
I have the same issue but with maildroid.
Any suggestions?

Uninstall whatever installed maildroid.
Delete maildroid.odex located in data/app.
Reinstall ...Done.
To everyone asking what to do with other apps. If you did a patch to that app, there might be a .Odex created in data /app as said above. Just go there and delete it.
Applies to ALL APPS

Thanks, it solved my problem... I'm new to XDA.
Problem solved
go to your File Manager and select your Ext. SDcard. delete some unused and unnecessary files to free the space on your ext. sdcard. Install it again, it will work.

LeEco stock apps that can be removed

hello friends ,
recently XDA posted a way to remove stock apps without root using cmd adb shell command , its actually not a complete removal process instead it hides he app from system and doesn't work at all , but comes back if the device is restored .
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
I removed some of the LETV apps like LeStore , LeMall , Music , Browser , etc
I would like to know which all apps can be removed from Eui 5.9.026S ,but ensures normal functioning:good::good:

You can't remove any of the the system apps using a app. No matter how many times you try. It will restore again. I tried it and finally decided just to disable those things which i don't want.
I successfully removed the SYSTEM UPDATE app of EUI. I tell the method. But i don't know it will work for all. If you removed something you don't know, it will flood error messages. Take a backup before doing it and I'm not responsible if you got phone bricked or flooded with error messages Just install root uninstaller.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp
It will show the importance of any system app. Except these updater, file manager and the apps you know which can be replaced, don't do anything to the apps marked as key module.
You need a root browser for this. I use solid Explorer.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solidexplorer2
Give root permission and go to ROOT -> SYSTEM - >APPS
all the system apps are here. Just find the one you don't want and delete it or keep it somewere else if you want it again. Reboot the phone. Some apps have services installed as separate app. Most of the google apps will have that. You have to remove both. Or else the service module will show tones of error messages. Be careful in doing this.
